This is a topic that has been raging through America and Japan for over a decade. Many die hard fans will do anything to prove who they think would win. I think this argument is a bit lopsided though and shouldn’t be that much of a rage….because after all Sonic would easily beat Mario

I vote for Sonic. Sonic is super fast. Mario is slow and his attack won’t hurt Sonic.

Finals have been limiting my time here, but starting on Sunday, I should be responding a lot quicker as I’ll be online more! I personally prefer Sonic, but they’re both definitely likable.
My vote is for Mario because he is my all time favorite video game character of all time, from my childhood to today. I’ve been growing up being a Super Mario and Nintendo fan. Nintendo is my favorite video game company of all time, Nintendo is a video game company that I just can’t resist the most. I love Mario and Nintendo better than Sonic and Sega. That is my opinion
I do prefer Nintendo to Sega, but I like Sonic more than I like Mario so it’s an interesting give and take there. Both are certainly fun fighters though!

Sonic takes this win easily. I’m a big fan of Mario, But even i know when he’s out matched, out gunned, out sped. Just my opinion.
Agreed, Mario’s a little out of his depth this time.
I used to prefer Mario over Sonic, but after a while, for some reason, I’m gaining more and more interest for Sonic.
Sonic is a pretty cool series
I think the main reason I gained more interest in Sonic is because of the fandom and the series as a whole. I love their sense of creativity and originality. I personally feel bad for the fandom, I do like their content and stuff. I do admit though, I do feel some people in the fandom make disturbing and cringe worthy stuff. I loved the games and some of the shows. My favorite game by far is Sonic Rush. Out of all the games I want to play the most, it is Sonic Adventure 2. My favorite Sonic show is personally Sonic X(that show actually introduced me to the franchise). I’ve only watched the 4Kids version, I’m dieing to watch the Japanese version.
Oh yeah, the fans are very dedicated and the Sonic franchise should be glad to have them. The series wouldn’t be quite the same without its dedicated following. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is my personal favorite, but I do basically like all of the games. The 4Kids version is much better than the original imo, but both are definitely solid. I hope you enjoy the Japanese version when you watch it.
Oh, and I also really loved the comic series, they’re awesome.
