Tad is back and now he’s up against Pohatu! Well, Tad’s Poliwrath is definitely a formidable opponent and I don’t think that Pohatu will be able to take him down. Poliwrath is pretty fast and his attack power is really high. Once he lands some hits, it could all be over. Of course this probably isn’t the last time we’ll see both of these fighters. Tad wins.
Fanfic version below
Poliwrath wouldn’t even get out of his Pokeball before Pohatu gets to Tad. That mask makes him practically lightspeed Think these fights out a little would you?
The fighters start out ready so Poliwrath is already out. After all, it wouldn’t be fair for most characters if they didn’t start out ready. If Link didn’t have his sword drawn, then some enemies could blast him quickly. If Goku couldn’t start the battle as Super Saiyan 4, he may lose some matches. Honestly, this was a pretty easy match for me to decide
Even then, Pohatu could run past Poliwrath and take Tad out in one hit. At his speed and power Poliwrath would be no match either. And don’t forget he has a Midak Skyblaster for long-range combat. Seriously, name one edge Tad has in this fight
Pohatu wouldn’t be able to run past Poliwrath. Poliwrath would grab him as he tries to get past and slam him into the ground. I’d say that Poliwrath is a good deal stronger than Pohatu and he can match his speed. The Skyblaster is powerful, but an Icebeam should do the trick. I’d say Tad’s big edge is that he has Poliwrath at his disposal
They’re around the same strength, and Poliwrath isn’t nearly as physically strong as Onua. Using his combined form this would be easy.
Pohatu could get past before the message got from Poliwrath’s eyes to his brain, let alone before he has time to raise his arms. I think you’re underestimating the speed Pohatu has later on in Bionicle. Even if this was just Tad’s Poliwrath vs Pohatu, Poliwrath would be no match. He’s equally strong physically, leagues faster and Tad is seriously, SERIOUSLY outclassed here.
They are both pretty strong, but in terms of physical strength I’d definitely go with Poliwrath. His strength is incredibly high as is his endurance.
Pohatu’s speed isn’t above Poliwrath’s to such a level. Poliwrath would definitely stop him in his tracks before he makes it to Tad. It’s possible that I’ll think Pohatu has more impressive speed once I see more of him, but likewise with Poliwrath. From what I’ve gathered on both of them, my money would definitely be on Poliwrath.
Tad’s a pretty tough trainer when he wants to be, but he doesn’t really need to command Poliwrath. Poliwrath knows what to do in order to get the win
Pohatu’s been shown to be fast enough to phase through solid objects. Even if Poliwrath was fast enough to catch him, he could phase through Poliwrath’s arm and continue on.
Physical strength-wise, what’s Tad’s Poliwrath’s greatest feat of strength you know of?
He could try phasing, but Poliwrath’s got his water gun and his ice beam. Pohatu won’t be able to phase through those. Also, if they’re both moving at similar speeds, then Poliwrath would probably be able to grab him anyway.
Hmm, it’s been ages since I’ve seen the fight, but for physical strength, I don’t recall anything that specific. He didn’t really fight hand to hand much
But they’re not moving at similar speeds. Pohatu is moving a lot faster. It would be like Poliwrath trying to catch a speeding bullet. As for his ranged projectiles, Pohatu could dodge them
Pohatu should be about as strong physically as a Poliwrath, especially one more used to attacking over range. Judging from cracks in the ground when he stomped it and boulders broken by him, his physical strength is at least as good as Sakura post-timeskip. But he’s also insanely fast and can control rock.
I still wouldn’t put Pohatu at such a speed advantage. Poliwrath can definitely hold his own in a battle of speed. Pohatu can maybe dodge it for a short while, but eventually the blast will hit him and basically end the fight. Once he’s frozen, Poliwrath can just shatter him.
I wouldn’t say that puts him at Sakura level. She did more than just make cracks in the ground. She basically made a crater and shattered a mini mountain. Her strength is a lot greater than it would first seem. I can accept that Pohatu may be about as strong as Poliwrath physically, but Poliwrath has a lot of long range attacks to take the edge
