Ichigo Momomiya vs Sailor Moon

Suggested by Princess Ichigo Bradley Ichigo Momomiya and Sailor Moon are both some of the most iconic magical girls in all of fiction. Sailor Moon’s attack power is far greater than Ichigo’s, but where she loses here is the difference in speed. Ichigo should be able to stay out of Moon’s range with ease. Think of any superhero dodging a villain with a gun. Sailor Moon can amp up her lasers to cover a wider and wider distance but ultimately she does need to point and Ichigo will get behind her. Moon’s travel speed won’t be enough to overcome this fighter and her lack of durability feats will be her undoing. Ichigo Momomiya wins.

  1. I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but I noticed that atleast in the original animes, Ichigo Momomiya was stronger against her first monster than Sailor Moon was

Ichigo didn’t need any help against it. Sailor Moon on the other hand ended up sitting in the corner and cried a lot and then got saved by Tuxedo Mask before crying some more. It was only because Luna told her to use her tiara that she defeated the monster

    • Would you agree with me? Do you think I made a good point?

I forgot to post my comment as Princess Ichigo Bradley. It ended up as anonymous by mistake

      • Also, I know its probably been a while since you’ve seen both, but is it okay if I find Tokyo Mew Mew more of an action series in general than 90s Sailor Moon anime?

I noticed atleast with the early episodes of Sailor Moon (I’ve only seen the first 14 or so), it’s usually just magical attacks with the girls usually standing there and usually it’s just a minute or two of battle. Even in a plot important episode I just watched involving Jadeite didn’t really have much action it felt.

With Tokyo Mew Mew (I’ve seen the entirety of this one), even just the first handful of episodes has the Mew Mews having weapons, they move around and are agile, more time is dedicated to either the mission or battle, there’s more moments of the girls punching and kicking, there’s more going on in the action scenes, and with the cafe being a cover essentially for their mission, it lends itself more to action. The Mew Mews also feel more superpowered with how Ichigo has cat instincts and such

Sailor Moon on the other hand feels like it dedicates more time to slice of life. Mew Mew has slice of life too, but it has more action, like the Masha episode felt focused on the action

I also apologize for the time I said I find Sailor Moon more girly than Mew Mew, because that was probably rude of me to say that and I realized both of them are girly, as they’re aimed at girls
