Rand al’thor vs Link

Rand al’thor makes his mark on the blog with this fight, but he will not be able to win. His spells are formidable to be sure, but Link is no stranger to magic. He can counter Rand’s blasts with his Dins fire and Links agility will also ensure that he stays away from the magical attacks. His safest bet is just to destroy Rand as soon as the match begins with a good Light Arrow. I don’t see Rand surviving such an attack. Link wins.

      • Shame light arrows only have a full effect on evil beings which Rand is the complete opposite of., Rand’s hypersonic speed + balefire + experience of facing powerful god-like enemies = GG Link.

      • They will still deal some damage. Link has his bunny hat, which increases his speed as well and he really only needs to land a good hit in. I’ll need to see Rand casually moving at hypersonic speeds to buy him dodging a light arrow.

      • Read Wheel of Time and see for yourself. His speed is like teleportation. He doesn’t teleport, he moves at teleporting speeds. And light arrows won’t do much to him since he’s a hero not an evil villain.

      • The Light Arrows will still have an effect though and that’s all Link needs. Rand can move very quickly with his good ole spells, but he’s still human level otherwise.

      • Balefire erases things from the timeline so Link is erased from existence including his past. Rand wins.

      • Thats hyperbole like Avada kedavra which is described as unblockable yet Harry Potter survived it. Link has been hurt by Ganondorf even with the Master shield. Link gets demolished.

      • I’m not saying that it’s totally unbreakable, but he can still block a spell with no problem. This is the hero of time that we are talking about after all. He won’t back down so easily!

      • A giant hand? Those guys are minions next to Link! Link has dealt with monsters like Majora and Demise! Rand has no counter to such a great array of villains and that shall be his downfall here.

      • Did you even read The Dark One’s abilities or did you just stare at the pictures? Come back and debate once you’ve read the Dark One’s abilities.

      • Okay…I did pay attention to a lot of the pictures to be honest. The write up was impressive, but I have a hard time seeing him do well because his lack of mobility. It’s great to have such incredible power, but a lot of it is really theoretical and without a good amount of speed…it’s tricky.
