Ichigo is always one step ahead of Zangetsu. Zangetsu may have taught him a few pointers along the way but he’ll never be on Ichigo’s level. Ichigo is too powerful for Zangetsu. Ichigo wins.
But Ichigo has his hollow forms. And even without a sword he could pwn. Also if your reading the manga live in Japan then you’ll know that he doesn’t even need Zangetsu anymore

I personally would beg to differ.
Zangetsu is Ichigo’s sword. Whithout a sword, Ichigo can’t do much
