Luigi is a pretty skilled fighter, but it’s safe to say that he wouldn’t be able to defeat Lucina. Lucina is a very skilled swordswoman and she is a lot quicker than Luigi. Luigi has over 50 years of Mario games to give him various items and power ups, but he never got anything, which drastically improved his abilities. At least, nothing that would help him win this match. Lucina wins.

As a Lucina main I can confidently say Luigi wins because fireballs win neutral.
True, in Smash Bros, it’s safe to say that Luigi has a slight edge, although I prefer to play as Lucina.
Lucina beats up Luigi because she’s really cool.
