Morrigan is another character who needed a loss. Now she’s got one she’ll never come back from. Kaiba is arguably the Greatest Duelist and with more than a hundred cards she can’t defeat him. Kaiba tech rules. Kaiba wins.

I disagree. Morrigan once destroyed a planet, and she was only using 2/3 of her true power. She has FTL speed. Her power was so great, it was a threat to the universal being Jedah Dohma. Most of Kaiba’s monsters are male. All males, no matter what species, are susceptible to morrigan’s succubi powers. One touch and any male will fall under her spell. Not to mention kaiba is a guy.
The big thing that it all boils down to is whether the monster’s respect for Kaiba will overpower her succubi techniques. I believe that respect wins out and Kaiba would be able to resist her. He isn’t into romance and her best chance is to simply overpower them, but Obelisk will make that very tough
Her powers have worked on all males including vampires, zombies, ghosts, demons, werewolves, cat people, an alien made entirely out of flames, and according to the official storyline for mvc3, wolverine as well. No amount of respect or loyalty will overcome morrigan’s powers. Unless kaiba has a female monster. But even then, Kaiba would most likely use his stronger male monsters.
Trust me, Kaiba isn’t your average male. He is more interested in card games than in romance and Morrigan simply could not change that. Her abilities also wouldn’t work on someone like Kenshin or Kirito since they already have someone and would easily be able to resist her. Kaiba’s monsters fear Kaiba more than they could ever love Morrigan so it would be an easy contest for them. Morrigan’s charms would seriously have no sway in this match and she would be quickly defeated unless she changed tactics
I don’t think you understand how morrigan’s powers work. She is still able to control males who are already in love with someone else. And yes, Kaiba isn’t your average male. But that won’t matter because morrigan’s powers worked on pyron who is an alien made completely out of fire and only has one motive and that is to kill. Morrigan was able to control him because he was a male.
Trust me, I understand her powers, but I just don’t agree about their limits. Personally, any power like telepathy or emotional control will never really work against any of the big guns. A character like Kaiba has great strength of mind and nobody would be able to get in his head. Morrigan’s tricks simply wouldn’t be alluring to him. No mortal who is already committed should fall for her tricks, but she does get a lot of feats in her universe. Still, it just would not work. I believe that all males and females have enough strength of will to resist such attacks
Well, females are already immune to those powers. Morrigan’s powers are not like any other mind control. It makes males feel aroused, then morrigan seduces them. Kaiba nor his monsters are going to survive that. Just think of how awkward it would be if you’re fighting a girl to the death then all of a sudden she starts fondling you.
Right, but Kaiba doesn’t get aroused. As for the example…it would not be a problem. If she were to attempt such a thing, it would merely leave her wide open to a game changing attack. Kaiba would instantly seize the opportunity and she wouldn’t have a chance to fool him with her trickery. Trust me, it just wouldn’t last long enough to be awkward unless the character’s reactions weren’t quick enough
