Oblivion has powers that defy comprehension and he- Anyway Bass is the strongest being in all of media and wins this match in one blow. One Darkness Overload and Oblivion is dead instantly. Bass also has the Earthbreaker and the Hyper Earthbreaker. No wonder he’s the strongest being ever. Bass wins.
What is anime is Bass from? I’ve seen the header for this blog and makes me curious…
Megaman Nt Warrior, Megaman Axess, Megaman Stream, and the movie. He appears in the Battle Network Games and also in the manga. Basically he’s the strongest being in all of media, but to appreciate his full strength you need to read the manga. for his many feats you should check out Factpile. I put them all there. Til then here’s a cool AMV of him π
Damn, nice!! amv also looks awesome..
Also, every time im here, your view count just keep jumping higher and higher… lol How do you do it?
Yeah, it took a while. I guess having a lot of articles a day helps. Now I have over 7400 posts π Glad you like Bass, he’s my favorite character in all of media and completely invincible!
Loool WOOOT! thats a lot!! iv just passed 400! π
Thanks. I want to crack 10000 soon so I’ve got to hurry. Good job, soon you’ll be at 500 π
Hmm…I see…
I was hoping I’d find a cosmic entity battle.
Don’t worry a lot of people don’t know much about Oblivion. He’s a little more obscure. Luckily, I’m here to give you a brief crash course on Oblivion as well as cosmic physiology π
To begin, cosmic entities, similarly to the Valar are beings built as the foundation of reality. Each one effects the universe (or multiverse depending on who you ask) in a manner that makes their existence extremely vital to preserving life.
However, what’s interesting about cosmic entities and the Valar is that both are more than just entities that support that concept. In actuality, they ARE that concept.
At first it may seem confusing, but bare with it. Each cosmic entity is actually the sentient manifestation of a particular concept that governs all of reality.
Eternity represents all that exists within the temporal axis.
Infinity represents all space.
Death represents…well…death…
Master Order represents…order.
Master Chaos represents…*sigh*…chaos (obviously)
Though, it’s more than just representation of these concepts. For instance Eternity isn’t just a representation of time and reality. He IS time and reality. This basically means that their fates are entirely bound to the fundamental principle they embody.
In layman’s terms: these beings exist as long as the concepts they represent are in tact.
Now, this doesn’t mean they are completely invincible. While they are impervious to to attackers that are constrained by the concept they personify, they can harm each other if a particular entity embodies a superior concept.
They can also be bested of there is a being capable of transcending past these concepts. For example, a being with power beyond the concept of order and chaos would be able to best its masters. However, seen as how conflicts arise as a result of order and chaos, an entity with that power is rare to come by.
They can also be defeated if the concept they represent becomes nonexistent. For instance, if a being were to eliminate all death and make all lifeforms immortal, Death would cease to be.
As a result, the only Bass could defeat a cosmic entity is if he had the power to transcend the concept they represent or send that concept into nonexistence.
Speaking of nonexistence, this brings us to Oblivion.
Oblivion is essentially the being that surpasses all members within the cosmic hierarchy seen as how he represents the inevitable end of all life. Basically, he embodies the void beyond life, death, and creation where nothing exists. Shape, form, and space-time are percived only as illusions. There, the very concept of actuality is null and void from his view.
As a result, if Bass plans to kill Oblivion, he needs to have the power to kill nothingness.
Does this make sense? I tried to simplify the explanation provided by Marvel.
LOL, I hope I explained this properly xD
Yeah, Oblivion never shows up much. It is a handy ability to literally represent the concept of oblivion, but it won’t be enough. It’s like a classic anime moment where they say that they’ll win despite the odds. Bass just needs to land a solid haymaker and Oblivion will start rethinking his life choices. A 2nd blow and he’ll start to back away. He may represent the end, but Bass is the only thing that will be living in the end. He’ll have essentially gotten past Oblivion’s whole concept. Oblivion also has no way to actually injure Bass so it’ll be very frustrating for him the whole time.
Yeah, the explanation was good. Meta powers always sound fun at the very least even if I prefer physical personally.
How does one kill nonexistence?
You do realize even Bass can’t destroy a concept. It would be the same as him trying to kill gravity. It can’t be done by someone like him.
Besides, Bass, along with all the other members of the Megaman series all abide by these fundamental principles regardless of whether they work in their favor or not.
You just do it. You can’t dwell on the impossibility of the task nor can you let it intimidate you. You just gotta go in fists swinging and give it your all. Go for the gold and it’ll all work out. Bass will just pound the stuffing out of Oblivion until he loses the will to fight. There is no such thing as a full immortal or someone who cannot be destroyed. Anyone will die after enough punishment and Bass will prove it with this win. Oblivion can’t really do anything to defend himself so he’s doomed from the start. Not even being a concept will save Oblivion from his fate.
No, he can’t be him.
I think you’re misunderstanding what Oblivion as well as the other cosmic entities are. Oblivion isn’t really a person. He just has that appearance because its his M-Body.
Like I said before, killing Oblivion is like literally killing gravity. In order to kill Oblivion, you need to make it so that the concept he represents is nonexistent (how ironic).
In order to do that, Bass would need to…well…he’d need to create enough matter than can encompass the entire void of nothingness.
If he kills Oblivion, where will he go?
He has superiority over Death, and therefore the concept.
This isn’t a matter of the paragon emerging victoriously. It’s about creating a battle that uses less inconsistencies. Some foes can’t be beaten in brick and mortar physical tactics. Sometimes you just need to know when to quit.
And for the record, there ARE immortal beings in media. Death and the Valar are pure examples of that. Whether or not you are willing to accept this is on you.
Oblivion is still a person in the sense that he is an existence. He can conceptualize himself as much as he wants, but he is still just one soul in the end. We don’t have to call him a person, but he’s one individual. No matter how vague he is, Bass can punch him out. Put it this way, how can Oblivion even hope to injure Bass? There’s just no way so it’s not as if he can win. If he can’t win, then losing is his only option. Bass will simply exist even if Oblivion is no more.
Death and the Valar can still be destroyed though.
This is another really cool fight but in the end Bass takes another victory in this blog. Oblivion is without a doubt one of the strongest Marvel characters, but he’s no bass. Oblivion is completely immune to The Living Tribunal’s judgments, exists outside of The One Above All’s domain, a fraction of his power destroyed 98% of the entire Marvel Multiverse, and he directly stated to the audience that he could even destroy our world if he wanted to…In his dreams! Oblivion may have done impressive things but they are all completely statements, and no real evidence to back it up, I believe he is stronger than most Marvel Characters, sure, but he still lost in a fight with Infinity, which means he is not above Eternity. And saying that he can destroy the real world is clearly hype, cause I have not seen one panel saying that. Bass however is far superior to all of those guys! Eternity, Infinity, etc. A single Earthbreaker with minimum power should be enough to take down Oblivion pretty easily. Bass should win.
Agreed, Bass is as strong as they come. His Earthbreaker attack would definitely end this in an instant. I don’t think there are very many opponents who could really survive a hit from an attack like that. It’s just too overwhelmingly powerful.
