Alain vs James Bond

Alain is back and now he’s up against the secret agent from the films. James Bond may have a lot of guns, but he’s not a very tough fighter and I’m confident that Alain would quickly be able to take him down for the count. He’s just that powerful at this point. He may only have one Pokemon, (At the moment) but that it more than enough to win this round. Alain wins.

  1. What are you talking about?! That’s like saying goku isn’t that great of a fighter. Bond is a secret agent for mi6. He is trained with nearly every weapon. He is most definitely a good shot.

    • Sure, but we see James Bond missing shots all of the time. Not as bad as Storm Trooper’s, but they’ll be shooting at each other and eventually James Bond will win, but after a long fight. He’s still a better shot than most other movie protagonists. Either way, Alain wouldn’t be stopped by such a thing. Charzard’s just too fast

  2. But that’s just movie plots. No matter how good of a shot you are, you can never hit the bad guy until the end. It happens everywhere, even in anime. And in many games like goldeneye, bond just looks at his enemy and no matter where they are on the screen, bond will always hit them. He can shoot Alain before he throws his pokeball and there will be no charizard to worry about.

    • Well, it’s composite either way so Alain starts out with Mega Charizard, but hypothetically I’m sure that he’d be okay either way. One bullet is almost never fatal and we’ve seen some people survive several. Goldeneye would count as gameplay mechanics unless that was a cutscene. If not, Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones would be expert as well. Plot hax is part of it, but James Bond has never looked that great in shooting. He was trained, but it’s like how in real life many professionals aren’t great shots. They just don’t have it in them.

  3. Depends where it hits. Alain has never been shot before and likely wouldn’t be able to handle it. It would put him in shock and he will drop to the ground dead. No matter how tough he is, he is not going to survive being shot.

    • I gotta disagree there. Maybe if this was Alex Rider or something, but Alain has been in immensely dangerous Pokemon battles so he’s no stranger to pain. The shockwaves from the fights along has likely strengthened him mentally. Alain would surely be able to last long enough to survive the initial bullet. Moreover, Alain is quick and I have a feeling that he could dodge Bond’s gun skills. Still, one bullet definitely won’t be taking this fighter down.

  4. Those are minor shockwaves. It’s not like he was tanking grenade explosions. Obviously he is no stranger to pain. He is in no way mentally prepared for being shot. He is use to having normal battles and sometimes taking minor damage. But has never faced a man with a gun before, he will be put into shock after being shot. And he can’t dodge a bullet either. He will think of bond as another trainer and believe he is taking out a pokeball when surprise,he gets shot and dies. If the initial bullet hits anywhere on the chest, it will kill him. If the bullet hits anywhere else, he will survive but likely be put into shock of the pain giving bond time to take more shots.

    • Alain wouldn’t be in shock. That’s like saying that Gary Oak, Ash Ketchum, or Pac Man would be put into shock by a bullet. Normal humans may be, but these guys are seasoned veterans. Alain has fought with the toughest trainers around and he’s witnessed blasts that leveled entire forests. Bullets are nothing to this and while Alain hasn’t experienced these attacks himself; he’s seen enough to be ready for the pain. This is also in part because the shockwaves and energy blasts that scatter across are felt by him and while it’s not as direct as a bullet; it’s just as powerful. He would possibly be in shock if a bullet was more painful, but it’s not as if it’s a 10 on the pain scale. It will hurt a lot and it will definitely slow him down, but not before the Pokeball is out. By then, it will be all over for James Bond and he won’t be able to shoot again. In this battle, they’re all out so both fighters will be on the go right away. Like how Red and Blue immediately dash before throwing a Pokeball. It makes sense because this way they can dodge attacks as they start.

  5. Maybe not Pac man, but Gary and ash would be put into shock as well. They are seasoned veterans in Pokemon battling. That is just a title and means nothing for their physical capabilities. Of coarse, a bullet is nothing compared to a pokemons attack. But Alain was experiencing a taste of what the actual attack can do. He never took a full attack head on. He has never experienced in any way the painful and gruesome of being shot. The horror and pain will definitely put him to shock as he has never witnessed anybody, especially himself, bleed so much as the bullet would pierce through his organs. That sight alone would put any man who has never experienced such thing, to tears and it will remain with him for life.

    • untedbear has a point. Then again, if we judge from previous battles on this blog, Pokemon trainers are all nigh-invulnerable, and Pokemon can easily block moves by a guy who can phase through solid objects and run faster than sound from reaching their trainer…

      • Well, really this is composite so they have their Pokemon at the ready. Think of the scene where Ash walked out with dozens of Pokemon to face off against Mewtwo. That’s how I picture the battle to start. Styalistically it looks a lot cooler if it’s just the Trainer and then he throws out the Pokeball, but it’s not necessary. Just like how James Bond can start off the battle inside of his car or Naruto can start off in Sage Mode. (Skip the concentrating nature part)

As for Pokemon blocking supersonic fighters…even the slowest Pokemon of all time is likely supersonic. That multiverse is insane when it comes to speed and they’re not too shabby in the power department either. Plus, Pokemon Trainers aren’t quite as mortal as average humans. They are human, but slightly more impressive.

    • Ash has been knocked around by Mewtwo’s psychic abilities and he got into a fist fight with Lucario. He’s been zapped many times and stabbed by Pokemon. (Stabbed with a hand of course, not a sword…) He’s experienced a lot of pain and I could continue for hours with all of those episodes. Gary is even more determined than Ash and a bullet simply wouldn’t be enough to stop them. Ash’s punch may not have broken through Mewtwo’s shields, but it is impressive that his punch made it that far.

Are you saying that most people are that effected by it? The war scenes themselves are usually what affect people the most or the fact that they shot someone. Just getting shot pales in comparison to that and the adrelinine will keep you going. That may not be the case if you hadn’t been expecting to get shot, but if you’re in a battle and you know the risks; it won’t affect you quite as much. It may sink in later, but your body just surrenders to primal emotions and reactions. You just fight back and keep on fighting. (It’s one of the few Attack on Titan lines that I agree with) I am glad that we agree on Pac Man though. Bullets are nothing to such a legendary figure like him. Ash and Gary wouldn’t back off and neither would Alain

  6. The show is made for kids, and ash is the main protagonist. They won’t let ash die because of that. It’s all just part of the plot. One can also argue that all the attacks that hit ash were weak since not much was done. All he had were bruises, scratches, small cuts, burns, and immense exhaustion. Never once has ash, Gary, or Alain been critically wounded. Ash has died before, but that was more of a quick death than a slow, painful one. None of them are ready to be shot to death. Bond can end the fight quickly with a shot to the head. He can be blood lusted and shoot Alain on his limbs to keep him still then shoot him in the stomach which will cause a slow painful death. Or he can be a complete maniac and shoot Alain right in the privates and let him suffer.

    • Ash definitely won’t die, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he knows true pain. Bruises are all that any Pokemon character gets even after taking a hit that would level a mountain. Ash has still met with severe injuries. I agree that none of them are ready to be shot to death, but likewise for any true hero. They don’t plan on dying and simply getting hit with a bullet won’t change that. A shot to the limb is what Alain would hope for since it would give time for his Pokeball to open. James Bond just won’t be able to land the deciding blow and shooting Alain in the head is easier said than done. As for the last part even Bond isn’t that much of a maniac. I know that it’s hypothetical of course, but no character would ever do such a thing…at least not when I’m writing them

  7. There is nothing stopping bond from shooting Alain in the head, and nothing you say will change that. When I said bond can shoot Alain on his limbs, I meant that he would shoot Alain in the arm which Alain is holding his pokeball with. Any mountain leveling attack would kill ash. He has never been hit with such an attack and every other time he was hit the attack was held back or the attack didn’t directly hit him. Ash, Gary, nor Alain have been faced with a firearm directed at them with the intention to kill. None of them have faced the horror of their own blood being spilled. They don’t know bond is armed, giving bond the advantage. Adrenaline can keep you going, but it won’t last forever. Bond will repeatedly shoot Alain in vital places like the chest and head, giving Alain no time for adrenaline to kick in. No matter how much of a hero he is, he is not surviving a barrage of bullets to his vital organs. Your argument for Alain surviving being shot is that he is a hero and he will survive through force of will and adrenaline. The same can be said for bond as he too is a hero and has been faced with many dangerous threats. Alain has never been in that much danger, only his Pokemon. Only ash has been faced with a lethal threat but even then, the threat was exactly directed at him and he was hit with only a fraction of the true power. Whenever Bond is in action, it’s always a life or death situation. All of the danger is directed at him at it always attacks with full power. And unlike Alain, ash, or Gary, Bond does not rely on others to get through the dangers. That’s one thing you forgot to realize. All of those three trainers accomplishments were due to friendship. Relying on friends and Pokemon to face anything. Take that away and they are nothing but kids. Bond is more of a hero because of that. He accomplishes everything by himself thus giving him more self confidence and will. That is why neither Alain, ash, nor Gary will survive being shot.

    • Alain is too fast. Also, they both know that a fight is going on so it doesn’t matter if Alain knows that Bond has a gun or not. He’s going to dash to the side and throw out his Pokeball as fast as possible. Bond won’t be getting a clean shot and it’ll be too late to stop the Pokeball. Alain wouldn’t survive a barrage of bullets, but that situation simply wouldn’t happen. One bullet will hit him at most and then Charizard will be out to end things.

The problem with James Bond is that he is not a hero…at all. He’s one of the worst protagonists that I have ever seen and I see him as a psycho just like the villains. He really doesn’t know his priorities and he can be painful to watch. He’s nothing compared to the heroics that Alain and Ash have accomplished.

Alain and Ash have essentially seen the worst that this world has to dish out and they’re still going. These kids are just too experienced at this point and I’d never count them out of a fight. It’s true that they may lose to James Bond if they didn’t have their Pokemon at the ready, but it would still be a better fight than you think.

  8. Bond is way more of a hero than ash and Alain. Ash gets more credit than he should. It’s all in his Pokemon. What is he trying to save the world from? Two idiots and a talking cat who can’t catch a rat? The plots are completely stupid and useless. He could have just used a master ball to catch mewtwo, deoxys, arceus, and the rouge genesect. If it’s that easy to stop them, then everything ash did was completely pointless. He risks his life for stupid causes. Bond on the other hand, does what be does for a REAL cause. He’s actually saving peoples lives and saves the entire world all by himself. Nothing bond does is easy where as what ash does is as easy as throwing a ball at a creature to catch them. He risks his life for a purpose. If it wasn’t for plot devices and censorship, ash would have been killed very early. He has no skills when it comes to just him and a challenge. He himself cannot do anything. You are one of the worst debaters I have ever seen if you can’t tell whether something is a true feat or just a plot device.

    • Bond is no hero. He’s a womanizer who actually threatened one into going with him. I don’t know how he hasn’t died from all of the activity that he does. He’s really doing this for his own interests and not because he is a hero. James Bond is a pretty terrible person.

Ash is the one who comes up with the strategy for the Pokemon. In case you don’t watch the episodes; they literally cannot dodge an attack unless Ash tells them to dodge. The Pokemon are completely dependent on the trainer in the anime so Ash has to react quickly enough to light speed attacks in order to tell his Pokemon what to do. Ash has to save the world from many threats and those legendary Pokemon are fierce.

Ash has saved the world more times than I can count and he never had to forego his morals to do it. Bond actually makes jokes when he destroys his opponents. Talk about being cold hearted! He’s definitely not saving the world because he’s heroic. It’s just for the thrills and he’s hoping that he’ll get recognition and a promotion. Ash does all of the hardwork around here and Alain has already proven himself to be a cool guy. Alain fights for what’s right and he went from Zero to Hero!

At least you admit that I’m not the worst debater :straight:

  9. If the Pokemon cannot dodge an attack unless the trainer says so, and if those attacks are light speed. Then no Pokemon will be able to dodge any attack since light is faster than sound, meaning that the attack will hit before the trainer has time to say anything. And ash is one of the most cold hearted person ever. He traps harmless creatures in a small, airtight ball then makes them fight other creatures until it faints from serious injuries.

    • We can’t over analyze physics in fiction. Things just happen sometimes. Ash is one of the more lighthearted main character. He never loses his temper and he always takes time out of his busy schedule to play with the kids. The Pokeballs are just a portal that leads to an endless space for the Pokemon, which is why they all love it except for a few Pokemon. Moreover, he always makes sure that his Pokemon are okay and he takes them out before any serious injuries can happen. Just a few bruises and all. At least he doesn’t grab a gun and go off murdering people while making puns about it.
