This is a tribute to the World’s End part of the Pirates of the Carribean series. Jack Sparrow may be a pirate captain, but he’s not nearly as noble or as powerful as Luffy. If they ever crossed paths it would be the end for Jack Sparrow. One punch would be enough to take him down. Luffy wins.

  1. If they crossed paths and became enemies that is. I reckon they’d actually get along surprisingly well. In an actual fight Jack’s no match though, I’d say that much.

    • I’m not sure. Jack’s the type of guy who would betray his crew without a second thought, something that Luffy’s really against. I guess as long as they don’t talk for that long before they part ways they may get along, but it would be tricky

      • It seems that way, a lot of his plans make it seem like he’s betraying his crew for his own benefit, but usually in the end he turns out to have been on the right side all along. If he truly was that ready to betray his allies, would he have surrendered an opportunity at immortality to save Will after Davy Jones stabbed him? Their reasons for being pirates are very similar, both are looking for freedom and adventure…

      • Sometimes I guess….though usually I think they just do it for comedy effect. Since it’s supposed to be shocking that he would betray his crew and all. I actually think he barely did it to save Will. I’d say it was mostly that after being in Davy Jones locker (and turning insane) he realized that being immortal wasn’t in his best interest and doomed Will to that fate instead. Well, Luffy’s a pirate so that he can become the King and have fun, Jack….I guess for the thrills. Personally I’ve found Jack Sparrow to be about as noble as James Bond or Captain Kirk

      • At the end of the film, he was looking for another means of immortality. He definitely still wanted to be immortal.

By no means is he noble, but he’s certainly a fun character. Certainly one to keep your eye on 🙂
