Suggested by iKnowledge It’s time for the mythical Cthulhu to take center stage. He gets a lot of hype in the mythos, but I’ve never been too impressed with the monster. I like the design and all, but is he really a match against someone like Luffy? Luffy has unlocked the second Gear and with that he can easily speed blitz just about any foe. I don’t think Cthulhu will be able to keep up with him nor will be able to endure Luffy’s punishing attacks. Luffy wins.
Nice work on all the battles! As regards this one, I think that Cthulhu still has a chance of winning. Admittedly, they’re about different people than Luffy, but the gist applies.
Definitely some interesting arguments for Cthulhu. They seem to think that he is completely impervious to physical attacks and all, but I can’t say that I’ve found him to be too impressive.
I still think Cthulhu has a chance. He can regenerate wounds, and can drive people insane simply by his presence and by the fact that in his universe, he makes people insane simply by the fact that he makes us look insignificant. And he’s not the most powerful of Lovecraft’s Elder Gods.
However, I propose a compromise: Luffy beats him physically, but is mentally broken by it, as is his crew.
True, but nobody messes with Luffy’s mind. He would probably barely even register the fact that Cthulhu is around. His teammates may be another story, but Luffy has too much fortitude to be shaken by just about anything. His recent Gear 4 also tips the scale in his favor.

He’s certainly one of the stronger aquatic creatures around
I also have an idea for another battle: Elric of Melnibone (http://www.stormbringer.net/elric.html) vs. Ash Ketchum (Pokemon).
