Suggested by Big Red Thanos and Thor are some of the stronger comic book characters out there. Both of them possess powerful combat options in both short and long range. Thanos has many energy blasts thanks to the Infinity Gems while Thor’s got Odin Force and Mjolnir. It’s a fight that could certainly go either way. In base form Thanos typically has a significant advantage over Thor but at peak it’s hard to say how the fight would go. I’d have to give Thanos the slight edge here as having the Infinity Stones helps a lot with regeneration as well as its array of energy blasts. Thor would keep the fight close, but I think his durability would fall off first. Thanos wins.

This would be a classic battle. Thanos won the first battle at the beginning of Infinity War (although I think his energy may have been totally spent in his final battle with Hela). Thor bested Thanos at the end of Infinity War even though Thanos had the full complement of the stones. This has caused me to think that Thor should have won the first battle considering he only had one stone I believe. Something happened that rendered him in a weak state. He, Hulk, Loki, Heimdall and the others should have made for quite a match against Thanos and the Black Order. Who do you reckon would win in a battle between groups? I understand if you do not do group battles.
Yes in the films Thanos got nerfed to a huge extent in Endgame. It went from not really taking any damage when going up against Thor and Hulk in Infinity War to fighters like Captain America being able to overwhelm him 1 on 1 in Endgame, albeit with Mjolnir. I think in a group battle the Black Order would have the edge. Mainly because I see Thanos being able to hold off Hulk and Thor for a while while his Black Order should crush Loki and the others pretty quick.
I do think it depends on the version of Thanos. Infinity War Thanos should be able to take this with the group. If it’s Endgame Thanos then I think the fight’s a lot closer although Thor was exhausted after Ragnarok so if he was at full power then the group should be able to win
