This could get a little sad for the fans, but I think that Toothless actually has a pretty good shot at winning this battle. Smaug may…possibly have more brute strength and cunning on his side, but he’s simply no match for a dragon like Toothless. Toothless’ speed is not to be underestimated and his energy blasts pack a punch. Toothless will be able to dodge Smaug’s attacks for as long as it takes to win this battle. Toothless wins.
No way! Smaug can swallow him.
Yes, but he’ll have to catch him first. Toothless is surprisingly fast and strong with those energy blasts at his disposal.
Not fast or strong enough.
Smaug’s speed wasn’t very impressive in the Hobbit films either though. He had a difficult time with the humans because he made for a large target.
I was envisioning book version.
Are there any differences in their portrayals?
The book version had a hardened belly from sleeping on precious gems for centuries and only one uncovered spot. Movie version has normal scales and one got shot off.
Gotcha, that’s too bad that the film couldn’t get it wrong. Nothing worse than seeing a cool character get nerfed for the movies.
To be fair, not everyone needs to be stupidly OP to be liked. But I still prefer The Hobbit book to this day. Making three movies was basically copying Lord of the Rings.
Yeah, there was definitely no need for 3 whole books. It was pretty dragged out.
Toothless has the upper hand because he is fast, has the speed. And that speed and that blast if toothless hits him enough times toothless will win.
