One Above All vs Madeline

Requested by JHG The One Above All has had a very rough time of it on the blog. He has well over 100 losses at this point and the number continues to grow. That being said he isn’t completely hopeless in terms of combat abilities. He can still throw a good punch or a kick. Madeline is a little girl while The One Above All is an old man. In this case, he actually has the physical advantage for once and he should be able to defeat Madeline in close quarters combat. Poor Madeline drops down the blog ranks with this loss. One Above All wins.

  1. What’s your evidence TOAA is an old man?. He only took that form once. And he can shapeshift

In infinity finale he’s not depicted as stan lee or anything. He’s depicted as a real comic book char.

    • That’s the form that he always appears in. Could you link a picture of how he looked in Infinity Finale though? Another form would certainly help him a little.

Just googled it. Cool form although it won’t help him much. Great to finally have a new pic to use though.

      • Gotcha, I’m actually planning to use one of those forms in his next fight. At least he did beat Madeline though. As for the handbooks, they simply don’t count for all that much on the blog because the character still needs physical feats. LT has been shown to fire laser blasts, but the One Above All has nothing at the moment.

      • Your saying that your not ignoring authors and handbooks stating he’s superior to everyone in everything but he can’t do anything?

Beating EVERYONE in marvel isn’t a good feat? That includes LT galactus thor Zues mephisto etc etc It’s also more powerful than the IG which has a slew of feats.

TOAA can walk talk and I’m sure he can fight. You don’t see feats from omnipotent.

      • That’s the problem. Omnipotence is not a good power. He may as well not have it and it wouldn’t make a difference. Honestly, the handbooks saying he is the best simply don’t help his case. Throwing a single energy blast would help him 10x more. It’s due to the fact that one of the blog rules in the rules section is that you can’t wish someone out of existence or do any of that meta physical stuff that ends a match in the blink of an eye.

    • So your going to ignore handbook and author statements? Stan lee’s called him omnipotent.

Does thanos’s statement about the HOTU being a fraction of TOAA’s power count? Why would he lie or be wrong about that? He beat everyone in marvel besides TOAA.

Also do you think that LT could beat TOAA? Or could Thanos beat LT without the HOTU?

Or could anyone beat TOAA who has feats? Or do you just do it for the blog?

He did restore a universe (possibly multiverse) in infinity finale. And he’s above the concept of space and time. (If we accept thanos’s statement as true)

      • Not ignore it so much as it just doesn’t help him in a fight. One Above All still needs to be able to do something. The HOTU is good, but only because it has some mild energy manipulation. You need feats to win a fight here. Restoring things is good, but it’s also not combat applicable.

    • You do know that people with omnipotence can’t lose right? Via definition there all-powerful and can do anything. If an omnipotent wanted to beat bass they could

Then TOAA shouldn’t win any matches or be here since he has no feats. How did he even win here?

But on sites were author statements and handbooks are allowed he would stomp every time.

      • TOAA has only beaten the Presence, Nemo, and Madeline I believe. That’s just because he’s physically stronger even in his human forms. If his other feats did count, the meta ones, then he naturally would have won all of the battles. It then goes around in rings and rings though with the whole omnipotence thing.

  2. @ Dreager1 Based on the way were going on other threads, I’m now starting to think your trolling or being biased in a sort of way. TOAA is beyond the concepts of space of time and you keep ignoring the Official Marvel Handbook. TOAA is the most powerful being in the Marvel Multiverse.

    • But we’ve been through this. Once you’re beyond those concepts, you’re also beyond strength so you quickly sink down into being one of the weaker opponents in the universe. It’s a total mixed bag at this point.

      • Not so much wrong as we just look at things in a different way than the textbooks. For example, the average comic writer isn’t thinking about putting these guys in a fight. To them, telepathy should work on just about anyone and cosmic beings should be able to snap their fingers and erase someone. I just disagree with those two concepts at least when it regards a fight.

    • So you would ignore the Official Handbook? The One Above All is above the concepts of space and time. You are treating him like he is powerless. He’s not. He’s the strongest being in the Marvel Multiverse. Bass, Megaman, and Goku are nowhere near the top 10 strongest characters in fiction. TOAA is above the Living Tribunal.

      • I’m not ignoring it. I’m barely even saying that I disagree with it. However, for the purposes of the fight, I don’t agree with the ability to snap someone out of existence or for cosmic powers on such a high level to be enough to warrant an instant win. If you ask me, TOAA basically is powerless, BUT he can fly. That does give him an edge over some fighters. LT>>>>>TOAA.

After Bass, Megaman, and Goku, I’m not sure who would make up the top 10. I like to think that Vegeta, Frieza, Seiya, Ichigo, Tsuna, and maybe Aizen/Bach could make an argument for those spots. It really gets tough after the top 3 though.

      • @Dreager1 None of those guys have done anything impressive to even insists there on Galactus’s level. My list of the top 10 strongest characters in fiction are TOAA, the Presence, Man of miracles, Anti-Monitor, Beyonder, Molecule Man, Living Tribunal, Great Evil Beast, and Lucifer Morningstar.

      • Pretty cool list, but not much variety. Essentially, you have all of the DC and Marvel cosmic guys on the list. Does that mean you consider and DC and Marvel universes to be the strongest in all of fiction? Where are all of the anime characters in all this?

    • Meh, not a lot of anime characters are strong. There’s Elder God Demonbane, Featherine Augustus Aurora, Kami Tenchi, Gurren Lagann, and Getter Robo.

      • Fair enough. I would probably switch those names up a bit though for Hit, Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Bills, and Whis. Maybe throw in Protoman and Mr. Famous’ netnavi in the manga if we’re feeling lucky.
