Pikachu vs Terriermon

as
Terriermon was one of the big digimon from the Tamers saga, but can he handle the most recognized Pokemon of all time!? Pikachu is extremely powerful, but his main trump card is his speed. When he’s using Quick Attack or Volt Tackle, he’s hard to stop. Terriermon is much bigger in his mega form, but Pikachu’s speed/power combo will wear him down. Pikachu wins.

  1. Once terriermon digivolves to rapidmon, it will be a stomp. Rapidmon moves faster than light and one tri beam attack will do the job. Pikachu is nowhere near light speed, even with volt tackle and quick attack. I’m pretty sure most would agree pikachu’s top speed is equal to or greater than lightning, which is 224,000 mph. Volt tackle hits with the force of a warhead, so it’s most likely town level. Rapidmon has fought possible country level digimon like gallantmon, so pikachu will be no problem.

    • I gotta disagree there. Pikachu’s Volt Tackle basically makes him Light Speed and he has taken on just about every kind of fighter. His large array of attacks gives him the edge from long range or for close combat. Rapidmon is powerful, but I don’t see any of his attacks being able to hit Pikachu. Pikachu is just too fast

  2. If pikachu was light speed, how could other weaker, slower Pokemon and trainers be able to dodge his attacks. The human eye can’t see light speed objects. Yet Ash, his friends, announcers, and everybody else see can still see him even when he is battling and using volt tackle.

    • It’s part plot hax and part movement. It’s like how Flash and Quicksilver get tagged by random humans or lasers. While they’re moving, then everything is slomo and they can outspeed, but things seem to go at normal speed while they aren’t in combat. Marvel comics denies this since Quicksilver said that everything is in slow motion to him, but this is how I see it. It explains why guys like Goku and Superman can still be startled by quick actions. (Although Superman is likely faking it all the time) So, Pikachu allows others to hit him because he’s not in battle mode or hasn’t used the attack yet. Unlike other fighters, Pikachu needs to be using Volt Tackle or Quick Attack to access his true speed. Everyone can see him in thoery, but it’s very complicated. The anime’s fake background likely help as well

    • I’ve watched Digimon Tamers and Rapidmon looks very bad speedwise. He may “technically” be light speed, but he’s at a far slower speed than Pikachu. In order of importance Shown Feats>>Written Feats. It’s why guys like Machamp can move continents, but they may not show this on the blog because the anime counterpart doesn’t live up to it. It’s a delicate balance of course, but shown feats typically take priority. It’s why blasts that aren’t called planet busters can beat official planet busting beams

  3. But rapidmon’s feats in the games prove that he is light speed and a country level character. You can’t just use only the feats shown in the anime.

    • Which games have showed him to be light speed? (And not just said so in his character bio) I’ve played the Digimon World games and Rumble Arena, but he’s never done anything particularly impressive or feat worthy

  4. Again if he digivoled to his mega stage terriermon could easly defeat pikachu because let’s face it pikachu never evolves at least not in the tv show

    • His Mega Form is powerful, but not very quick and that’s where he loses the fight. Pikachu could speedblitz all day until he wins even without his Raichu evolution

  5. Battle of the mascots.. I am surprised Pikachu wins a lot of battles in your blogs, you really do give him some nice feats, huh?
