Toon Link is good with a sword and Fox definitely shouldn’t engage him in a close range fight. One hit from the Master Sword and I don’t think that Fox will be making it out alive. He has his reflector which will come in handy and he’ll need to rely on pure speed to stay one step ahead of Toon Link. Fox has his laser blaster which will definitely give him a nice edge and it could be the deciding factor. Fox wins.

Took link outclasses fox in every category besides speed. Fox’s reflector shield only works on projectiles and will begin to fail if it is used to much. Fox’s laser gun is extremely weak unless it is charged up but doing so leaves him open. Took link has ice arrows to freeze fox solid and remove the speed factor, or use fire arrows to burn him alive. Fox can use his fast moving fox illusion to confuse link, but it won’t work forever. Took link has taken blows from ganon, so the fire fox attack won’t do much if link uses his shield. Mind you that the attack also leaves fox open. Fox’s speed will only prolong the inevitable. He just can’t stand up to toon link.

His fire fox attack wouldn’t do much since toon link has taken several building and town destroying attacks before. From elemental attacks to ganon, toon link has tanked them before. So fox’s attack will do nothing especially if he uses his shield. Also, the attack must be charged and he must wait a bit before attacking again, meaning toon link will have several chances to attack. Toon link has ice arrows to freeze fox and remove the edge in speed, and fire arrows to burn fox alive. Not to mention he has the wind waker. Fox just can’t win this. I haven’t been on much over the weekend so I haven’t been around to approve the posts. I definitely disagree since I would also say that Fox is smarter in combat. His shield is really for projectiles, but it can still hurt the opponent when you are close to him so Toon Link’s slash may have a tough time getting through. Perhaps not since the Master Sword is tough, but it would give Fox a little protection. Fox’s laser gun may not be the next Kamehameha, but it is definitely sufficient to deal some damage to Toon Link. A glancing blow would still stun or injure Toon Link and Fox fires them off very rapidly. We also can’t forget that Fox has his Arwing and Landmaster at the ready. Both provide him with some cover from Toon Link’s arrows and they also dramatically increase his fire power. The Wind Waker is good and it can disrupt Fox’s flight in the Arwing, but it won’t be able to do much more than that while they are fighting. Toon Link is tough, but Fox’s speed gives him a nice advantage in hand to hand. He can yank the sword away and then end the match with a big slash

The master sword is like mjolnir. It can only be held by the hero of time. The sword will reject anyone else. And fox’s laser gun doesn’t do anything. In super smash bros brawl, you can keep shooting your opponent with fox’s gun until their health percent reaches 999% and it still won’t knock them out of the stage.
Are you sure about that? I thought Ganon grabbed it or something, but I may be totally on the wrong track. In that case, Fox wouldn’t grab it, but he could still knock it away. As for the laser gun, that’s just gameplay mechanics. Like how Mario’s Fireball doesn’t burn the opponents or how Link’s sword doesn’t impale everyone
Ok, to be fair, fox’s laser gun in other games is as strong as a blaster from star wars, and is also very fast. But it can easily be blocked by the hylian shield. Link also has z targeting to quickly target fast enemies, and a hookshot he can use to retrieve his sword if it is knocked out of his hand. And I just realized something. All characters get whatever they have used in the past, no matter which version. So that would mean toon link also gets his masks, loftwings, medallions, epona, and his fierce diety form. He also has this clock that can stop time. So yeah. Fox has nothing on link.
The problem is that the shield doesn’t totally cover Toon Link. Fox can rapid fire a few dozen shots and there’s no way that Toon Link could block them all. Dodging is his only option and a long range fight won’t work in his favor. Usually that would be true for Toon Link, but since Link is already on the blog, Toon Link is limited to his Toon games. No Epona or Fierce Deity among others. This definitely isn’t good for Toon Link and he won’t be able to get past Fox’s blasters
