The Thing has always been known as one of Marvel’s semi power hitters. He’s not as strong as the Hulk or Thor, but he’s still considered to be stronger than Captain America or Spiderman. (with limiters and at half strength) On the other hand, Machamp is a power hitter and he’s also pretty quick. He could easily overpower Thing in a battle of physical strength and he also has a lot of long range abilities to back him up in the heat of battle. The Thing isn’t safe from long range or from up close so he seems to be doomed either way. Machamp wins.

The Thing is strong, but I’d say that even he will have reached his limit by then.

The Pokedex says that Machamp with its belt off can push a mountain with ONE finger and fire five hundred punches a second. So do the math as you can see a punch is stronger than a finger that pushes a mountain and multiply it by five. Machamp beats Thing. End of story.
Machamp is definitely one of the most impressive Pokemon out there. His physical stats are so good that he could almost qualify as a legendary Pokemon at this point. I always wished that he could have been playable in Super Smash Bros.
