This battle takes place a couple of days before the Cell Games. Perry White had told Clark Kent to get an interview with Goku, but Goku’s friends had said he was too busy. Thinking fast as per usual Kent told them that he was Superman. They quickly brought Goku.
“Wanna spar?” Goku asked. Superman noticed a certain change in the air and could tell that this was no average fighter. His interest piqued, Superman accepted the challenge, but with some conditions. “If I win, then you give me that interview…and if I lose…I’ll go beat Cell for you,” Superman said with a slight undertone of arrogance.
“You’re no match for Cell, but that’s okay since I’m gonna win,” Goku replied. Superman couldn’t notice any arrogance in his tone and knew that Goku was just saying what he thought was the truth. Superman felt bad for him. “The poor guy actually thinks he can beat me” Superman thought with a sigh.
2 hours later. Both fighters were face to face on a rugged valley. “There’s nobody around for miles so we can fight all out,” Goku said as he went into a unique fighting pose. “Oh man….what kind of fighting post is that!?” Superman thought as he mentally facepalmed.
“Well, here I come,” Superman exclaimed as he disappeared from sight. Of course he hadn’t actually disappeared, but was simply going too fast for the human eye to see. What Superman didn’t know was that Goku was no ordinary human! (The world thinks he’s just a strong guy)
Goku lifted his arm which was glowing bright yellow. “HAAAAAAAA” He yelled as the power emanating from his arm started blowing everything away. “It’s like a tornado, but 100X worse than any I’ve seen!” Superman thought as he fell into a mountain.
“Cmon! Come at me with everything that you’ve got or this won’t be any fun,” Goku exclaimed as he dissapeared. Superman braced himself for an attack, but Goku suddenly appeared above him. “Miss me,” he taunted as he punched Superman in the face.
Superman smashed into a mountain over 10 miles away. “That punch nearly broke every bone in my body!” Superman thought as he struggled to get up. “Sorry…I wouldn’t have punched so hard…if I knew that you were this weak,” Goku said as he extended an arm to help Superman up.
“Can I still get that interview?” Superman asked while trying not to think about how badly he was humiliated. “Sure, but not now. I need to get ready for the Cell Games!” Goku said as he flew off at such high speeds that Superman couldn’t even begin to comprehend it.
Goku flew home. “I’m back guys!” he exclaimed as he grabbed some pizza. “Good, because this just came in,” Vegeta snarled in his usual gruff tone as he threw a paper at Goku. Goku quickly caught it..not letting on that it almost flew past him.
“The Ultimate Tournament……sounds interesting!” Goku yelled as he jumped up. All of the food fell off the table. “Yes, Kakarot, we’ll all be fighting various opponents and our records will show how well we perform. “Of course my record will be much greater than yours,” Vegeta said with a smirk. “Assuming we live past the Cell Games right?” Krillin squeaked.
“Don’t worry guys..I’m pretty much invincible!” Goku exclaimed with a laugh. “Hate to break the party guys, but it’s already started!” Bulma exclaimed as she turned the paper over. “There’s more,” Goku cried as he looked at the other side.
“So, that fight against Superman counted as a win?” Goku said as he scratched his head. He didn’t quite get it. “Yes, apparently all battles starting today count as official tournament battles. Also you can’t fight anyone more than once,” Bulma said as she finished reading the letter.
“HA! I already have a better record than you Vegeta!” Goku exclaimed as he danced around the table. “Not for long Kakarot…not for long,” Vegeta thought as he grinned. Meanwhile at the Daily Planet, Superman was reading the same letter.
“Great Scott! Because of that loss I’m in last place,” Superman thought as he frowned. This was obviously not fair, but for now he would live with the loss. “Besides, with my speed he could quickly rack up the wins,” He thought to himself as he watched the moon come into view.

Saiyan > Kryptonian
Saiyans are a warrior race, Kryptonians are much like the Plant people (whom the Saiyans conquered), they are a technology based race. Most people keep forgetting that Goku isn’t human, but a Saiyan.
Glad you agree 🙂 Yeah, Superman stands no chance against Goku. He’s just so much stronger it’s not even funny. Saiyans are definitely one of the strongest races in all of media!
Indeed, DBZ characters in general are completely overpowered that it is ridiculous. You need to watch Saint Seiya series if you have not already, you will love it. Superman vs. a Gold Saint would be a fairer match (though I still think he may lose).
Yeah, SSJ2 Goku’s a casual solar system buster. Imagine how much stronger they are later on! Yeah, I really do need to check out the series. It’s supposed to be pretty good. I still think the Gold Saints would beat Superman, but it probably depends on which one
Saint Seiya is a great series, but very long like DBZ. That said, Gold saints can all move at light speed, also, saints all possess super strength.
Yeah, I think all of the Gold Saints could probably beat Superman, but how badly depends. I usually watch anime on Dubhappy. It’ll definitely be a good series to start one day 🙂

I’m not some raging super-fan, I actually favor goku. But let’s show supermans speed, strength, and other assets.
SUPERMAN
Superman, in the comics, could travel at light speed.Also, his strength is great enough to keep TWO WHOOLE UNIVERSES APART during crisis on infinite earths,and if that’s not all, he can make galaxy’s explode with his heat vision. So, if we factor in his speed and strength, and we know basic physics: Force is Mass * Acceleration, then Mass is Acceleration Times Force.speed of light times an assumably infinite amount of force would make mass infinite as well. This means that if superman used a light speed punch, his fist WILL become a BLACK HOLE, Pulling in Goku,the planet they are on,surrounding moons, planets, suns, etc.,for an approximate 1.0008367300000000000000000892 of a second, enough time to suck part of goku in.Face it, even final form super saiyans can’t survive with half their internal organs missing.
Also, Superman’s bones don’t break. EVER. Not even under a red sun.Sorry, Goku, no kamehameha out of this one.

Superman is definitely powerful, but he just won’t be able to take Goku down. Goku was able to surpass Cell, who could blow up whole solar systems in a single blast and also defeat Buu, who was breaking dimensions by powering up. Goku matched the same feat while he was in child form and used a single kamehameha. Omega Shenron was able to end the universe!
Superman is fast, but Goku is faster. Superman is strong, but Goku’s faster. Aside from all of that, Goku can transform into a Super Saiyan and forms that are even beyond that. Goku’s ki blasts are also a significant advantage since one hit can rip holes through dimensions and he can essentially spam those. Superman’s tough, but he’s just not able to fight someone like Goku.
Also, while Superman’s bones don’t usually break, (Unless Doomsday’s in town) an opponent at Goku’s level of strength can definitely accomplish such a feat.

I’d go with Goku in a fight!
The battle would be more like this:
They rapidly battle, in mid-air, the very force of their blows shartering entire buildings. Then, Goku turns SSJ1 and smashes Superman to the ground. Supes lands several blows to Goku’s solar plexus and chokes Goku into a building. Then, knowing this was no ordinary opponent, Goku amps it up to SSJ4. He obliterates Superman and barely lets Supes go alive.

I don’t even think the latest iteration of Goku needs SSJ1 not to mention SSJ4 to beat Superman. DBZ is on a whole diff level from DC.
I agree with the result, but Goku would win this battle with ease. He’s the legendary Saiyan who was raised on Earth after all
