Dark Bunny was a character that was inspired by Batman and he does a pretty good job of being cool. That being said, the gap between these characters is extremely large and I don’t believe that Dark Bunny would stand a chance. It would simply not be possible for him to beat Batman since the dark knight surpasses him in all skills. Batman has more experience and more gadgets as well. Batman wins.
Don’t you have some rule about characters who are parodies of other characters?
How do you decide if something is a parody or a homage?
Parodies and homages are certainly a tricky part of the problem. It’s really hard to see the line between them and Dark Bunny is certainly inspired by Batman. If his alter ego had been Billy Wayne or something like that then he wouldn’t have been allowed on the blog. As it is, having him on the blog Is a pretty big stretch. He’s been around for a while though and the blog rules weren’t really in full fruition at the time. It’s why Superboy Prime made it on the blog. There’s no way that he would have been allowed in if the rules had been present. In Dark Bunny’s case, it definitely could have gone either way and it’s possible that he would have been counted in composite Batman as a parody
I just watched some Arthur. He does have a secret identity, and a cave with a car.
In “The Last Of Mary Moo Cow,” there is a rat with green hair dressed the same way as the Joker, and another person with the @ symbol, a parody of the Riddler.
There’s even a light in the sky with his logo to signal trouble.
True enough, I just saw the Dark Bunny montage on Youtube. This guy definitely wouldn’t have made it through the parody filters had he been introduced when the rules were established. Ah well, at least we know that Arthur has good taste
Note: don’t plagiarize characters and then give them nothing to work with.
Absolutely, it’s not a good strategy.
