Mundus makes his debut onto the blog and this guy is even more formidable than I could have guessed. He can shoot out powerful blasts of different elements and he can fly as an added bonus. Link is no stranger to fighting gods and monsters, but it’s safe to say that he won’t be winning this round. Thanks to the reboot, Mundus also got more of a humanoid form, although I’m not entirely sure that he would need it anyway. If Link can land a light arrow, that could be the match, but Mundus should be able to finish him off first. Mundus wins.

Wait how does Link lose to Mundus but beat Morgoth? Not that I don’t agree with this outcome, I 100 % agree that Mundus beats Link due to his impressive feats and the fact that he blew up the island at the end of DMC 1 despite being weakened and sealed away in another dimension. Mundus is definitely more terrifying and deadly than any Zelda villain though. I mean this guy is called the “Devil Emperor of Hell” and has an army of powerful demons and his own versatile abilities to back it up. Not even the Triforce could stand up to Mundus.
Soz but I needed to add some stuff in. Morgoth is around the same power level of Mundus, if not more powerful but somehow Link beats Morgoth. How does that work?
It’s a little dicey to be sure….I’ll have my full reply in the other comment. Needless to say, I’d say that Mundus is significantly stronger than Morgoth.
Agreed, Mundus has abilities that are simply above the level of anyone in the Legend of Zelda series at this point. Hyrule Warriors did make it a bit of a close fight at times though. The reason why Morgoth could not win is that he is not quite as impressive physically. Morgoth’s meta feats are about as good, but I don’t think that he could keep up with Link physically. Link has defeated entire armies and his attacks have been shown to be very powerful. The Light Arrow barrage would stop Morgoth, but Mundus would be fast enough to buy himself some time.

Wow, the time definitely is flying by. I did do some of your matches about a week and a half ago, but not one of these in particular. Should I make these top priority? The blog typically doesn’t do FIFO rules (First in first out) so for example, a request you submitted yesterday could actually be published before one you did a month ago if it’s that much easier to decide the outcome, but I can certainly aim to finish these first.
