Goku is one of the strongest anime fighters of all time and he can hold his own against any fighter. Sephiroth is a master swordsman and he’s also known to be very resilient, but he won’t be able to hold out against this Saiyan Warrior. Goku can destroy an entire solar system in the blink of an eye and his speed surpasses that of Sephiroth’s. Sephiroth really won’t be able to damage Goku thanks to the Saiyan’s speed. Goku wins.

This isnt even a fight tho. Why do people think Sephiroth is stronger? Goku is one of the strongest beings in all of fiction and can solo most fictional universes easily, including final fantasy! Sephiroth doesn’t stand a chance against Goku. He would simply be outmatched as Goku’s speed, durability, and strength, not to mention Stamina would be to much for Sephiroth to handle. Goku stomps.
The best thing Sephiroth can rely on to defeat Goku is his supernova attack, but even then Goku has survived much more powerful blasts from people much stronger than Sephiroth. Goku’s durability could easily withstand such a powerful blow.
Yeah, Sephiroth really doesn’t stand a chance. Goku surpassed him a very long time ago. Even if you take Sephiroth’s solar system attack as literal, Cell was said to blow up solar systems and Goku’s gone far beyond that level. I don’t see any real options for Sephiroth here
Sephiroth is strong enough to destroy the entire universe while goku can only destroy the solar system. Goku may have a chance but sephiroth has more moves and can destroy more than goku
