Dragonite is definitely a powerful pokemon! He’s an opponent that you should fear. Not only can he shoot the legendary Hyperbeam, but he can also fly at pretty impressive speeds. His durability is also up to par, of course Ash has a lot of pokemon at his disposal. Teaming up they take the win. Ash wins.

There was a battle like this at the end of the orange island set. Ash beat the Dragonite eventually (after first beating the rest of his opponent’s six-Pokémon team), but the Dragonite took down Charizard, Tauros and Squirtle before Pikachu finally defeated the injured Dragonite. He may have lost to Ash, but Dragonite is still one to be feared
I forgot that episode. He’s definitely a fearsome pokemon! In the manga it was shown that he could survive while submerged in lava for a very long time. He’s definitely one of the coolest Dragon Pokemon around! He’ll probably be back at some point
