Onimi vs Yoda

Suggested by iKnowledge Onimi’s a pretty interesting character. He’s a shapeshifter who gets a lot of hype but the guy also died so fast that there aren’t many images of him online. He wouldn’t be able to fare very well against Yoda. Yoda is a Jedi Master so you can forget about any mind games working on him. That’s just not going to work. Yoda’s also exceptional with a lightsaber so he’ll be able to get in close and end this match with a quick swing of his sword. Yoda wins.

  1. I’m among the last people to doubt Yoda’s skills, but there is the factor that Onimi was ultimately defeated by means of Jacen’s Oneness with the force turning his poisons against him. Yoda was old by the time of the Old Republic’s fall. Going that far could kill Yoda. And that would leave the Grand Master spot open, even if an earlier Yuuzhan Vong war helps Plagueis and Sidious’s scheme along by reducing the Jedi in numbers (by death or defection), minus how many perish in Order 66. And given how many Prequel-era Jedi were trained by Yoda who could keep up with movie Jedi (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Darsha_Assant, https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Tahl, https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Siri_Tachi, https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Anoon_Bondara), just to name a few, that could make the competition cutthroat.

    • Yeah Yoda may have a tricky time there but his sword play is just so exceptional and even in his old age his speed was enough to keep up with the stronger Sith Lords. It would be tough for Onimi to keep up in close quarters so I think his best bet would ultimately be sticking to mid range combat which could be effective but it’s also hard to see Yoda faltering when it comes to a battle of the minds
