While Toad got some heavy duty powers ups in the New Super Mario Bros for Wii, Mario already had most of those and more. Mario will always be the better fighter between the two and shows it a lot. Toad just lacks the powers that Mario has. Mario can also punch Toad away with incredible ease. Mario wins.
