Captain Keyes is back and this time he’s up against Kirk! Well, these two are both pretty similar when you think about it. One blast from either of them could end this round. Still, in the end I think I’d have to go with Captain Keyes to win this round. Captain Keyes wins.
Update! Captain Kirk would be able to speedblitz Captain Keyes thanks to his super speed from the original show. In his accelerated form, Kirk would be far too fast for Keyes. Captain Kirk wins.

Yes, that super speed definitely helped him a lot. Kirk had overturned wins against Predator, Captain Keyes, and Speed Racer. Other matches that are currently being brought back into consideration (Could go either way basically) are the matches against King Kong, Kyodaigumo, Three Giant Snakes, and Clover. It’s definitely been a great day for the Captain!
What about the characters from Ruroni Kenshin? Speed seemed to be the deciding factor there.
Kirk was shown to be an excellent sword fighter in the episodes,”Bread and Circuses,” and “Day of the Dove.”
Also, in “Day of the Dove.” Kirk had super-regeneration, as did everyone onboard.
Kenshin is still a little too high tier along with his fellow fighters. Characters from the first few arcs or just fighters who aren’t at Kenshin’s level could be doable for Kirk. The problem is that Kenshin’s attacks are completely lethal. Even grazing Kirk deep enough would end him. Not even regeneration would be able to stitch him back together. Speed wise, I would still put Kenshin ahead of Kirk, but there are definitely more options available for the Captain now
