Alucard (Hellsing) vs Sauron (LOTR)

Sauron is a mysterious being whose legends continue to grow as his reputation precedes him. That being said, Alucard is used to duking it out against his opponents even if his victory is always assured. Sauron won’t be scaring him and Alucard has the decisive edge in speed. A few good hits will be sure to take Sauron out of the fight and that will make things much easier for the vampire hunter. Alucard (Hellsing) wins.

  1. Nope. Alucard regenerates from getting ripped to pieces in seconds and uses his omnipresence to send Sauron to the sun or something. If not, my everlasting argument is that Alucard is impossible to kill and has like super regeneration and can phase out at any time. Phase out, hand in Sauron’s brain – Boom. Dead. And if you say, “Oh, Sauron can teleport to anywhere!” – Alucard is omnipresent, meaning he is everywhere. He can find Sauron wherever he is and kill him easy.

    • Sauron screws with Alucard’s mind and makes him forget himself, thus cancelling out his existence and false omnipresence. Nice try Hellsing fanboy. You haven’t told me how Alucard could hurt Sauron. Send him to the sun? Sauron’s true form is a divine ancient albeit corrupted spirit and the temperature of his physical form has been known to burn and incinerate people upon encounter. Alucard has nothing that can hurt Sauron. In his omnipresent state, he no longer has his familiars (not that they’d help him against Sauron anyway). Also Sauron has no physical brain. The armour Sauron wore, was his physical form and inside it was hollow with only his spirit residing in it. His physical form is like clothes to him, he does not really need one.

Strength- Sauron’s strength reaches up to kiloton + level like other Maia. Alucard has only been shown to lift ten tonnes.

Special powers- Maia have been known to raise entire continents from the bottom of the ocean and kill people with their presence or burn their weapons and render them useless (Osse and Gandalf have shown this). Alucard nearly got his ass kicked by a vampire with fancy wires and would have died if the rushed surgery on the vampire had not taken its toll. Also doesn’t Schrodinger have to perceive himself as one being or else he would fade from existence? Sauron, having corrupted other Maia like Saruman and enslaving nine kings through trickery can easily pull those mind games off. Even Gandalf and the elves feared the corrupting power of the ring which contained only part of Sauron’s mind powers.

If you still think Alucard can beat Sauron, you’re not worth arguing with.Sauron in the First Age has fought against powerful Maia and tanked lightning from the Valar that destroyed an entire continent (Numenor). Meanwhile…Alucard’s opponents = Vampires with fancy muskets, cards. Maniac regenerating paladins with bayonets.

Alucard’s omnipresence is fake because regardless if Schrodinger was able to perceive himself as one being or not, he should have not faded away from existence as true omnipresents don’t do that. Nice try again.

Alucard can be anywhere and nowhere if he wants to but he will still be there getting his ass kicked by Sauron. Also Sauron possesses other insane powers such as the fact it was his telekinesis holding together an entire region (Mordor) not to mention his matter control and reality warping. Alucard is way outmatched here.

      • Lol, really? If we were thinking lore, Alucard has killed a demon god in the manga. Besides, if Sauron was so strong, how could he have been defeated by mere mortals? May I also say that Schrödinger still exists? He is bonded to Alucard and is neither dead nor alive, but still living. If you are thinking lore as I do believe, Sauron had possibly some strong enemies, while Alucard has gone against Christ himself as Anderson was bestowed the power of Christ. Alucard has not only gone against the power of Gods, but has taken a projectile which shoots down fighter jets with his teeth like it was no problem. He has taken a certain weapon also, that I dont remember the name of, that can destroy some of the strongest stuff in the world no big deal. There was also the cards which, if I remind you, could take down uranium shells that go at high speeds and not be dented themselves with no problem.

If you think you need to diss a stranger through the internet because of a mere virtual battle between virtual characters, the. you are not worth reasoning with. I thought this was a place where we could tell our opinions. And no, I am not the biggest fan of Alucard, it’s just simply because in fictional writing like this the characters are not so strong. Again, if you thought I was being aggressive, sorry, I like LotR but let’s face the facts : Alucard post Schrödinger cannot be killed.

      • Let’s not overrate Sauron’s mental abilities. He could barely overpower Frodo’s mind and that was just a child! Alucard has many mental defenses in place so he will not be quite as susceptible to such an attack.

Both of these fighters have reached meta levels. The difference is that Sauron’s physical form lost to a single stab by a random army guy while Alucard’s human form is a true force to be reckoned with. When they are in their meta forms, Alucard’s omnipresence should allow him to hit Sauron regardless of the villain being corporeal or not. Either way, Sauron has the massive edge in speed..which I notice that you made sure not to mention in your analysis. Sauron is powerful, but Alucard’s attacks will wear him down rather quickly and Sauron will not be able to catch Alucard. His telekinesis was his best chance, but it’s not enough.

      • .That demon god Set was pathetic no offence. I’ve met more powerful mortals that that ‘god’. Take Emperor of Mankind for example. Technically he’s mortal but he can still incinerate souls from existence, create supernova level attacks in his weakened state, punched a Necron C’tan God back to Mars all the way from earth, create a galactic wide warp storm with his psychic powers and more insane feats etc.
Defeated by mere mortals? Are you calling Gandalf a mortal? Galadriel a mortal? Elrond? Saruman? Gil-Galad? Elendil? Feanor? Those were powerful immortals and they failed to defeat Sauron. Gil-Galad got his form melted by Sauron in fact. That ‘defeated by mortal’ part was pure PIS as his ring containing most of his power was thrown in Mt. Doom, the place where it was forged thus unbinding its power and destroying it, defeating Sauron though not killing him. Oh no, not the Alucard fought Christ himself nonsense again. That was a pathetic showing of Christ’s power. Man of Miracles from DC is supposed to be Christ and supposedly OMNIPOTENT. Anderson with the nail was far from that. Power of Gods? Since when did having thorns grow out of you and holy fire count as power of God? Even low level sorcerers could produce that. Alucard post-Schrodinger cannot be killed? Bwahahahahahaha. Dark Schneider dispels his false omnipresence and kills him easily. Dark Schneider has faced true omnipresents, dispelled their omnipresence with his Dispel Bound and boom, they’re gone.

Also the reason Frodo was hard to corrupt was because he was a HOBBIT. Yes, a HOBBIT. Hobbits were created by Iluvatar (Omnipotent God of LOTR universe) to be simple, happy beings who did not desire much, only a nice cosy home and a warm meal therefore they were already content and the ring could not lull them with power etc. Also the sword used to separate the ring from Sauron was Narsil. Its like a holy weapon designed to harm even evil spirits. It was reforged as Anduril and wielded by Elrond to kill the ghost kings in Hobbit 3. Again it was a moment of PIS because out of all those thousands of people in the army, Isildur in his moment of grief and rage at his father’s death managed to slice off his ring finger in desperation. Tell me how is Alucard supposed to win against this?

^ Sauron’s non physical form showed amazing telekinesis and pyrokinesis

^ Sauron repeats this and continuously annihilates Alucard on impact. Just his spirit appearing shattered concrete and sent it flying.

      • I have to say that those two videos do not really help his case. It’s cool to see his shadow form, but it’s certainly not very powerful. Alucard just needs to power up and slash away at Sauron while the villain is in that state. Sauron wouldn’t stand a chance! Gandalf is virtually a mortal as his durability is that of a human’s. His spells are the only thing that make him a powerful threat. The Presence is DC’s version of God, but the fictional equivalants are always a lot weaker than the real thing. Nothing could ever compare to the real God after all.

Dark Schneider could beat Alucard of course, but that’s another story. As it stands, I think Alucard’s superior physical stats should win him the day.

Technically the Presence was stated to only be God of half of the DC multiverse. Also Alucard has never hurt shadowy beings like that before so I need proof that he can hurt an incorporeal Sauron or he can’t do anything at all. Gandalf? Mortal? He is a Maia/divine spirit like Sauron and if it were not the fact that he was forbidden from using his full power to aid them, he’d have very powerful showings. Osse the Maia did raise a continent from the bottom of the sea in less than a day of course.

      • Well, Spawn is an interesting part of DC. You could argue that he’s barely even in it as even Angela was pulled into Marvel land. The Presence should still be above the Man of Miracles. Gandalf is essentially mortal so his feats should be taken with a nice grain of salt. Trust me, he’s simply not ready for the big time….yet. Proof that Alucard could hurt him? He just needs to blow away the smoke and Sauron along with it. Sauron has no real impressive showings, held back or not.

    • Alucard does not possess the power of the Light of the two trees to banish Sauron. In fact he does not have any holy powers. Also Sauron’s book feats are way more impressive, being able to drive beings insane with his presence or sometimes melt them as well as the feat of tanking the lightning of the Valar which destroyed a continent and caused the fall of Numenor.

      • Book feats are typically a lot more impressive, but that’s why you also have to take them a little less seriously. Books just like to go overboard with what happens since they couldn’t in films. That’s why films typically have the least impressive feats from all forms of media, because live action really can’t keep up with the characters after a certain point. The feats are still real….more or less, but there could also be a lot of circumstances that you are unaware of without reading it. Plus, it’s harder to provide evidence for the feats.

As for the battle, Alucard doesn’t need to banish him. Even without holy powers, his claws should be able to deal some damage and he certainly wouldn’t go insane thanks to his strength of will.

      • Can Alucard’s claws sink a continent? Nope. Also Alucard only has gloved hands not claws. The Captain/Werewolf Nazi
from the Hellsing series easily forced Alucard to retreat with one kick that split him in half in Hellsing Prequel: The Dawn (Series before Hellsing) and I doubt the Captain is continent level durability or higher. Also Sauron out strengths Alucard and the Captain since he could punch down mountains easily at full power. Also films tend to nerf characters e.g. Thor, Hulk.

      • True, but that wasn’t as Alucard’s strongest. Granted, I don’t see Alucard taking down a continent in any form. Still, his speed should be enough to keep Sauron at bay. Films do nerf characters for sure, it is the weakest medium. Still, it’s one of the only ways to gauge Sauron at this point.

  2. Oh, also, Alucard exists if he thinks he exists and also has mind powers, therefore if he was say obliterated and reduced to mere molecules, he could think himself back.

  3. To not let there be a grudge, I’d call this a stalemate. Alucard would regenerate from every wound and think them away, phase out to different planets and realms etc. etc. And Sauron is basically a divine spirit with no brain therefore Alucard cannot use his magic on him. This is obviously a fight with no wins. They’re both immortal too.

    • Hey, no wories. I still try to keep this as a safe environment where everyone can feel free to express their opinions. I’ll make sure that personal attacks and insults don’t have a place here. That being said (It was a long comment so maybe I missed something) I don’t think Random was being too insulting there. He used the term “fanboy” as an insult to be sure, but you are using the name of “JustSomeFanboy” at the moment so it doesn’t necessarily have to be an insult. I’ve never been a fan of the word myself, but it can be a little neutral. I allow insults directed at me and at characters, but I’ll be sure to keep things civil between posters. If you think Alucard wins, you should feel free to stick with it! If it’s any consolation, I naturally agree as seen by the original post 😉

Never mind, I did see the word “idiot” used in there. I edited the comment appropriately.
