Dr. Akihabara may be a pretty smart guy, but smarts don’t always equal combat smarts. He may usually be smarter than Ash, but in a fight Ash has a lot more experience. He can make better plans with his pokemon and take Dr. Akihabara out pretty quickly. Dr. Akihabara just didn’t have a chance. Ash wins.
