I appreciate the fact that Death is a powerful foe, but he is outmatched here. He has power over life and death, but destroying Bass will require more than a gesture. Death’s powers seem to be linked to his ring and seeing as how Bass can move a lot faster than Death can teleport…that’s game over. Bass takes away the ring and lands a really satisfying punch in. Alternately, he can just punch Death so hard and so fast that Death can’t regain his composure and launch a counter offensive. Death definitely sounds like a tough fighter to go up against, but Bass can handle him. This is Bass after all! Bass wins.

  1. Are you serious? He’s called DEATH for a damn reason idiot. He represents the concept of death. Everytime a person dies from murder, old age or accidents, he’s there. He is DEATH. You can’t get rid of a concept and part of reality, fool. Bass can’t stop anyone from dying so death can’t be destroyed. I cannot believe you are that thick.

    • In DReagerland, Bass is a fundamental concept of the universe more potent than time, space, life and death. I’ve long ago given up trying to reason that one guy saying you’re faster than light is not, perhaps, the most impressive feat of all time and just accepted that there’s no reasoning with this guy as far as Bass is concerned

      • Exactly. Bass is a force of nature and he’s invincible in every meaning of the word. He practically transcends fiction and he now has over 700 wins on the site. Stopping him is basically impossible at this point.

    • Yeah, but according to the wiki, not only can he be imprisoned and badly defeated, but he may even be able to die. You can definitely eliminate concepts. Remember when people used to say “groovy” in the 80’s? The concept of using that as a response has been destroyed. Trust me, Bass just needs to punch Death pretty hard and that would be the end of the match. Death is thoroughly outclassed here.

      • The only person who could potentially defeat him is God himself. Oh really? Punch Death? Bass cannot destroy death. I can destroy Bass if I persuade the creators of Megaman to make Bass non-canon or erase him from the series totally BUT Death can still take a sh*t on me even if I persuade the supernatural creators to remove him from the series because I can still die from being run over, poisoning, shot or old age. You cannot DESTROY death. He/it is a part of our life cycle.

      • Sure, Bass punches everything and everyone. Like I said earlier, concepts don’t scare such an intimidating presence. Bass has always had the edge in his fights and his abilities are constantly improving. Even if you tell the creators to make Bass non canon it wouldn’t work…he’s already non canon! In real life, death is definitely something that will stick around until Earth’s time is up, but in fiction it can always be beaten by the power of friendship and a good right hook.

      • The death in Supernatural is based on death in real life. You can’t cheat death unless you’re god. End of story.

      • That is true in real life, but fiction has many more limits, which is why you can cheat death. Just look at Deadpool or Superman. Everyone’s died at some point or another in the comics.

      • Thats because the Death in marvel is comparatively weaker than Death in SN. Also do you think the Death from SN would fall for Deadpool like Lady Death in Marvel? Lolnope. The death we have in SN is a cold, emotionless entity who portrays death as it is. He’s thin and ancient like death. The death in Marvel has those rotund breasts, a curvy figure and falls for some batsh*t, crazy, satirical mercenary who constantly breaks the fourth wall. Yeah, that is totally how Death should act like (sarcasm)…And you wonder why Beyonder erased Death from existence in Marvel.

      • It’s true that Death wouldn’t get attached to Deadpool if it was the Supernatural version, but we can’t forget the fact that he still couldn’t destroy Deadpool. I still don’t see him stopping the regenerative monster. I’ve never liked any portrayal of Death so far, but I haven’t seen Supernatural so I suppose that I can’t really comment on who’s more likable. Still, I will acknowledge that the Death in Supernatural is tough beans when it comes to matters of death.

      • Problem is when people die in Marvel, death has her own dimension which she can bar people from, making them immortal. When people die in SN, death takes them and god judges their souls.

      • True enough, but that still sounds pretty similar to Marvel. If the Death in SN ever decided to ban someone from hell, he could probably do so. He just never wanted to do such a thing since that wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense.

      • Wrong. God decides where they go and if death tried to intervene God would probably punt him. You don’t defy God out of all the beings because the God in supernatural is the Christian God.

      • The Supernatural “God” can try to match up to the real one, but he’ll always fall short and that’s where things get a little dicey. That’s why the Death in Supernatural seems so tough when Bass would still beat him with a classic Earthbreaker.

      • Nopey, nope, nope. Supernatural God is essentially the Christian God in their verse likewise with the God in real life. Earthbreaker won’t do a thing to Death who is wondering why a midget cyborg is trying to attack him before lifewiping Bass.

      • I’ve gotta disagree there man. Fiction can never equal real life so even if the author was trying for that effect, it just doesn’t work. So, everyone is a little weaker in fiction and that’s why the Earthbreaker will work. It’s simply unstoppable and nobody can even try to survive getting hit by such a powerful technique!
