There’s even an UPGRADE to this! And, what’s this? She can create A TORNADO in her peak condition. And before you say ‘oh, that’s pointless’, if there’s objects around, they will get caught up in that, they will hit Sigma, and they WILL hurt.
Bigger also doesn’t mean better. Sigma constantly fights on a 2-D plane while Rayne fights in 3-D. Considering most fights happen in 3-D, we don’t know how the shift in perspective will affect Sigma, who’s only really been seen fighting in 2-D fields. While Sigma is strong, he isn’t invincible. For all we know, a shift to 3-D will wreck his fighting strategies.
In the ova, it’s in 3d so Sigma knows what he’s doing. Also if you think a tornado with objects can hurt Sigma you’re vastly underestimating him. Sigma doesn’t get hurt by attacks of that calibur. Rayne has no shot against him. Sigma is the ultimate reploid and that’s why he just never dies.
Yes, that’s why Zero and X were able to beat him for… oh, I dunno EIGHT GAMES. And in the eighth game, he was killed off by the REAL final boss. He wasnt’ good enough to be the last boss.
Also, if a bomb gets in the tornado, that’s bad news. I don’t think Sigma can take a bomb, depending on how powerful it is. The torando would also deflect attacks from the side, making a good defensive barrier. You also fail to acknowledge the ‘time freeze’ and ‘berserk’ powers as well. Your reply to that?

It’s not a literal time freeze you idiot. She’s moving faster than human perception can see. And even if it was a time freeze, she could just set up a ton of rockets, armor piercing bullets, and cut through Sigma’s body, possibly, if she had enough time. All those bullets and explosions will not end well for Sigma.
You also neglect my argument that Sigma lost to X or Zero in every game he fought in. In the OVA, he was promptly trounced by Berserk Zero and only just managed to pull out a win. A berserk form will not make Sigma smirk. He’ll probably instead remember how Zero originally was and how he almost got killed by him and therefore go ‘oh crud, things just got a lot harder’.

Characters like Rayne take down huge demonic beings at the end of their games. Sigma is simply a highly advanced robot with a computer virus that makes him go crazy. I’m not dissing Sigma but he’s not about to walk out of here without taking some damage. I think Rayne has enough power to go toe to toe with Sigma.
I don’t know. Rayne sounds like a decent character, but Sigma is a “high above” meaning he can’t be defeated. Rayne can slash as much as she likes and she won’t get anywhere. It’s like in Star Wars when someone (I don’t know who I think Obe Won Kanobe, and sorry If I didn’t spell it right, I don’t watch Star Wars Much) said if you strike me down I’ll come back a hundred times stronger. If Rayne actually knocks Sigma to the ground he’ll come back that much better

I’m not refuting Sigma’s strength at all. Sigma is a powerful Maverick and was one of the best hunters before he was infected. He’s got brawn and, despite being driven crazy by the maverick virus, has the brains to back him up. He’s not undefeatable though. X and Zero have demonstrated this a lot. Rayne has faced more than her fair share of incredibly powerful foes, ones that X and Zero probably wouldn’t be able to face. Rayne is not some ‘decent character’. She’s got more than enough skill to avoid being written off by Sigma. He’d consider her a threat and for good reason.
Now you’re saying that her enemies can beat X and Zero. X has over 80 powers he can use until he wins. And Zero has Black Nightmare form which is basiclly Bass form. Then he pwns. also Sigma has neo form which would be able to break Rayne’s sword. After that he will turn into a giant head and shoot a laser that would finish Rayne. No one’s a threat to Sigma which is why he writes them off
