Samus is one of the stronger Nintendo leads and she can fight well from short or long range. That being said, it’s not enough to take Ryu down for the count. Ryu isn’t used to fighting weapons with advanced technology, but that will only give Samus a slight edge. Ryu still has the superior speed and fighting ability at his disposal and his discipline in the martial arts will help him keep calm. Ryu’s Hadouken will be able to get past all of the weaponry Samus has. Ryu wins.

What the heck? Samus has chozo DNA and faced deadly monsters like Ridley, Kraid and Mother Brain! Ryu has no chance.
Keep in mind that I’m counting composite so that Asura’s Wrath depiction is here. Otherwise, I’m inclined to agree that it would be an intense fight. Samus may be able to outspeed Ryu otherwise, but once it became a close quarters match, I could see it swinging either way.
Allright, that means Ryu now needs to face Nova.
I’ll get right on that, the fight will be up in a few minutes, but be warned that this may show just how powerful I consider Ryu to be.

Samus is certainly the strongest of the big three Nintendo heroes imo (Mario and Link are still tough though) and without the non canon Asura’s Wrath, she certainly could pull out a win here
