Superman vs Luffy

Luffy_vs_Superman_by_Chairgoh (1)
This is a tribute to Superman Unbound. Superman is pretty powerful, but he doesn’t have the raw power needed to take on a rubber man like Luffy. Luffy has his Gear 2 and his speed is also pretty intense. This is one match that I don’t think he can win. Superman falls down the ranks with this loss, but he’ll be back. Luffy wins.

  1. Superman is easily faster and stronger than luffy. Superman also has the advantage in long range because of his heat vision. Luffy may be able to tank supermans punches and possibly hurt superman, He won’t be able to survive giant lasers hotter than the sun, or superman just flying into space where luffy can’t get to or survive.

    • I don’t agree on the speed angle. Superman’s maybe around Luffy level in power, but I don’t think that he could keep up with him. Luffy’s Haki helps to even the long range playing field and I’m sure that his attacks would quickly knock the wind out of Superman. Superman could fly to space, but he can’t stay there forever. If you’re saying that Luffy would die first, eh…I don’t think it would come to that. Moreover, Luffy could just stretch out and grab Superman before he tried anything like that thanks to the speed advantage

  2. Speed advantage? Luffy is, at most, massively hypersonic to relativistic speed. But superman is FTL. He can easily speed blitz luffy.

    • I’d say that Luffy is definitely FTL at this point and his big fight against Lucci basically proved that fact. Superman’s fast, but he has a harder time changing directions once he’s moving quickly and Luffy can take advantage of that

  3. His fight with lucci proved nothing. Both luffy and lucci are massively hypersonic, but nowhere near light speed. Superman can easily shatter planets with a single punch and can travel from earth to the sun in seconds. Luffy is nowhere near that level of raw speed and strength. And if luffy were to try and grab superman, he can just vaporize his hands with his heat vision which is hotter than the sun.

    • I would argue that both combatants are lightspeed. Superman can definitely accomplish those feats, but he wouldn’t have time to try and blast Luffy. Luffy is just too quick and he would have already thrown Superman back into the ground. Luffy’s speed and durability are insane and his strength is at a high enough level to injure Superman very quickly. I dunno, Luffy seems to have this round

  4. If you can argue that luffy is both light speed and has greater durability than superman, then where is your evidence?

    • Evidence….that’s definitely the tough part. I suppose that I could grab some of Luffy’s feats from CP9, but it’s tricky. How to prove that he’s more durable than Superman. Well, the lightspeed part should be easy. His fight against Kuma also showed this and Kizaru. I should have the feats up shortly

  5. Putting aside that you are clearly a weeaboo, you are an awful debater.
This character wins because he is clearly stronger because I said so. I doubt that you understand the concept of lightspeed and the fact that while you are moving that fast you can’t be observed by a naked eye. For someone who brags of finding ”feats within feats” you show no evidence of any of them.
Where is it mentioned that he moves in lightspeed? Don’t show me a panel where he moves fast, show me the exact measurement. Superman is faster than the speed of light, he has been measured in the comics and that has been stated multiple times. It is one of his greatest feats. So far, you provide no feats except assumptions that are, in debate, worth jack.
Regarding durability, here are Superman’s feats: he took a point blak supernova to the face and remained in one piece(pun intended), for someone who talked about Superman being ”beaten by the Elite” it is funny that you forgot to mention the power of the blast he took on the moon and remained completely unscratched, he took the full force of two planets colliding on top of him and remained unscratched, he held a black hole in his hand and he takes omega beams that erase you completely without them having any effect on him. And how is this? Because not only is Superman absurdly powerful, but the is near impervious to harm. There are only two things that can harm him: magic and kryptonite, and before you spew nonsense again, devil fruit IS NOT MAGIC.
Now, unless you claim that each Luffy’s punch is stronger that a supernova, note that a single punch that powerful would obliterate the planet, EVEN IF you don’t strike the ground. It is basic physics, though I am starting to doubt that you have even passed elementary school. Beside, then one shot characters would have to be tougher than the multitude of planets to endure such hits.
Superman does not have the raw power? Superman is one of the most powerful characters in all fiction. There are only a handful more powerful characters than him, but those are different kind of powerful. He can move planets around, he can punch a planet in half, phase through all attacks, warp reality with his static electricity and even obliterate a planet with his heath vision. All of these are from the panels in the comics and all of them are canon. NOT TO MENTION THAT IT IS MEASURED COMIC FACT that Superman can lift three Earths without breaking a sweat.New 52 Superman has the ”Super flare” which unleashes a supernova blast from his eyes. When measuring power, if our sun would go into supernova, all planets to Jupiter would be completely destroyed, but no, Luffy can obviously take that.
You fail as a debater. Do your research next time.
And ”I disagreee because I think…I don’t thing that he can…I am quite sure” aka your opinions on how powerful some characters are are worth JACK unless you can provide direct evidence, something that I have porivded for you here and will gladly insert he comic panels and even more feats. All of you vs Superman matchups failed so much that it is laughable, but for a weeaboo, it is understandable that you must give anime an upper hand, even if it means inventing feats on the spot.

    • Please understand! Debates are not won through insults, but through feats. Luffy can win this thanks to his Devil Fruit. One punch from his rubber fist and it’s game set and match for Superman.

That video nullifies all of your Superman arguments. I always look at fights objectively and that’s why Luffy wins this round. Massively FTL and all that jazz….

      • Holy stuff you really are cheap…yes, this video does prove a lot in a fight where Superman’s opponent does not have kryptonite. Very objective.

      • Notice that Batman flipped him without even needing the Kryptonite. I think Superman’s “speed feats” have just been exposed.

      • Your ignorance knowns now bounds, weeaboo boy.

If you are going to pull non canon sources, then, I’ll give you actual comic book sources.

THOUSAND TIMES FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT!

      • Strong enough to move several planets

Can cut a planet in half with heath vision and can go through Earth 5000 times in a second.

      • Superman is definitely the strongest comic book character of all time. Those feats should not be underestimated or downplayed. He is the ultimate hero!

      • He does not even have to get into a melee fight. Flies to space and destroys the planet in an instant.

      • I don’t even need to argue anymore xD Wasted my time here.

Sorry, but after googling, I see that you are well known as Lord Ignorant on several pages and forums. Guess my assumptions were right. 🙂

        Say hi to your waifu,

        goodbye

      • really? you use the animated series and not the comics?,sorry but this animated series are not canon and is complety irrelevant

      • The animated series isn’t canon but it is relevant since it is Superman’s most powerful portrayal out of all his incarnations. The rest just can’t hold a candle to it

      • grab superman in gear 4?hahahahaha good joke man,he defeats darkseid I do not see why that with luffy would be different

      • Luffy is a lot faster and more brutal than Darkseid though. We’ve seen Darkseid take damage from Batman and Luffy is in a whole different league

      • I’m a huge DC fan so I’ve read a ton of the comics. That’s why I know that Superman isn’t as tough as he would have us believe. Darkseid is tough for sure though so I wouldn’t argue against that

      • You really do not know much about superman, the comic book superman is his most powerful (and canon) cartoons are not relevant for the simple fact that they are not canon, so they do not deserve to be considered

      • Superman’s my favorite comic book character. I’m a Huge expert on him and can say with confidence that he is at his best in the TV shows.

      • Luffy is definitely planet level at this point. He has the Aura and everything. Aura amps up all attacks so I think we can reasonably say that if he pointed a punch at the Earth then he would tear it apart. Also as I mentioned Luffy’s combat speed is superior here. Just look at an amv of him fighting Lucci and compare it to Batman fighting Superman. Then you’ve got your answer

      • no,in the comic books is where this is at its best,in the comics he did things like lifting the infinite book

and lift specter whose body is composed of dimensions

and you’re not even a “huge expert” of superman, if it were you would not be comparing luffy with him

      • As I said, he has a lot of crazy feats in the comics which is great, but when it comes time to fight he never really manages to pull them off. It’s a different story in the shows as you get to see Superman really cut loose

      • superman never uses his full potential because he knows full well the consequences of releasing his strength.

“It’s a different story in the shows as you get to see Superman really cut loose”

yes, because the superman in the tv programs are different from him in the comics

      • That’s true and it is very heroic of him. Still, the animated Superman just seems superior even when he is still holding back. I think that speaks volumes of the character’s strength. Wouldn’t you agree?

      • solving your question, no, I watched the superman cartoons and read the comics, and I can say that the cartoon superman is completely nerfed and has no feat of strength, speed, durability as the comics superman

      • Comics version may have feats, but he doesn’t look as good in combat and that is just as important. With animated Superman you knew that he was willing to throw down

      • is not good in combat? he fought darkseid, orion, infinite man, scott free, anti-monitor, how exactly is he not good at combat?

      • It’s not so much that Superman is terrible at combat, but that he doesn’t really know how to play the match ups. I couldn’t even begin to list all of the times he has rushed towards someone who was holding Kryptonite. Bad mistake on his part

      • “It’s not so much that Superman is terrible at combat, but that he does not really know how to play the match ups.” I could not even begin to list all of the times he has rushed towards someone who was holding Kryptonite. mistake on his part ”

anti monitor is multiversal and to face characters of this level would require a lot of experience in combat, and again using cartoons, again the cartoons are not canonical and just because they are official do not mean they are canonical and valid to use in canonical

      • No, experience in combat isn’t needed when you’re super strong and I think that has been Superman’s excuse up to this point. He figures that he can beat anyone without these skills so that is why he has never learned them

      • All right, those arte some pretty nifty skills there. I won’t say that they are as good as Luffy’s, but Superman is indeed a skilled hand to hand fighter

      • “All right, those art some pretty nifty skills there. I will not say that they are as good as Luffy’s, but Superman is indeed a skilled hand to hand fighter”

in fact he is much better.

      • Superman does have a lot of experience, but I think the years took their toll. Simply put, Superman lived a little too long and his fighting skills have started to get rusty in the process. You can’t be at your best all the time and Superman’s days of living in peace dulled his fighting sense

      • You did not show any evidence that he is planet + level. The only thing you know how to do is blabber and show no proof for your arguments, and stop using the dark knight returns, that comic book is not even canonical.

      • The problem is that there isn’t much actual evidence since Luffy has never felt the need to destroy the world. I don’t know where to begin on proving that since it’s just something that you learn as you go through the show. As for Batman vs Superman, I was referring to the World’s Finest TV special.

      • “The problem is that there is not much actual evidence since Luffy has never felt the need to destroy the world.”

translating: there is no evidence to prove that it is planet + level: p

      • so show me these loops, it seems like you’re making up an excuse because there seems to be no evidence that luffy is a planetary level, his most impressive feat of force occurred in his fight against the Donflamingo and that feat is at the most island level

      • It’s because just punching the ground will destroy the planet if you’re strong enough. Just imagine how Frieza did it in Resurrection F and apply that to Luffy. Of course he wouldn’t destroy the planet like that, but he still could which is just as important.

      • “Just punch the ground will destroy the planet if you’re strong enough.” Just imagine how Frieza did it in Resurrection F and apply it to Luffy. Of course I would not destroy the planet like that, but it’s still ”

but frieza did not destroy the planet the planet with brute force, it destroyed the earth because it made the planet’s nucleus collapse,

        and this argument
“It’s just punching the ground will destroy the planet if you’re strong enough”

is not valid for luffy since he has never demonstrated that he is strong enough to destroy the planet with his strength

      • Frieza did destroy it with brute strength. He collapsed the planet with a quick burst of energy and that was after he was super weakened. Imagine if he had been at full power, the universe likely would have gone with it. Luffy has traded blows with Toriko and Goku before so I definitely think he can hold his own.

Luffy’s strength is considerable since he was able to punch guys like Dogtooth and Sanji in the past. I think it’s reasonable to say that he would come out on top here

      • You yourself have just contradicted yourself “Frieza did destroy it with brute strength. He collapsed the planet with a quick burst of energy and that was after he was super weakened.”

he collapsed the planet with ENERGY, and energy is not physical force, “Imagine if he had been to full power, the universe would likely have gone it.”

the universe would have gone along with it? I want to see you show me the evidence that it really is like that, instead of making up dubious assumptions, and he died for a planetary explosion, and that would not effect an universe + level being

“Luffy has traded blows with Toriko and Goku before so I definitely think he can hold his own.”

and so, that does not make him any better than superman, he traded punches with infinity man, darkseid, orion, joker emperor and others, and just because he was able to swap punches with them, this does not make him planet + level

“Luffy’s strength is considerable since he was able to punch guys like Dogtooth and Sanji in the past.I think it’s reasonable to say he would come out on top here”

and the superman was able to hurt the darkseid soulfire who is a nigh-omnipotent being and the same equated with the presence, was able to face infinity man who is powered by the presence power, faced the anti monitor being that it would practically go consuming the multiverse.

“I think it’s reasonable to say that I would come out on top here”

I would quit over who? of superman? Excuse me but the facts speak for themselves.

        superman>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>luffy

      • The evidence of the Universe going along with it can be traced back to the Cell saga where Cell was said to blow up a Solar System. That was eons ago as far as power levels are concerned so of course that would make modern Frieza Universe Level at the lowest, most likely reality level.

Goku is stronger than any comic book character so trading blows with him is absolutely insane. Now it may have just been plot hax but we still have to keep that in mind.

Superman>>>>All Comic Book characters, but Superman<<Sanji<<Zoro<<Luffy

      • “The evidence that the universe is along with it can be traced back to the Cell saga, where Cell was told to blow up a solar system. That was ages ago when it came to power levels, so of course that would do with which the modern Freeza Universe Level was at the lowest and most probable level of reality. ”

I do not know where you got the fact that the cell being solar system level proves that the golden frieza is universe level, it died for a planetary explosion and that would not have effect on a being level

“Goku is stronger than any comic book character so trading blows with him is absolutely insane. Now it may have been plotted hax but we still have to keep that in mind.”

Can you show me the goku’s feats to prove he’s stronger than any comic book character? And why are you quoting other characters when we’re talking about superman vs luffy? no superman vs frieza or superman vs goku? running out of arguments to defend the luffy who has to resort to other characters?

         “Superman << Sanji << Zoro << Luffy"

it's a shame they can not prove it, they only know how to use non-canonical fonts like the cartoons, assumptions and did not show anything done to prove they are stronger than superman

      • “I do not know where you got the fact that the cell being solar system level proves that the golden frieza is universe level, it died for a planetary explosion and that would not have effect on a being level”

One definitely proves the other though. It just makes sense when you look at the power levels.

“Can you show me the goku’s feats to prove he’s stronger than any comic book character? And why are you quoting other characters when we’re talking about superman vs luffy? no superman vs frieza or superman vs goku? running out of arguments to defend the luffy who has to resort to other characters?”

I forgot why I brought him up, but it was for a good reason. I was pointing out that Luffy has fought someone who could laugh and Superman would be blown away by the shockwaves. I could bring up quite a lot of Goku feats by the way in case you’re interested.

“it’s a shame they can not prove it, they only know how to use non-canonical fonts like the cartoons, assumptions and did not show anything done to prove they are stronger than superman”

        I have prove it though

      • “One definitely proves the other though. It just makes sense when you look at the power levels.”

exploits, not levels of power will prove that it is universe, just show me, that it is something that you have not done so far.

“I forgot why I brought him up, but it was a good reason I was pointing out that Luffy has fought someone who could laugh and Superman would be blown away by the shockwaves. the way in case you’re interested. ”

superman has demonstrated feats of strength, speed, durability far better than those of goku and luffy, I’m not saying that they are weak, I know what they are capable of, but superman has proven to have better deeds than them, if You want to show, show but it will not change anything.

        “I have proven it though”

        so do it

      • “superman has demonstrated feats of strength, speed, durability far better than those of goku and luffy, I’m not saying that they are weak, I know what they are capable of, but superman has proven to have better deeds than them, if You want to show, show but it will not change anything.”

Goku is way stronger than Superman. He was a solar system buster back in the Cell arc. Since then he has gotten many times stronger over the years to the point where it’s impossible to determine his power level. He is so strong that he could likely eradicate everything with a single blast. He is millions of times stronger than he was back when he could blow up a solar system so that’s why it is not a stretch to say that he is the strongest. It’s fortunate that this debate is mainly about Luffy I suppose.

        “so do it”

I shall have the scans up ASAP

      • “Goku is much stronger than Superman. He was a solar system buster in the Cell arch.He has since been many times stronger over the years, to the point of being unable to determine his level of power. He is so strong which could eradicate everything with a single explosion. It is millions of times stronger than when it was able to blow up a solar system, so that’s why it’s not hard to say that it’s the strongest. about Luffy, I suppose. ”

the only thing I have to say about it is, so what, superman moved planets and a solar system, destroyed reality several times, moved at speeds faster than that of light, is able to overcome the force of holes black with the vision of heat, already welded the cosmos with his vision of heat, wounded powerful beings with soulfire darkseid, fought a thousand years alongside wonder woman and thor, and can travel in time with its speed (which is practically impossible to measure such velocity)

“He is millions of times stronger than he was when he could blow up a solar system”

Where exactly did it blow up a solar system? Can you show me?

      • “Where exactly did it blow up a solar system? Can you show me?”

No prob, I have the scene bookmarked at this point since it gets brought up quite a lot in DBZ debates.

      • “No prob, I have the scene bookmarked at this point since it gets brought up quite a lot in DBZ debates.”

I think you did not understand my question, I asked where he had blown up a solar system.

      • and now I propose to you a challenge, make a list of the greatest feats of luffy, and subdivides into the following categories: strength, speed, durability

and so we’ll see who is stronger between luffy and superman.

      • Hmm, my One Piece knowledge is rather lacking, but I shall do my best.

Strength: Luffy broke a whole building with a single Gum Gum Punch back in Arlong Park before any of his power ups. If we throw in the other 3 Gears and the 3 Year timeskip plus Haki, then we can assume that Luffy’s punch would have decimated the planet.

Speed: Luffy was keeping up with Dogtooth and Lucci. We saw him essentially teleporting during the fight so he is certainly FTL. The DBZ teleport sound is usually proof of that. Factor in that he keeps getting stronger and faster and his limits are unknown.

Durability: Luffy was fighting for hours and maybe even longer during some of the latest arcs. Luffy’s endured dozens of attacks even when he was incredibly weakened. If that isn’t impressive then I don’t know what is!

      • Strength: Luffy broke an entire building with a single Gum Gum Punch at Arlong Park before any of his power-ups. If we play the other 3 Gears and the 3 year timeskip plus Haki, then we can assume that Luffy’s punch would have wiped out the planet.

Flies lightyears and saves an alien

Flies from Vega to Earth in a short amount of time

Goes to Andromeda to help people and does not take 1000’s of years

Moves so fast even Lightray would be left behind

Lightray can circle Apokolips thousands of times in a short amount of time. Apokolips is so large Earth barely displaces to lake on it.

        Breaches Darkseids singularity

and the flash needed to go faster than the light to enter

        Keeps up with Wally West

        Circumnavigates the sun

Superman travels from Apokolips to Earth in seconds.

What’s more impressive about this is that apokolipse gets off the multiverse

         Sun Eater’s are pretty big

Survives attacks from the Void Hound

and the Void Hound destroyed 10 star systems in one test run

Survives another red sun eater’s detonation that was 50 times the size of the Keplar Supernova

It was right in the center of and survived the collision and fusion of Apokolips and New Genesis. This is really good, once again considering the size of these planets

Absorbs enough anti sunlight that would have vaporized half a galaxy

Superman tanks a blast coming from Soulfire Darkseid and the Source’s confrontation. In this same battle, Superman described the reality warping involved as affecting reality “to the Bleed”, clearly stating how potent the reality warping was

        observations:

“Then we can assume that Luffy’s punch would have decimated the planet.”

You did not show any feat that proves that he is planet level.

“We saw him essentially teleporting during the fight so he is certainly FTL”

You also have not shown that it is more FTL just because their fight took place at high speed does not mean they are faster than light

      • That’s quite a lot of feats! All right, when I have more time tomorrow or Saturday at the latest I will go and start grabbing a bunch of actual scans to use for the feats. It’s time to prove once and for all that Luffy is as tough as he looks, perhaps even tougher.

“You also have not shown that it is more FTL just because their fight took place at high speed does not mean they are faster than light”

Teleporting during combat makes you FTL though and Luffy has pulled this off many times before. That’s why he is known as such a dangerous opponent for all sides.

“cool, but not as impressive as endure a chronal storm”

I’d argue that Luffy’s durability is more impressive. Getting beaten up after already being exhausted is quite intense and few characters could take such punishment

      • “That’s quite a lot of feats! All right, when I have more time tomorrow or Saturday at the latest I will go and start grabbing a bunch of current scans to use for the feats. as tough as he looks, perhaps even tougher. ”

You finally understood what I want you to do.

it does not, it proves that his speed is very similar to lightning,

and superman took an explosion equivalent to 50 supernovae when it was weakened by red solar radiation. It took the explosion of the entire source wall in the face, endured the effect of the darkseid soulfire fight and presence that was changing reality to an absurd level! then endured an omega beam of the darkseid soulfire

and only a few moments later he endured the collision of new genesis and apokolipse

Luffy may have been able to catch even when he was tired, but superman endured extreme situations one after the other

      • “it does not, it proves that his speed is very similar to lightning,”

Superior to lightning you mean and I would argue that since Luffy wasn’t even at his best at that point that he is absolutely crazy now!

What’s more impressive about this is that apokolipse gets off the multiverse

        https://www.dccomics.com/sites/default/files/imce/2015/03-MAR/Multiversity_Map_600

so the superman traveled out and into the multiverse in seconds, literally a feat of immeasurable speed

        superman travels on time running

and from what flash, the trip could have destroyed the universe

he has also moved fast even with the negative manipulation of time

        based on this small analysis,

        force: superman

        speed: superman

so I guess the result is kind of obvious, superman wins

      • As I said before, Superman’s feats are very impressive. I like the fact that Superman was able to go through a whole multiverse so quickly. It adds a lot of credibility for when I say that he is the strongest comic book character. At the same time, in combat I don’t think he would be able to stand up to Luffy. He would quickly be getting punched around as he has shown many times that he can’t handle 1 on 1 fights. Luffy has grown way stronger and faster over the years while Superman’s power fluctuates based on the writer. Put them both at their best and I have to go with the King of the Pirates here. His abilities are seriously no joke

      • “At the same time, in combat I do not think I would be able to stand up to Luffy. I would have quickly gotten punched around as he has shown many times that he can not handle 1 on 1 fights”

let me just remind you that superman, faced characters that can eradicate the whole existence, and to face such characters he not only needed to be strong, fast and durable, he would have to have a lot of experience in combat, because he would have to have gone through such situations and knowing what to do in them, and also he would need to be strong in order to be able to hurt such beings, and also need to be quick to deflect attacks and counterattack quickly, and durable to resist the attacks of these beings and to remain alive and standing .

superman has repeatedly faced such enemies, as well as defeated them,
and you’re telling me he’s not good enough to take Luffy? The exploits you’ve shown do not prove he’s capable of beating the superman or accompanying him, and I’m aware he’s been hit by enemies slow, but Luffy also does not take advantage of this, since it has also been hit by slow enemies,

and you’ve also forgotten the fact that superman is trained by Batman and Wonder Woman, and is trained in Kryptonian martial arts.

“Luffy has grown way stronger and faster over the years while Superman’s power fluctuates based on the writer. Put them both at their best and I have to go with the King of the Pirates here. His abilities are seriously no joke”

if luffy is getting stronger, then it’s because the writers want him to get stronger, in addition superman gets stronger with each passing day, since every day his body absorbs solar energy, and also put the luffy at his best and I did the same thing with superman and in the end the pirate king lost his throne

      • “if luffy is getting stronger, then it’s because the writers want him to get stronger, in addition superman gets stronger with each passing day, since every day his body absorbs solar energy, and also put the luffy at his best and I did the same thing with superman and in the end the pirate king lost his throne”

Luffy never loses his throne. What I’m also saying is that Luffy’s power level is consistent and always rising while Superman is lucky to break even. Some days he looks good and some days he looks bad. He’s not quite in the same league as Luffy.

“let me just remind you that superman, faced characters that can eradicate the whole existence, and to face such characters he not only needed to be strong, fast and durable, he would have to have a lot of experience in combat, because he would have to have gone through such situations and knowing what to do in them, and also he would need to be strong in order to be able to hurt such beings, and also need to be quick to deflect attacks and counterattack quickly, and durable to resist the attacks of these beings and to remain alive and standing .”

Superman has faced some really strong opponents. However, they weren’t pirates. Superman knows hand to hand combat, but often forgets to use it and just starts swinging his fists. If I’m being honest here, I have to give the edge to Luffy. Luffy doesn’t get hit by slow opponents unless he wants to be

      • I think your blog did not post my review for some reason but here was my review

Okay, after all this time I came back and I’ll answer you

“Luffy never loses his throne Luffy’s power level is consistent and always rising Superman is lucky to break even Some days he looks good and some days he looks bad He’s not quite in the same league as the Luffy.”

I’m amazed to see how you’ve indignified all I’ve said and I’ve shown, superman innumerable times has infested enemies that can eradicate the whole existence, and this has not happened once or twice, been several times, so this Superman only picked up all the time and won only once or twice, but that does not happen in COMIC BOOKS unless you are talking about the drawings (which are neither canonical nor they are part of the original story of the character) and it is also worth remembering that he has often endured powerful enemy attacks and neither suffered much damage nor appeared to have taken the attack, while luffy in some of his fights was so wounded that he came to the brink of death.

“Superman has faced some really strong opponents, however, they were not pirates.” Superman knows hand to hand combat, but often forgets to use it and just starts swinging his fists. edge to Luffy. Luffy does not get hit by slow opponents unless he wants to be ”

so I think the luffy should be a sadomasochist because practically in all his fights he can not stand without taking damage, and on the superman shake his fists well, some of those wrist-shaking were strong enough to let some of his opponents lethally hurt or they were not able to do that, but they were not able to do so, and they were not able to do so. I have demonstrated several times.

and what exactly did you mean when you said that superman’s enemies are not pirates? Are you telling me that just because they are one-character characters mean they are stronger than the DC characters?

this argument makes no sense because some of the enemies that Luffy faced are simple pirates with special abilities (some of them do not even become city level) while the superman’s opponents are mostly gods and cosmic entities with immeasurable powers that can eradicate existence, or creatures that can destroy planets, stars or galaxies (like doomsday and rogor zaar).

plus the feats of strength, speed, durability, luffy can be impressive in your universe, but compared to what superman has already done and is able to sincerely, make luffy look like jokes.

      • Must have gone to spam for some reason. I don’t really check that box very often. All right, lets get into this debate.

“I’m amazed to see how you’ve indignified all I’ve said and I’ve shown, superman innumerable times has infested enemies that can eradicate the whole existence, and this has not happened once or twice, been several times, so this Superman only picked up all the time and won only once or twice, but that does not happen in COMIC BOOKS unless you are talking about the drawings (which are neither canonical nor they are part of the original story of the character) and it is also worth remembering that he has often endured powerful enemy attacks and neither suffered much damage nor appeared to have taken the attack, while luffy in some of his fights was so wounded that he came to the brink of death.”

Well, Superman definitely has a lot of good feats and such at his disposal. I won’t deny that Superman’s a strong fighter. I’d still say that he is the strongest comic book character, but he isn’t ready for a round against my main man Strawhat Luffy. Luffy is more consistent. While he has been brought to the brink of defeat in the past, it won’t happen very easily. At his prime Luffy can now take on almost any opponent 1 on 1. His rubber body will help insulate him from Superman’s attacks and you can’t underestimate his massive speed either. Superman has more raw strength, but he doesn’t have the combat speed needed to take on Luffy.

“so I think the luffy should be a sadomasochist because practically in all his fights he can not stand without taking damage, and on the superman shake his fists well, some of those wrist-shaking were strong enough to let some of his opponents lethally hurt or they were not able to do that, but they were not able to do so, and they were not able to do so. I have demonstrated several times.

and what exactly did you mean when you said that superman’s enemies are not pirates? Are you telling me that just because they are one-character characters mean they are stronger than the DC characters?”

Well, I’m just saying that if you put the One Piece villains against the DC ones, the former would be able to claim victory. On average they are just a whole lot stronger and more powerful. Superman would be on the defensive for most of the battle and would ultimately begin to falter. So, Superman has a lot of raw speed, but he doesn’t have good combat speed. It’s why you see him get hit by characters like Batman, Poison Ivy, etc. You won’t see that kind of thing happen to Luffy. Especially since he has Haki which lets him predict and expect hits like that.

Superman is great. I can’t stress that enough. Still, he just doesn’t have a chance here. Luffy’s a little too high tier here. Losing is just something that he doesn’t do.

      • “Well, Superman definitely has a lot of good feats and his at disposal. I will not deny that Superman’s a strong fighter. his feats show how strong he is how fast he is how durable he is, and most importantly, shows what he could do in a fight, shows if he would have speed to accompany the character, and to what extent he can and all that I’ve shown before is to show that luffy would be nothing new to superman,

he already faced enemies that could virtually destroy the DC multiverse and was able to withstand these powers, and of course endured planetary explosions, supernova explosions, black holes, and even a more powerful explosion than the big bang.

and even if luffy hit him with a king kong gun, it would not be anything the superman could not stand, since the same when he fought khyber he was thrown hard enough to ruffle the planet and cause a nuclear winter

and raises only a few seconds more pissed off than hurt

“His rubber body will help insulate him from Superman’s attacks and you can not underestimate his massive speed either.”

the resistance of the rubber has limits, and several times the luffy was injured even possessing a rubber body so that does not mean anything, and even the luffy being super fast it does not even compare to the speed of sprinters like the flash.

and it has often been shown that the superman can react at speeds like that of light (even higher)

based on this, the superman can rather react to luffy speed

“Well, I’m just saying that if you put the One Piece villains against the DCs, the former would be able to claim victory.” On average, they are just a lot stronger and more powerful. most of the battle and would eventually begin to falter So, Superman has a lot of raw speed, but he does not have good combat speed. ‘t see that kind of thing happen to Luffy. If you’re talking about characters like toy man, lex luthor, and etc. I even understand, but if you’re talking about characters like darkseid, imperiex prime, dominus, anti monitor, mr myx, and so on. so I guess you should not be inside yourself because these characters who are gods and cosmic entities (bearers of infinite powers)

how exactly can characters (some of them even being city level) defeat characters that are multiverse level being?

“Superman has a lot of raw speed, but he does not have good combat speed. It’s why you see him get hit by characters like Batman, Poison Ivy, etc. You will not see that kind of thing happen to Luffy.”

“Superman has a lot of raw speed, but he does not have good combat speed. It’s why you see him get hit by characters like Batman, Poison Ivy, etc. You will not see that kind of thing happen to Luffy.”

as I have demonstrated several times superman has combat speed more than enough to combat luffy, and the situation you mentioned are common situations in the life of superman situations I mentioned were situations in which it was necessary for superman to use his speed reaction, now in normal situations in the life of the superman it is completely unnecessary to use all his speed to solve situations that need little, and as luffy is a fast opponent then the superman will certainly use his reaction speed and combat.

plus this situation you’re mentioning was when poison ivy used poison with kripitonite to manipulate the superman’s mind and batman used a kripitonite ring to hurt superman, both of whom used superman’s weaknesses to hit him and this is not valid, just as it is not worth the fact that luffy was shot by a seastone’s bullet.

“Superman is great.” “I can not stress that enough.” “Still, I just do not have a chance here.” “Luffy’s a little too high tier here.

too high in his universe with his enemies, but against someone is strong enough to move and destroy planets with his own hands, contain a black hole with his hands, lift infinite weight, break the boundaries of space time and reality and face enemies that can destroy all existence, frankly it is more than the luffy is able to perk.

It’s worth remembering too that combat speed is not the only thing that matters in a fight, strength, durability too, so stop saying that superman can not defeat luffy just because of combat speed (though I have already shown he has and use only when necessary) because that’s not all that matters.

      • “his feats show how strong he is how fast he is how durable he is, and most importantly, shows what he could do in a fight, shows if he would have speed to accompany the character, and to what extent he can and all that I’ve shown before is to show that luffy would be nothing new to superman,…..”

Superman does have some great feats. The scans you posted certainly do show why he is such a threat. At his best Superman has even juggled planets and such. He’s certainly no pushover or anything like that. At the same time, Superman’s been shown to be rather inconsistent. Now, we can perhaps say that it is because some threats aren’t worth his time as you suggested. Perhaps he has to tap into his abilities so he can be slow to react if he isn’t expecting an attack. However, while that could work to an extent, I don’t think it completely solves the problem for him. His durability doesn’t go down and yet he takes solid hits from relatively low tier villains at times. We’re using composite so Superman is at his best but this should all be taken into consideration.

Now, you’re saying that combat speed isn’t the only thing that matters. That’s true, but it has a huge impact on the fight. Put it this way, if you take away the combat speed then the fight is determined by the abilities. Luffy and Superman both have similar abilities. Superman has his unique heat vision while Luffy has his Rubber powers. Beyond that, they both have super strength and speed. Superman may have those abilities at a higher level, but how well he uses them in combat is crucial. He won’t be able to keep up with Luffy in a close quarters brawl. Superman will be able to recognize that a hit is closing in and adapt as best he can, but at the end of the day he won’t be able to get out of the situation as smoothly as he would have hoped and that’s where things are going to get dicey for him.

“If you’re talking about characters like toy man, lex luthor, and etc. I even understand, but if you’re talking about characters like darkseid, imperiex prime, dominus, anti monitor, mr myx, and so on. so I guess you should not be inside yourself because these characters who are gods and cosmic entities (bearers of infinite powers)”

Yeah, I’m talking about the latter guys. Lets say we have Lucci, Dogtooth, and Whitebeard against Darkseid, Mr Mxy, and Anti Monitor, the first group will win. Once again, those guys are just stronger fighters and have been in the ring for quite a while. Their unique talents and techniques will keep the DC villains at bay while also cementing their advantage very quickly. You just can’t hope to stop such heavy weights from running away with the title.

  6. Now THIS is funny. Luffy is so hopelessly outclassed here. Superman not only solos the SH Pirates, he solos the One Piece world. Luffy stands a chance only if it’s DCEU or DCAU because those versions are intentionally nerfed to oblivion for the sake of the plot.

Strength: Superman. What is Luffy’s greatest strength feat? Does it come anywhere near the time Superman held up a conscious void with the entire Multiverse growing inside it?

Speed: Superman. All of them. Travel, combat, you name it. Also Luffy is NOT FTL. Admiral Kizaru is the ONLY character in One Piece confirmed to be AT, NOT FASTER than light speed, seen as in the Marineford Arc, Kizaru called Luffy in Gear 2 “slow.” Combat speed is also a no-brained. Luffy vs Lucci is pitiful compared to Superman against Shazam, Doomsday, Darkseid, Zod. He speed blitzes them and he’s stated countless times that he can blitz at the speed of light. There’s also the fact that he can speed up his senses to slow time around him and can keep up with The Flash, the fastest being in all of fiction.

Durability: Hahahaha. Luffy got burned by Akainu’s magma. Even the DCAU Superman isn’t affected by magma. He was fighting Doomsday inside a volcano. He’ll incinerate Luffy with his heat vision. If Aokiji can freeze him, so can Superman. His freeze breath cancels out Captain Cold’s gun, so that means it reaches Absolute Zero.

Intelligence: Is this even a debate? Superman is a descendant of the most intelligent race (excluding Gods) in the Universe and he processes information thousands of times faster than supercomputers.

“He doesn’t have the raw power” Haha yes he does. Luffy vs Lucci proved that he can be beaten by brute force alone, and since its kind of obvious Lucci is barely mid tier and Superman is way above top tier in OP, I’d say Superman’s punch atomizes him. But then again, he can shatter planets with ease, and Luffy’s durability isn’t all that impressive. Don’t forget that the only reason Luffy is still alive is because of his friends helping him and sheer luck. He should have died in the Alabasta Arc after Crocodile drained him of water.

    • I think you’re lowballing Luffy here. The guy is definitely FTL, just look at how fast his fight with Lucci was. Luffy was strong enough to land blows on really powerful enemies in the One Piece series and his durability is also on point. Superman always sounds good in theory, but his combat applicable speed is just not good enough.

      • luffy FTL? you just kidding?Have you shown absolutely no feat that proves that it is FTL, and the superman’s combat speed?

he took the flash that was running at such an insane speed that he manipulated reality

in his fight against darkseid he the blitzes until the sun in a few mere seconds

reacted to flash slow down everything

accelerates your perceptions to accompany the flash that paralyzed the time

and one of the superman’s own authors said he can speed up his perceptions of seeing everything in attosecond-scale

he also moved fast even with the negative manipulation of time

ie his combat speed is Muuuuuuito greater than that of Luffy, he is strong, fast and tough than Luffy, it does not have the slightest chance

      • Remember that for every big Superman feat there are 2-3 to stop it. Superman gets tagged by just about everyone. His speed is really up and down all the time. Even factoring in his biggest travel feats, the guy just can’t fight at a consistently fast level like Stawhat Luffy. Luffy has his Gears at the ready and even without them he was able to dodge a point blank laser. Superman in combat has had a tough time with the likes of Batman. Yes, Superman would probably win a race against Luffy, but that’s not enough to win the fight

      • Whoa there, give me some more time. I haven’t been by the computer much so for the longer comments I have to wait until Saturday. I’ll make sure to remind the world why Luffy is top tier

its reaction speed is nanosecond + level

and according to one of its authors the reaction speed of it is attosecond + level

and the luffy’s reaction speed is hypersonic + level, and the superman’s speed is attosecond level (or trillion times the speed of light) the superman can easily blitzs him. and please stop using the cartoon and non-canonical fonts to justify their arguments, and so far you have not shown any deed that proves that luffy is faster than light.

      • Luffy outspeeds light casually. If you ask me, that alone shows why he is one of the strongest to ever fight it out. Now, Superman’s cartoon moments have to be considered as I mentioned they are his best feats. They may not have the same ring to it as nanosecond or attosecond, but we actually see him move quite quickly against his opponents. The problem is that he also gets blasted just as easily by other opponents. With Luffy you can bet that he won’t get hit unless he wills it to be so.

      • Sorry but this has nothing to do with the speed of light, you think this is speed of light just because the name of the attack is “ray of light”? the speed of light was never mentioned in the feat

      • this feat proves nothing because the speed of light is not even mentioned in the feat, and just because the name of the attack is “ray of light” does not mean that it is an attack on the speed of light, and definitely do not see how to deflect a laser proves that he is FTL

“but Superman has also lost to bank robbers in the past among others”

this situation that you are describing has never occurred in comics unless you are talking about the cartoons that as I said before are totally irrelevant because they are not canonical.

      • See, that’s the difference between the comics and anime. In the comic they will say that something is at the speed of light as hyperbole or just to make it more impressive. In the cartoons they just show a beam of light and you know that it is FTL if a character dodges. That’s what One Piece did and it works effectively. Luffy didn’t deflect it either, he simply dodged.

You caught me. That was from the TV show but it is still relevant even if it is not canon

      • In comics, they will say that something is at the speed of light, hyperbole or just to make it more impressive. “The exploits that I showed of the superman did not even mention the speed of light, but this was demonstrated.

“In the cartoons they just show a ray of light and you know it’s FTL if a character dodges. That’s what a piece did and it works effectively.” Luffy did not turn away either, he simply dodged. ”

again laser beams are not light, and just because the name of the attack is “ray of light” does not mean that the attack is at the speed of light will be so difficult to understand? it seems so

“.You caught me. That was from the TV show but it is still relevant even if it is not canon”

I do not know why you insist on using the cartoons when they are totally irrelevant, the superman presented in the drawings is weak, without saying that the drawings are not canonical either

      • “The exploits that I showed of the superman did not even mention the speed of light, but this was demonstrated.”

That’s fair, but it still doesn’t mean they are necessarily as impressive as what we’ve seen visually. For example

This is probably still in Superman’s top 3 most impressive scenes.

“again laser beams are not light, and just because the name of the attack is “ray of light” does not mean that the attack is at the speed of light will be so difficult to understand? it seems so”

This laser beam was definitely massively FTL though. You can just tell based on how intense it looked and how everybody reacted.

The cartoon Superman is still his strongest form. Point to a comic and I just point to the TV show as a better feat. He was basically perfect there

      • “That’s fair, but it still does not mean they’re necessarily as impressive as we’ve seen visually, for example”

“That’s probably still in the 3 most impressive Superman scenes.”

sorry but just because this did not appear visually does not mean he did not, and luffy did absolutely nothing impressive besides diverting from a laser beam,

“This laser beam was definitely massively FTL though. You can tell how intense it looked and how everyone reacted.”

I do not know where you got that laser beam is massively FTL, and just because everyone was impressed with what the luffy did, does not mean it was faster than light.

“The cartoon Superman is still strong.” I point to a comic and I just point to the TV show as a better feat.

Again, I watched the superman cartoons and read his comics, and the cartoon superman is too weak when compared to him in comics (and you know that very well) the only reason you use the cartoon superman is because he is the only version of the superman that the luffy manages to defeat, because of the comic he does not have the least chance.

      • He didn’t divert the laser blast though. He just dodged it which is immensely impressive. I also don’t deny that Superman performed those feats. I’m just saying that they weren’t quite as downright amazing as you would have us believe. In truth, Luffy probably could have done all of that.

Everyone was impressed and you just have to roll with the narrative there. Why actually say that the blast was FTL when you can show it? That’s just basic story telling logic there.

Animated Superman is still the best Superman if you ask me. He’s looked very impressive throughout, particularly in the Justice League cartoon. Never in all of my years have I seen a comic book character move with that level of speed and raw power. It was absolutely crazy!

      • “He didn’t divert the laser blast though. He just dodged it which is immensely impressive. I also don’t deny that Superman performed those feats. I’m just saying that they weren’t quite as downright amazing as you would have us believe. In truth, Luffy probably could have done all of that.”

do you know what a nanosecond is?, apparently not, nanosecond is 1 billionth of a second, it would take 1 billion nanoseconds to make a second, for example he reacted to his mother’s death in a nanosecond (or 1 billionth of 1 second ) http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V0RZe_o8DXI/WpZqZBh2TaI/AAAAAAAAJjA/gkjC4W1HdXIHyKMD4GmQ6par2eplGsjKwCHMYCw/s1600/RCO014.jpg

and it was only 999,999 million nanoseconds to make 1 second in which krypton would explode, in other words the superman reacted to his mother’s death 1 billionth of a second before krypton explodes (literally much faster than light)

and attosecond is 1 trillionth of a second (literally 1 trillionth of an instant) an instant lasts 320 attoseconds. and superman can see all in some attoseconds as his author

note that the author has not made it clear how many attoseconds the superman can see all maybe 1 2 3 or 4 attoseconds, in other words the superman’s speed of reaction is faster than an instant!

and no, luffy can not do that, since he has not dismantled proof of that, and dodging a laser beam does not make it faster than light.

“”Everyone was impressed and you just had to roll with the narrative there. Why do you say the blast was FTL when you can show it?” This is just basic logic of storytelling there. ”

again, that laser is not at the speed of light, even because the name “ray of light” does not mean that the attack is at the speed of light, and just because they were impressed by it, does not mean that that attack was at the speed of light, just because the attack has “light” in the name does not mean that the attack is at the speed of light, and this does not prove that luffy is faster than superman (and neither FTL)

“Animated Superman is still the best Superman if you ask me.He’s looked very impressive throughout, particularly in the Justice League cartoon.Never in all of my years have I seen the comic book character move with that level of speed and raw power. It was absolutely crazy! ”

let me understand this argument, the cartoon superman is better just because it moves and in the comics that are just images on paper, and it does not move? sorry, but this type of argument is a fallacy, just because the superman of comic does not move and is just an image on paper, this does not invalidate his exploits in comics

        and more

“Never in all of my years have I seen comic book character moves with that level of speed and raw power. It was absolutely crazy!”

perhaps because superman in comic books is not animated, does not move, does not fly as if alive. this argument is simply ridiculous just because the cartoon superman is animated does not mean that he is better than he comics,

his argument consists of “superman in cartoons is better because he is ANIMATED”

      • That Superman scene definitely seems like comic hyperbole. Granted, it’s canon hyperbole, but that doesn’t really change things. A nano second is starting to get rather crazy but lets say that he is that fast. That doesn’t stop Luffy from creaming him in close quarters combat now does it? Superman wouldn’t be able to react to Luffy’s intense flurry of blows. It would just be too much for him and I say that as a big Superman fan. He simply isn’t quite as good in a fight.

Superman can’t react in time to stop any of the faster foes.

Luffy can and that is why he would win this fight.

I’m not saying that the comics aren’t any good because the character can’t move, but it does limit their effectiveness overall. You need animation and motion to really show the world your skills. Comics tend to overcompensate with dialogue and stuff to make the characters stronger, but it’s just not enough

      • “That Superman scene definitely seems like comic hyperbole.” “Granted, it’s canon hyperbole, but that does not really change things.” A nano second is starting to get rather crazy but lets say that that is fast. Superman would not be able to react to Luffy’s intense flurry of blows. good in a fight. ”

sorry, but just because the feat is exaggerated does not mean it’s hyperbole, it has absolutely nothing to prove that luffy is faster than him and so he needs lowball superman with baseless assumptions and fallacies

“That does not stop Luffy from creaming him in close quarters combat now does it? Superman would not be able to react to Luffy’s intense flurry of blows. “I’m just not very good at fighting.”

he reacted to the speed of characters such as flash, professor zoom , monarch, barrey alan characters that are much faster than light, and luffy is at max hypersonic + level.

        and more

The superman is being hit by another Kryptonian and the superman was suffering from overdose of solar energy (or cancer). )

and there’s more this superman you’re showing is the superman allstar, not the superman post-crisis (and the allstar superman is neither canonical)

“I’m not saying that comics are not good because the character can not move, but it limits their overall effectiveness.” You need animation and movement to really show the world your skills. “The comics tend to overcompensate with dialogue and other things, make the characters stronger, but it’s not enough ”

it’s like I said before, you think the cartoon superman is better just because he’s excited, and that kind of argument is flawed

      • “sorry, but just because the feat is exaggerated does not mean it’s hyperbole, it has absolutely nothing to prove that luffy is faster than him and so he needs lowball superman with baseless assumptions and fallacies”

At least I’m using both assumptions and fallacies instead of just picking one or the other. Lets face it, Superman’s not nanosecond material even if he acts like it at times.

I’m not saying cartoon Supermanis the best because he’s excited. I’m saying that he’s the best because he is the best. We’ve seen him actually use his speed in practical settings. He still gets beaten up by rather slow opponents but for the most part this version of Superman is not messing around. He is here to win and that’s what I like about the portrayal. He’s just a whole lot more impressive.

      • “At least I’m using both assumptions and fallacies instead of just choosing one or the other. Let’s face it, Superman is not nanosecond, even if he does it sometimes.”

assumptions are not facts, and you have absolutely no evidence to support them, and use fallacies such as to say that all the estates of the superman’s reaction speed is nanosecond is just a hyperbole to make the feat more impressive and that without showing absolutely no evidence to support their arguments

“Superman’s not nanosecond material even if he acts like it at times.”

if it really is not nanosecond then why sometimes it reacted in nanoseconds when it saved the anti matter babe?

because the superman himself is saying that he can measure time in nanoseconds if he was not able to do it? because knowing the superman he is not a guy who would exaggerate his abilities if he could not do it

furthermore if the superman is not attosecond, how did he accelerate his perceptions to be able to keep up with the flash?

and why one of his authors said that he could speed up his perceptions to see everything in attoseconds if he could not do it?

the testimony of the superman’s exploits and that of his author completely stripped his arguments

“I’m not saying Superman is the best because he’s excited.I’m saying he’s the best because he’s the best. We’ve seen him really use his speed in practical environments. He is still beaten by slow opponents but “I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to do it,” he said.

Yes, the cartoon superman is fast, but not as fast as the comic book superman who traveled in time just running, who traveled light years just flying, I know that the cartoon superman is very fast only not as fast as the he in the comics

“He still gets beaten up by rather slow opponents but for the most part this version of Superman is not messing around.

but, let’s just remind you that luffy also does not take advantage of this, as it was also hit by slow enemies, ah yeah, that’s the cartoon superman (which is not canonical).

“He’s here to win and that’s what I like about the portrayal. He’s just a lot more impressive.”

but he is very weak when compared to the comic book superman.

      • “assumptions are not facts, and you have absolutely no evidence to support them, and use fallacies such as to say that all the estates of the superman’s reaction speed is nanosecond is just a hyperbole to make the feat more impressive and that without showing absolutely no evidence to support their arguments”

That’s true. Still, Luffy can keep up with Superman in speed. I’d like to see Superman try to deal with someone like Rob Lucci.

“Yes, the cartoon superman is fast, but not as fast as the comic book superman who traveled in time just running, who traveled light years just flying, I know that the cartoon superman is very fast only not as fast as the he in the comics”

That’s false. In the cartoons Superman is able to move so fast that guys like the Flash have a hard time hitting him. We see him in motion and he proves his speed. I’d like to see the comic Superman do this. Superman has lost to bank robbers in the past, lets not forget that. I’d like to see something like that happen to Luffy.

        Superman can’t handle Luffy

      • “That’s true. Still, Luffy can keep up with Superman in speed. I’d like to see Superman try to deal with someone like Rob Lucci.”

I’m impressed the way you indulge all the facts, superman has already shown that he can match his speed with that of sprinters like flash, wally west, professor zoom (who are the fastest sprinters of all fiction)

and rob lucci is at maximum faster than a blink of an eye

“That’s false. In the cartoons Superman is able to move so fast that guys like the Flash have a hard time hitting him.We see him in motion and he proves his speed. I’ve got to robberies in the past, let’s not forget that. I’d like to see something like that happen to Luffy. ”

and that’s just because he did not let the flash hit him in cartoons, it does not mean he can not do it in comics, in addition superman has already made things much more impressive in comics.

he reached out and picked up the flash that was moving so fast it changed reality

        reality blitz missiles catches

and Superman’s reality blitzing missile feat according to this http://www.narutoforums.com/xfa-blog-entry/reality-blitzing-missiles-revised.35590/ is at least 5.2596E19c or 52 quintillion times the speed of light.

plus you mentioned the fact that the TV PROGRAMS superman has lost bank robbers, but that becomes totally irrelevant when we consider that this is not canonical, without saying that this is something totally out of context, and honest debaters would not consider things out of context, which of course is not your case.

        “Superman can not handle Luffy”

you often indulge everything I’ve shown you, use non-canonical fonts like cartoons, use things out of context, and if you are going to use things out of context I would use the fact that you have already been hurt by a slap of nami and magma .

and you have so far not shown manga scans to support your arguments

      • “plus you mentioned the fact that the TV PROGRAMS superman has lost bank robbers, but that becomes totally irrelevant when we consider that this is not canonical, without saying that this is something totally out of context, and honest debaters would not consider things out of context, which of course is not your case.”

There isn’t much context to be had there. I am as honest a debater as you will ever find so if I say something then it must be true. Lets just face the facts, Superman loses a lot of the time.

“you often indulge everything I’ve shown you, use non-canonical fonts like cartoons, use things out of context, and if you are going to use things out of context I would use the fact that you have already been hurt by a slap of nami and magma .”

Being hurt by Nami’s slap is just toon force. It’s noit a serious moment. As for the magma guy, that guy was impressively strong so that was fine. My manga scans are coming up in the next comment I am preparing

      • “There isn’t much context to be had there. I am as honest a debater as you will ever find so if I say something then it must be true. Lets just face the facts, Superman loses a lot of the time.”

if it does not even have a context, then it does not even deserve to be mentioned, this situation is irrelevant just for the simple fact that it is not canonical and out of context, and superman wins others and loses some, just like any other character (including Luffy). The moment you mentioned is not even canonical.

“Being hurt by Nami’s slap is just toon force. It’s noit a serious moment”

that’s what I mean, it’s so crude and so out of context that it does not even deserve to be taken seriously, just like the fact that he lost bank robbers

“As for the magma guy, that guy was impressively strong so that was fine. My manga scans are coming up in the next comment I am preparing”

but superman withstood higher temperatures than the sun’s core and luffy got hurt for magma, and I saw his exploits

      • “if it does not even have a context, then it does not even deserve to be mentioned, this situation is irrelevant just for the simple fact that it is not canonical and out of context, and superman wins others and loses some, just like any other character (including Luffy). The moment you mentioned is not even canonical.”

Being canonical doesn’t matter much so long as the scene felt important though. I think the scene had a lot of weight behind it so it deserved to get mentioned. It’s also a serious moment and not played for laughs or anything so we have to take it into consideration.

“that’s what I mean, it’s so crude and so out of context that it does not even deserve to be taken seriously, just like the fact that he lost bank robbers”

Completely different though. One scene was comedy, the other was serious.

“but superman withstood higher temperatures than the sun’s core and luffy got hurt for magma, and I saw his exploits”

An attack is a whole different can of worms though. When you’re attacked it makes the effect a whole lot more lethal.

    • “The problem is that he also gets blasted just as easily by other opponents. With Luffy you can bet that he will not get hit unless he wills it to be so.”

he picked up the professor zoom, who has attosecond reaction certainly not anyone who hits him, and this feat you showed does not prove anything

      • Yes, but Superman has also lost to bank robbers in the past among others. Why didn’t the Luffy feat prove that he was FTL? It did if you ask me

after this little analysis of the character, it is clear that luffy has no chance against superman

he has faced characters that can destroy the multiverse and the rest of existence, lifted infinite weight.

sorry but superman is way beyond the limits of luffy

  8. Luffy would win in my opinion. With willpower, Luffy can punch through many things like metal or stone. He’s also rubber so that means he is pretty immune to physical attacks.

  9. I am not sure that will finish Superman. It would damage him but not end him Superman has go toe to toe with Darkseid and Doomsday. I am not sure that Luffy would compare with any of those two guys.

    • Luffy’s gone up against Kaido and Doflamingo though. His speed and power are absolutely insane and that was before the timeskip. Superman’s got incredible stats but I don’t think he has enough combat ones to keep up with Luffy

      • I don´t think Kaido and Doflamingo can compare against Doomsday and Darkseid and lets not forget too that Superman is very fast too. He is faster than a bullet and light. He has been able to match Flash´s speed and lets not forget that Superman has upgraded his laser beam and become very super powerful and I am sure it would finish Luffy.

      • I’d say those two could match them. Doflamingo could just slice Doomsday to pieces and Kaido’s strength would be too much for Darkseid’s defense. Superman is incredibly fast but he doesn’t have any combat movements that would put him above Luffy. Luffy’s one of the strongest fighters we’ve seen in a long while

  10. Darkseid is among the most powerful beings of the DC Universe from the race known as New Gods. His main power, the Omega Beams, is a form of energy that he fires from his eyes or hands as either a concussive force or a disintegrating energy which is capable of erasing living objects and organisms from existence. objects and organisms from existence.
During the battle, Doomsday displays massive superhuman strength, durability and stamina, as well as the ability to “evolve” and regenerate at an incredibly fast pace, growing bone protrusions and gaining more muscle mass, in addition to being able to absorb energy and fire heat blasts from his eyes and mouth. I don´t thinks Doflamingo and Kaido can beat guys like Doomsday and Darkseid.

    • Yeah those guys are super strong for sure. I consider both of them to be among the top fighters in DC. But they have abilities just as critical. Doflamingo was able to make a cage that could even trap Zoro and Luffy who were unable to break through. Kaido was able to withstand a hit from Luffy Gear 4 which is also crazy. They aren’t lacking in the power department

      • Wrecked by everyone? He is the one who wreck everyone. He was able to put into shame The Justice League, Steppenwolf, Shazam and a lot more. Superman is just in a superior level than Luffy.

      • Yeah, remember how Superman has lost to Aresia, Joker, Batman, Wonder Woman, Livewire, Parasite, etc. Luffy would have wrecked all those guyz

  11. Aresia just weakened Superman and escaped and if she wouldn´t have do that then she would have been beaten by Superman I mean even Superman said he can´t win, Joker just manipulated Superman, Batman only won because he used kryptonite that is Superman´s weakness if he wouldn´t have used it then Superman would have obviously won, in Justice league we saw that Superman fights Wonder Woman and she humiliates her, Superman defeated Livewire, and Superman defeated Parasite too and he and Livewire teamed up to beat Superman but they both were defeated. Superman is way stronger for Luffy to handle.

    • Aresia still got him in a chokehold before all of that so she has overwhelmed him in power. Batman’s beaten Superman many times. Superman has even lost to bank robbers in the past which is pretty intense. What I’m saying is Luffy wouldn’t lose there. He’s got consistent stats around the board so he is always ready for another round. His durability is on point as well which just helps his odds even more. I don’t see Superman being able to do all that much against him

      • Aresia only won because he overpowered him with some kind of gas, Batman only defeated Superman because he used kryptonite if he wouldn´t have used it then he would have been wrecked by Superman, and Superman never lost to bank robbers he always stop them and humiliates them. Super Strength: Superman’s strength was increased to the point where he could move entire planets.
Flight: The character gained the power of true flight.
Super Speed: Superman’s speed increased to the point where he could travel faster than light. Several stories depict him traversing great distances through space to other solar systems and distant galaxies and even other universes. He could cross our own solar system in minutes. He could also use this power to travel through time, as shown in his boyhood visits to the 30th century as a member of the Legion of Superheroes. Superman can also swim at speeds approaching Aquaman’s speed as well as run at speeds similar to that of the Flash. Superman is unable to beat Flash in a race.
Invulnerability: By the 1970s, Superman became able to withstand an atomic explosion and even fly through the core of a star. He was also immune to non-Kryptonian diseases and all radiation except for that of a red sun or Kryptonite.
Vision: In addition to X-ray vision and heat vision, Superman was also given telescopic and microscopic vision. The character could see across interstellar distances and observe events that occurred on a microscopic and even atomic level. He could also see across the full electromagnetic spectrum, including infra-red and ultraviolet light.
Hearing: Superman could hear sound at almost any wavelength and at great distances. His hearing is use for people calling him for his help as for distress calls.
Super Breath: Superman’s breath was capable of freezing objects and generating hurricane-force winds. His super breath can extinguish fires or freeze things. He could also hold his breath indefinitely, allowing him to travel underwater or in space without breathing apparatus.
Mental Powers: Superman possessed genius-level intelligence and an eidetic memory. These enhanced mental capabilities were a direct result of his exposure to a yellow sun, as evidenced by the depiction of Superman’s dog, Krypto. While under a yellow sun, Krypto’s intelligence was boosted to that of a typical human. Superman also possessed the mental ability to screen out the enormous amount of information received by his enhanced senses, and to focus on a single detail, such as a particular voice or location. As well, his speed reading abilities were much like that of the Flash. He was able to absorb large amounts of information quickly; whether it entered his short term or long term memory is hazy. Under a yellow sun, a Kryptonian gains the ability to speak and understand all languages.
Super Ventriloquism: Superman could throw his voice across great distances. This power was used to confuse enemies or protect his secret identity by tricking others into believing that he (or Clark Kent) was in a different location.
Super Hypnotism: This power enabled Superman to hypnotize anyone. He could make people forget incidents or obey his commands. This power was often used to safeguard his identity.
Stamina: Superman could survive indefinitely without food, water, or rest due to the yellow sun’s radiation sustaining him.
Healing factor: Superman could regenerate physical damage to his body at an accelerated rate. He was able to regenerate when Wonder Woman slit his throat with her tiara in Wonder Woman #219. In the series Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman regenerates his body after being reduced to near a skeleton by a special nuke that was designed to blot out sun light and disrupt energy. Superman’s healing rate has been inconsistently portrayed, however. In the first issue of the “Superman/Batman” comic, Alfred is able to remove a Kryptonite bullet from Superman’s body without fear of the wound closing (probably because the Kryptonite was affecting his ability to heal).
Memory-wipe kiss: Superman could wipe people’s memories by simply kissing them. This ability was first demonstrated in Action Comics #306.
Other Powers: Writers of Superman would occasionally experiment with new powers for the character. In general, the abilities that proved popular and useful became part of his regular repertoire, while others would be discarded after a single use. In addition to his other super senses, Superman was occasionally shown as having highly-enhanced senses of touch and smell.
Luffy can´t take down someone as powerful like Superman he could try all he want but he would sill be wrecked. Plus Superman can keep up with Goku who is one of the most powerful beings in the world of anime and even more powerful than Luffy so I am pretty sure he can´t compete with Superman.

      • Watch the episode “A little piece of home” from the Superman DCAU series. Superman literally gets wiped out by a pair of human bank robberts.

Goku wouldn’t even break a sweat taking Superman down. At least with Luffy it’s a decent fight

  12. I watch it and he gets to stop the robbers in that episode. Superman is able to keep up with almost all Goku´s forms without problem: SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, SSJ4, SSJG, and SSJB you named all of it! Maybe not MUI but he would give Goku more of a fight than Luffy.

    • He doesn’t. Superman is literally knocked unconscious by the Kryptonite. Of course in round 2 he beats them but that’s it.

Goku could beat Superman in his base form while holding back. The gap between them is absolutely enormous. Superman would have a hard time even staying conscious when Goku powers up

      • Superman is capable to keep up and even beat almost all of Goku´s forms. He is power is absolutely in another level than Goku. His base form couldn´t definitely beat Superman that easily even SSJB could not take him down. He is knocked out from the kryptonite because that is his weakness. Superman´s power has no limits while Goku´s has limits and the sun would help Superman very much in the fight because we know the sum makes Superman stronger. Maybe Superman can´t beat Goku´s MUI form but he would sure make a better fight than Luffy.

      • Goku’s faster, stronger, more durable, and has better hand to hand tactics than Superman. I don’t see how the Man of Steel could do almost anything to him. Way I see it, Goku’s just on a completely different level. Superman has some good moments but a lot of inconsistent ones as well

  13. Superman´s powers has no limits they just keep growing stronger but Goku´s powers has their limits. Superman´s way faster he can run faster than light and can match Flash´s speed, he is way durable too he can take punishments from powerful guys like Doomsday and Darkseid, and he is way stronger too he is able to pull a giant Titanic without any problem. Goku may put a good fight to Superman but he would still get smashed by him but I agree that MUI could beat him.

    • Superman definitely has limits. Remember when he got knocked out by a manhole cover that was coated with electricity? Goku would have tanked that with ease. He’s beaten guys far more powerful than Superman and his speed is off the charts as well. No way Goku loses here

      • Superman doesn’t have limits. Remeber that he keeps getting stronger thanks to the sun’s radiations he will beat all of Goku’s forms except MUI. I only would agree with you that MUI could beat Superman and Superman has gotten toe to toe with foes that could even be stronger than SSB Goku like: Doomsday and Darkseid.

      • Glad we agree that MUI Goku would beat Superman but I would say Goku would also win in base form. The guy gets stronger with each battle and has been proving that for years. At this point I don’t see how Superman would even be able to react to Goku’s attacks, let alone stop them. Goku’s just far too good with his stats

  14. Goku may get stronger when he trains a lot but stilll he has his limits while Superman gets stronger every second thanks to the sun. I agree MUI would beat Superman but not Goku’s Base form, SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, SSJ4, SSJG, and SSJB even with kaioken to level 20.

      • How can something that has his limits to something that keeps getting stronger every day and every second? Superman would take almost all of Goku´s forms: SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, SSJ4, SSJG, and SSJB and even with kaioken at level 20 but I would agree MUI could take down Superman.

      • Superman’s strength doesn’t improve all that quickly though. Maybe in a million years he would grow stronger than Goku but at this point in the game Goku’s just way stronger and faster than Superman which makes things pretty tricky for them here

  15. Remember that Superman´s dad say him that the sun´s radiation make him grow stronger so all the days he has been in Earth he got stronger every second. Goku may get stronger too but not every day like Superman.

    • Yeah Superman does get stronger but very slightly. I would argue at a slower pace than Goku since Goku actively trains while Superman does not. Goku got his power level from Frieza to Omega Shenron in the span of some years while Superman had no noticeable jump like that

  16. He doesn´t get lazy. He just keeps doing his human life but when he sees danger he just changes to Superman and saves the day. Luffy is strong for sure but he doesn´t get stronger every day like Superman. He gots the advantage here.

    • Right, because Superman is strong enough where he doesn’t need to train but it does hurt him in the long run. Luffy has no such issues as he has to train in order to survive. Same with Goku. They just keep going onto new heights which ends up leaving Superman in the dust because he is just waiting for the Sun

      • Goku and Luffy may get stronger by training but that takes some time while Superman gets stronger every day without training. He gots the advantage so he would defeat Luffy and all of Goku´s forms including SSJB goku with kaioken x20 but MUI would beat him.

      • It takes some time but the benefits are a lot better. Think of it this way, Superman gets a +1 every day he survives. Goku and Luffy get a +1000 every time they train once a week. Which character do you think will be getting stronger quicker?

  17. Superman sucks the sun´s radiation and makes him stronger imagine all the years he have been growing up and all the days he got stronger every second thanks to the sun? Goku and Luffy may train to get stronger but it would take them some time while Superman keeps getting stronger every day.

    • Right, but he’s already had all those years and we’ve seen his current level. Goku and Luffy are already higher than him so at this point we know the growth is incredibly slow to the point where it’s glacial

      • He gets stronger every second every day and for all the years he has been growing up to be a man imagine how powerful is now. Goku and Luffy may get stronger but it would take them some time while Superman gets stronger every day. Luffy doesn´t stand a chance and Superman would beat all of Goku´s forms and even kaioken x20 but not MUI of course…Unless.

      • We don’t have to imagine because the adult Superman is the guy we see in all the cartoons. We already know how strong he is and how much stronger Goku is. So if we start the counter from here Goku will remain as being far stronger than Superman at all times in all forms

  18. In all the years Superman has been living he has been getting stronger every day. Goku may train to get stronger but that will take him some time while Superman every day grows stronger. Superman would beat all of Goku´s forms even Kaioken x20 but MUI he wouldn´t be able to beat.

    • Right but put it this way. He looks about the same in Justice League as he does in Unlimited despite multiple years going on. Superman’s strength doesn’t increase all that quickly

      • He looks the same but his powers keep growing more! Super Man was able to take Wonder Woman who can beat Ares the god of war and she is the god killer! So that means she can beat many other gods. Superman´s powers keep getting stronger every day. Luffy doesn´t have a chance and Superman takes out all of Goku´s forms except MUI…Unless

      • Right but compare Superman in Action Comics 100 to Action Comics 900. There’s virtually no difference. His rate of improvement is slower than a snail. I do say that Superman is easily the strongest comic book character of all time. I’d put him above the Beyonder, Phoenix, and everyone else. That said, Goku and Luffy are in a completely different league. If Luffy activates his Conqueror’s Haki that’s basically curtains for everyone

  19. Superman has his sword that was constantly transitioning between matter and energy while held by Superman. The sword could fire energy at foes and dispel the illusion of Oswald Mandias created by King Kosmos. It was also a directional compass that took Superman to exactly where he needed to be. And Strange Visitor Superman is very powerful and he would sure be able to take down luffy. Superman action comics 100 may not be so powerful but Superman has do crazy things like: Able to beat Doomsday, Wonder Woman, and Darkseid and other things! So that means he keeps getting stronger. After all this years he must have gotten stronger every day thanks to the sun. Luffy may get stronger but that would take him some days or even a week while Superman is getting more stronger every day. Superman has the advantage.

    • Right but Superman barely ever gets stronger. He looks the same now as he did 10 years ago. Luffy in 3 years completely changed himself, same with Goku. That’s why both of them would crush Superman easy. He’s strong but it takes him way too long t get any more powerful because he has been slacking on his training for far too long at this point and it has come back to bite him

      • He looks the same but his strength isn’t. It gets stronger every day so tha is why he has the advantage over Luffy and Goku. Goku MUI may beat Superman but Luffy doesn’t stand a chance.

      • He doesn’t get noticeably stronger every day. He pretty much doesn’t grow except ultra slowly. He grows at the same speed we would if we did 1 push up a day. MUI Goku definitely destroys Superman but so does Luffy and normal Goku

  20. He gets stronger every day cause of the sun. Superman’s dad said that the sun makes him stronger. So he would get stronger every day so imagine all of the years he has been growing up how strong he is now. Superman is super strong he was even be able to beat darkseid and Doomsday. Superman would beat all of Goku’s forms except MUI and Luffy would get destroyed by Superman.

    • Yeah but you’re still ignoring that we already have seen Superman at this age and he hasn’t changed much. You seem to not have watched any of the movies, shows, or read any comics. Go check those out and come back to me about his improvement. You’ll see that its barely moved at all. Luffy destroys this poor lad, same with Goku

      • Superman has defeated Wonder Woman who can beat Ares the god of war, Doomsday, and Darkseid. So who can you think he can be defeated by Base Goku? You don´t know what he is capable of. Superman would beat: Base goku, SSJ goku, SSJ2 goku, SSJ3 goku, SSJ4 goku, SSJG goku, SSJB Goku, SSJB goku with kaioken x10, SSJB kaioken x20, and even Ultra Instinct omen but not Mastered Ultra Instinct. Superman would bring the fight to space where he would be powered up by the sun and he would beat Luffy with no problem. Luffy is powerful but he is not ready to take Superman.

      • Luffy would wreck all of those guys as well. Keep in mind that Base Goku by the current era of Super is stronger than SSJ3 Goku from DBZ. His power continues to jump up with each arc and also scales to all of his forms. that’s the real reason why Superman would be doomed here. He just isn’t prepared to deal with such a powerful opponent. Same with Luffy who could use the Conqueror’s Haki to just blow Superman away

  21. And Superman is way stronger too than SSJ3 goku. Don´t underestimate Superman I admit too that Luffy and Goku are very powerful but you say that Superman would even lose to Base Goku? There are like 0.1% of probabilities for that to happen almost all of Goku´s forms wouldn´t beat Superman except MUI of course. Luffy wouldn´t wreck Wonder Woman, or Doomsday, or neither Darkseid. Luffy has beaten powerful foes but not someone like Superman and it will take more than a Conqueror´s Haki from Luffy to take down Superman. Superman is way more powerful than Luffy.

    • Base Goku would crush Superman, same with Luffy. They’re just at a much higher level of power. Superman has lost to bank robbers in the past and tons of randoms that Luffy and Goku would laugh at

      • Superman never has lost to bank robbers instead he is the one who beats him. You don´t know what Superman can really do. There is now way Base Goku could beat Superman only MUI could beat him and Luffy really doesn´t stand a chance against Superman. You really need to do researches from the characters you are going to post.

      • Superman has lost to bank robbers. Clearly you haven’t done much research on this character lately. Watch literally the first 3 episodes of the Superman animated series and you’ll see the bank robbers beat Superman up. Luffy and Goku would do the same but even easier. You’re underestimating these characters again….

  22. I saw the episode but in the end Superman sends them to jail. You are underestimating Superman I means seriously who can you think Base Goku would beat Superman? That is just as stupid as saying that Spiderman would beat Bowser. Superman has defeated Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Darkseid and many more. Goku would need to be MUI to beat him. Luffy is powerful but I don’t see him be able to beat Superman.

    • Sure, but his taking them to jail doesn’t change the fact that he flat out lost to two human robbers. You’d never see that happen to Luffy or Goku. That’s why they would beat Superman with ease. Spiderman would also beat Bowser since Bowser’s too slow to dodge his attacks. That’s really what separates those two fighters in the end as well as the good ole spider sense. It’ll keep Spiderman on top

      • I saw the episode and he didn’t fight any bank robbers he just foughted a T-rex but in the end he beated him. Superman has deal with bank robbers many times and has beated many powerful foes like: Stepphenwolf, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Doomsday, and Darkseid. So Goku would need MUI to beat Superman. Superman’s powers are limitless while Goku has his limits. You are just underestimating him. Luffy wouldn’t stand a chance he would be wrecked by Superman. See what I am talking about? You just think if someone is faster than the other he would win. I bet you think that the Greater roadrunner of Warner Brothers would beat Godzilla just because his faster. No way Spiderman would beat him. Spiderman is my favourite superhero but he doesn’t stand a chance against the Koopa King. Spiderman is fast but he isn’t untouchable. He has been hitted by slow guys like Rhino. So Bowser would be able to hit him too. Bowser would even be able to dodge some attacks of Spiderman since Bowser has showed reactionary feats like: Dodging Pit’s arrows and Blocking Mario’s attacks. Bowser is way stronger and durable than Spiderman. He has many powerful attacks like the flying slam, the bowser bomb, and his drop kicks that would sure do great damage to spiderman. He has Giga Bowser too that would easily wreck Spiderman too. You better do research about Bowser or you will not know what he is capable of.

      • You’re changing your story again. I thought you saw the episode? You’ll need to do some research on Superman since you don’t seem to know a whole lot about him. That’s why you think he could actually beat Goku. Goku would stomp this guy into nothing with just an instant. That’s the difference with these fighters. Then you’ve also got Luffy who is in an entirely different league. He would be clobbering Superman. As for Spiderman, he’s just too fast for Bowser. Bowser gets wrecked a whole lot and I like the guy..but he always loses when it counts so I feel bad for him at the same time.

  23. You are the one who needs to do research about Superman. I means seriously only an idiot would think that Base goku would beat Superman. Superman has beated gods in the past. He defeated Doomsday and Darkseid. Who can you hope someone like that would just be defeated by Base Goku? You are super wrong kid, Goku would need MUI to take him down. You are underestimating Superman and also in the episode ”A little piece from home” Superman doesn’t fight bank robbers. He just fights a T-Rex. You better do research of Superman before opening your mouth.
And Luffy doesn’t stand a chance too. Luffy is powerful but he never has fought gods like Superman did. Superman’s superior power would finish him.
You sure are underestimating Bowser a lot kid. You need to do research of him too. Bowser was able to destroy a whole universe! Who can a normal superhero like Spiderman could hope to beat someone like that. Even though Spiderman is fast he isn’t untouchable, he was hitted by slow guys like Rhino, Kingpin, and Juggernaut. So Bowser would hit him too. Bowser is way too strong and durable for Spidey. And Giga Bowser would easily smash Spiderman.

    • You’re starting to get confused here. The bank robbers beat Superman up and Bowser’s not on a level where he could deal with Spiderman at all. He can barely break an island let along a universe. Bowser gets stomped here but not as badly as Goku stomps Superman. You need to do some research on these guys and the first thing I would do is look up Goku vs Nappa and then Superman vs Batman. Compare the two outcomes and then you’ll see why Goku is superior

      • My god! You are really driving crazy now! In the episode Superman didn’t fight any bank robbers! I just saw the episode but there was no bank robbers. You don’t know what Bowser has done in the past. Bowser has destroyed an entire universe in Mario Party 5! And he created his own. Bowser has fought Culex the master of time! He has the grand star and the dream stone who would make him a god and he would be able to do anything! Spiderman can’t hope to beat someone like that. He would get beated up by Bowser. Don’t say again that Batman beat Superman. I don’t know if yo watch the movie but batman used kryptonite that is Superman’s weakness! If he wouldn’t have used kryptonite then Superman would easily have beated Batman. You are the one who really need to do research since you think that someone like Superman that can beat: Stepphenwolf, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Doomsday, and Darkseid would be beated by Base goku. It’s actually impossible that Base goku beats Superman. His only opportunity is to turn MUI. The force needed to move an object out of the sun’s orbit by 1% is about one thousand times less than the object’s mass. The Earth weighs in just under 6.6 sextillion tons. This means that Superman is strong enough to move 6.6 quintillion tons. But since his solar power can rise infinitely, this is nowhere near his maximum strength. You really need to study Superman. Superman won’t have problem dealing with all goku’s froms except MUI. Superman is way strong than you think.

      • You clearly didn’t watch the episode then. Here’s a clip of it showing the scene where the bank robbers beat Superman.

It was a good bluff but I’ve seen that episode many times. Bowser isn’t nearly fast enough to do much here. Spiderman would crush him. Batman’s also beaten Superman many times. Kryptonite or not, it still counts as a win. You wouldn’t see Luffy or Goku lose to that. They’re just too powerful and would win with the greatest of ease

  24. So I see you didn’t notice that Superman was weakened by the kryptonite and that is why he lose. You saw that episode many times and you didn’t noticed that? Well that explains everything. The bank robbers and Batman only won because of Kryptonite we all know Batman only won because of that. If he wouldn’t have used kryptonite then he would have got wrecked by Superman. And also Superman deal with gods like Darkseid. Who do you hope that Base Goku would beat someone like that? You are clearly underestimating Superman. Superman would beat Luffy and all of Goku’s forms except MUI.
Bowser escaped a black hole! So by that fact Bowser is a lot faster and also Spiderman lost to Rhino is Spiderman Miles Morales while Bowser has been able to keep up with Culex and Mario. If you think Spiderman would beat Bowser then you are clearly a jerk. Bowser is way too tough for Spidey and his attacks would really leave him badly damage and with Giga Bowser he would wreck Spidey. Spiderman is my favourite superhero but it’s very obviously he doesn’t stand a chance for someone very powerful like Bowser.

    • Good, you finally saw the clip. Yeah Superman got wasted there. Kryptonite or not, he still got wrecked. Luffy or Goku wouldn’t lose like that. They would crush the Man of Steel just like everyone else did. As for Bowser, he’s pretty slow. Spiderman would easily just web around him and lay down the hammers of justice. No way Bowser gets up from that

      • He only los because of the kryptonite genius! He only lose to Batman and the bank robbers because to the kryptonite and if the kryptonite wouldn’t have appear then Superman would have wrecked them both very easily and also Superman has deal with darkseid who is literally a god. No way base goku would beat Superman. Goku only could beat Superman with MUI and Luffy wouldn’t stand a chance against the man of steel. You are underestimating Superman and you really need to do research of him.
The webs won’t work on Bowser because he could easily break free of it since Bowser has incredible super human strength and also Bowser would be able to hit Spiderman because even Spiderman has been hitted by slow guys like Rhino and Kingpin so he would be hitted too by Bowser. Spiderman has lost to Rhino while Bowser has been able to keep up with Mario and Culex. Bowser is way more powerful than you think.

      • You’re overestimating Bowser. He would get absolutely crushed with no remorse by a character as quick as Spiderman. Spidey would be dancing around while making quips the whole time. His Spider Sense also prevents him from being hit. As for Superman, he sure loses a whole lot though whether it’s with kryptonite or magic. Goku and Luffy have no such weaknesses and would be stomping Superman from start to finish. The Man of Steel stands no chance against them

  25. Since Clark Kent’s power source is the sun, it’s important to stress that Superman’s strength is continuously increasing the longer he’s exposed to its rays. Thus, while some modern versions of his origin state that he had human level strength and durability as a child, as a teenager and adult, Clark’s muscle power has grown exponentially year after year. So, how strong is Superman? Well, after roughly twenty or thirty years on Earth, Clark’s muscles have grown so strong he’s been known to pull continents apart or even hold black holes in his hands. At one point in Superman #13, Superman decided to work out with some advanced machines and found he could bench-press the weight of the entire Earth (roughly 5.972 sextillion metric tons) for five days straight.

When he gets really supercharged by the sun, Superman’s strength levels are virtually limitless. Once, in All Star Superman, he entered the sun to save a team of scientists and ended up able to lift 200 quintillion tons… with one hand. To top it off, Superman stated he felt like he could do more – indicating this wasn’t even close to his maximum potential. During the Silver Age, Superman actually manipulated entire suns like they were playthings – moving them closer to certain planets that had lost their previous sun, or even creating entirely new ones by smashing moons together! He also moved an entire galaxy to a sector of space with new suns… while he was still Superboy.
One interesting thing about Clark’s strength is that it isn’t completely dependent on muscle power. While Superman’s muscles are incredibly strong, the Man of Steel has noted on multiple occasions that objects feel considerably lighter to him when he’s lifting them while he’s flying. This indicates that when Superman lifts an object, he isn’t just exerting force with his arms and legs – instead he’s extending an energy field that helps him support all that weight. This would actually explain how Superman has been able to lift buildings into the sky without having them break apart – his energy is somehow holding the object together.

More recently, Clark’s revealed a new power called the “Solar Flare” which allows him to expel all the solar energy from his body at once, essentially turning him into a living bomb. The caveat is that this act depowers him for twenty-four hours until his body absorbs enough solar energy to re-energize his powers. While Clark is basically at human levels of strength at this stage, it’s remarkable how quickly he can recover his god-like strength when certain stories have shown he needed to absorb solar power for years before attaining incredible super strength. Clark can also further enhance his strength by absorbing the rays of a blue sun. Although the full effects of this type of solar radiation on Kryptonians is unknown, Clark found his normal powers were dramatically increased under a blue sun – and that he also got a special new power that let him give Kryptonian powers to normal humans.

As outlandish and, frankly, ridiculous as some of these strength feats might sound, it’s important to note that Superman occupies a very unique place in the pantheon of modern day superheroes. Where characters like Batman or Spider-Man emerged to give humans someone to aspire to, Superman exists largely to give other superheroes someone to aspire to in terms of his strength and morality. As such, Superman needs to be essentially limitless in terms of power. He may be a god that would prefer to be a man, but no matter how many times comic book creators may depower Superman in hopes of making him more “relatable,” sooner or later, the Man of Steel will return to his natural, limitless state.
Superman is more powerful than Luffy. Just think of it. Thanks to the sun his powers get strong every time so he would crush Luffy and Goku can only beat Superman with MUI.

You are underestimating Bowser very much. Just by hearing you say what you think of Bowser it’s very clearly you don’t know what he has done in the past. So you better not say anything if you don’t know what he can do.
Spiderman may be fast but he isn’t untouchable. Remember he has been hitted a lot of times by enemies and even by slow guys like Rhino and Kingpin so Bowser would hit him too. And his spider sense just alert him of surprise attacks but it doesn’t mean he could react to attacks all the time. He has been defeated by Rhino while Bowser has been able to keep up with Mario and Culex. He is way very tough for the teenager super hero. He is way more stronger, durable, versatile, has bigger arsenal, experience, hax, and magic. And Bowser can shoot lightning from his hands and Spidey definitely can’t dodge lightning and Bowser with his Giga form would crush Spiderman. I like Spiderman but it’s obvious he can’t beat Bowser.

    • Yeah those Superman stats aren’t impressive but they don’t change the fact that Luffy would win with ease. The pirate has his Conqueror’s Haki at the ready including years of combat experience. His Kong Gun would straight up knock Superman out. Goku would win with the Kamehameha. Superman wouldn’t be able to keep up. The guy’s been punked by Batman on multiple occasions. He’s not ready for this.

I know all about Bowser after playing all of his games. You’re overestimating him though. Keep in mind I say this as a Bowser fan but he’s not tough enough for this. Spiderman can use his spider sense to evade Bowser’s attacks and slap him silly. Bowser isn’t ready for this kind of power and would quickly be taken down

      • You are clearly underestimating Superman.
An important thing to understand about the history of superheroes is that they did not just spring out, fully formed, from nothingness. There were clear influences on the creation of every major superhero, and Superman was no exception. While the idea of super strength was a relatively novel one at the time, there were some notable precursors that directly influenced Jerry Siegel. The Edgar Rice Burroughs pulp fiction character, John Carter of Mars, gained superpowers when he traveled from Earth’s atmosphere to Mars’. Phillip Wylie’s novel, Gladiator, featured a baby who was born with super-strength.

Those were the influences when it came to fictional depictions of super-strength, but people have been fascinated with the idea of great feats of strength long before there were such things as pulp novels and comic strips. Circuses routinely featured so-called “strongmen,” who would wear colorful costumes and ply their muscular trade to gasps from the attending audience. Superman’s original costume, as designed by Joe Shuster, was clearly designed to look like a circus strongman. All of these influences combined to form the most important superhero in comic book history. So, as you can see, there is a long history of strength in pop culture, and with respect to Marvel’s resident Hulk, Superman is really the strongest there is! Here, then, are his most impressive feats of strength from the comics!

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s iconic masterpiece, All Star Superman, is, in general, a love letter to Superman’s past, with Morrison coming up with new takes on lots of classic Superman stories. However, the framework of the story is based around the basic idea that Lex Luthor sabotaged a mission of Dr. Leo Quintum and his team from the D.N.A. P.R.O.J.E.C.T. (a variation on the classic Project Cadums) to the sun, knowing that when Superman entered the sun itself to save Quintum and his team of scientists, that the sun would overcharge Superman.

The process of over-charging Superman’s cells is that he will ultimately die from being effectively poisoned by the very sun that gives him his strength in the first place.

The strange effects of the over-charging, however, is that Superman temporarily becomes more powerful than he ever was before he ultimately succumbs to the effects of the poisoning. So, for a while, Superman gained a new superpower with regularity. His strength also tripled, as Quintum notes here, he is easily lifting 200 Quintillion tons with just a single arm! He barely seems to even need to brace himself, as his strength is just off the charts. Sadly, Superman does die at the end of the series, as he merges with the sun to save it from exploding. Since we see the Superman from the future in the story, however, we know that he will eventually re-emerge from the sun some day.

At the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths, the various worlds of the Multiverse were combined together such that there was only a single Earth that the heroes from the various other worlds were merged into. So instead of there being an Earth-1 and an Earth-2, there was just one Earth with the characters from both worlds merged together. However, at the end of the story, a few distinct people survived in a sort of pocket universe. Those survivors were Superman and Lois Lane of Earth-2, Superboy of Earth Prime and Alexander Luthor, Jr of Earth-3.

As it turned out, they could monitor the combined Earth from their home/prison and they kept getting irritated that Earth was “wasting” the sacrifices that they made in saving this world for them. Superboy would get so angry that he would often punch the wall of the pocket dimension, which would alter reality in minor ways. For example, Jason Todd was dead, but Superboy punched the pocket dimension and suddenly, Jason Todd was alive. When they escaped from the pocket dimension to “fix” things, the Post-Crisis Superman fought Earth-2 Superman and their battle was so powerful that it caused many ripples in time and space itself. One of the side effects of the creation of the New 52 was that the Wildstorm was merged into the DC Universe. Recently, DC walked that decision back and gave the Wildstorm characters their own universe again, but in the early days of the New 52, the DC heroes suddenly had to interact with Wildstorm heroes and villains. One of the major Wildstorm villains was Helspont, who was part of the Daemonite invasion of Earth that was the centerpiece of the early WildC.A.T.s comic books back in the early 1990s. Early in the New 52, Superman found himself matched up against Helspont and he was shocked to learn that the villain might be too much for him to handle!

Superman felt that he had to increase his power so, basically, he started to work out.

Therefore, in Superman #13 (by Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rocafort), he went to go visit his friend, Dr. Shay Veritas, a scientist who specialized in superhuman research. So much of her work was theoretical until she finally met Superman and Supergirl and thus, some of the machines that she had built were given practical use for the first time. In any event, Superman felt that he had to increase his power to make him a stronger threat against villains like Helspont, so Veritas built, in effect, weight machines to help Superman get stronger. He hit his peak when he was able to bench press the equivalent of the Earth’s weight for five days straight!

During the Silver Age, one of the most amusing aspect of Superman’s great feats of strength is just how seemingly mundane some of them were. What we mean is, Superman was so strong in this era that he would do some of the most amazing things ever and he would do them nonchalantly. One of these examples occurred in an amusing story in Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #33 (by Otto Binder, Curt Swan and Ray Burnley), where Jimmy Olsen appeared on a popular TV game show. The show was watched live by over 60 million viewers. The category that Jimmy was answering had to do with mythological creatures.

As it turned out, lightning had struck a nuclear dump and created a special prism that was powered by the imagination of the viewers on the show. So when Jimmy gave an answer about one of those mythological creatures, the prism would turn them into physical beings. So Jimmy and the viewers made Jack Frost a reality. Superman had to stop Frost from starting a new Ice Age, so Superman simply flew into the sun and moved it closer to Earth, forcing Jack Frost to run away from the heat. Yes, to make Jack Frost run away, Superman moved the sun closer to Earth!

In JLA #77, Rick Veitch, Daryl Banks and Wayne Faucher did a fill-in issue of the series that introduced a powerful new villain called Mnemon. Mnemon was an artificial being who was created by a scientist on a distant world who believed that the best thing about any given world is its memories, so he built a being who could collect the memories of the world. However, since he was built to value memories above everything else, Mnemon soon turned on his own creator and destroyed their world after collecting all of their memories.

Superman’s body was almost torn apart while he held it together.

He would continue to do this to other planets until he encountered the Justice League. He fought against them by stealing the memories of how their powers worked or, in the case of Batman, his memories of how to speak. Firestorm thought that he had succeeded in destroying Mnemon, but he only unleashed Mnemon’s power source, a miniature black hole! Superman used his hands to contain the black hole, but the force was insane, as Superman’s body was almost torn apart while he held it together. Green Lantern enclosed his hands in a force field and they transported the black hole to a safe place in the galaxy to unleash it into a wormhole created by Green Lantern.

As we know, Superman’s powers come from the fact that he lives on Earth. Back on Krypton, he would be an ordinary person. However, what has changed over the years is the reason why Superman gained powers from being on Earth. Currently, it is because of Earth’s yellow sun that charges Superman like a solar battery, while the red sun of Krypton had no such effect on Kryptonians. Previously, though, the reason for the change was the difference in the atmosphere of Earth versus Krypton. In Superman #58 (by artists Wayne Boring and Stan Kaye), they played with that notion by having an Earth baby rocketed to a planet with a weaker atmosphere than Earth, so this little kid grew up to become Regor, the equivalent of Superman on the constantly cold planet Uuz!

Regor, though, was driven from his home by a new villain on Uuz who figured out a way of countering Regor’s powers. He landed on Earth and met Superman. The Man of Steel agreed to train him to make him stronger and then return with him to Uuz. After they defeated the bad guys together, Superman then smashed some moons together and formed a sun to warm up their chilly planet!

Generally speaking, we are keeping our list to feats performed by Superman, but we have to make an exception for this one feat that Superman performed when he was younger. While we prefer not to use Superboy feats, the fact of the matter is that Superboy is Superman, just younger, so it really should count. In any event, this feat from Superboy #140 is especially amazing due to how it was presented in the story.

Talk about treating amazing feats like they were just commonplace!

The story (written by Jim Shooter and drawn by Al Plastino and George Klein) is about a gambler who begins an operation in Smallville where he creates threats and then has underworld figures bet on how Superboy will stop them. For example, will Superboy figure out which vial has a deadly contagion in it before the vials explode and engulf Smallville? Plus, of course, you could bet on which of the vials has the contagion in it. That doesn’t sound like the sort of thing to involve a whole galaxy being moved, right? That’s because it is just what Superboy is up to at the start of the issue while the gambler arrives. Yes, that’s right, Superboy moving an entire galaxy of planets was just a throwaway bit at the opening of an otherwise unrelated story!

There is a certain trope called “Superdickery,” which refers to the fact that Superman stories in the Silver Age were often designed so that it would seem like Superman is a total jerk, until the readers discovered that there is a very good reason for why he is doing what he is doing. These stories would result in striking covers that would practically dare readers to pass the issue over. “Why is Superman killing Aquaman and Jimmy Olsen? Why is he burning Batman at the stake?”

One of the most notable examples of this trend was Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #33 (by Otto Binder, Curt Swan and Ray Burnley), which saw Superman decide to adopt Jimmy Olsen and then, abruptly, become so cruel to him that Jimmy asked a judge to void the adoption. Superman then explained to Jimmy that a computer had made the prediction that Superman would destroy his son, so he wanted to save Jimmy’s life. Why he didn’t tell Jimmy about this is a great question, but as it turned out, Superman misheard the computer. It was referencing his “sun,” as Superman had recently created a sun for a solar system to help the planets there after their original sun died out. The new sun was malfunctioning, so Superman had to destroy it and replace it with a new one. Superman destroys and replaces suns like it is no big deal!

This list is generally about feats of sheer physical strength, but there are interesting areas of Superman’s history where it is unclear, exactly, how you would classify a certain act. For instance, if Superman used his heat vision to tremendous effect, you wouldn’t consider that a feat of strength. Similarly, when Superman flies so fast that he travels through time, that’s amazing, but it’s not really a feat of strength. Where, though, do you classify super-sneezes? We think that it is enough of a gray area that we couldn’t bring ourselves to pass up one of the most shocking feats in Superman’s history.

Even for the Silver Age Superman power level, this was crazy!

In Action Comics #273 (by Jerry Siegel and Al Plastino), Superman grows so sick of Mister Mxyzptlk’s stunts that he decides to travel to Mxy’s dimension and give the mischievous imp a taste of his own medicine by pulling a number of the same pranks that Mxy would play on Superman! The prank by Mxyzptlk that drove Superman to this drastic course of action was creating a bunch of super-powerful sneezing powder and so Superman had to unleash a super-sneeze. The Man of Steel knew that would be devastating, so he flew to a solar system that was uninhabited and then destroyed the entire solar system with a sneeze!

The fascinating thing about Superman’s feat in World’s Finest Comics #208 (by Len Wein, Dick Dillin and Joe Giella, with a stunning Neal Adams cover that we used for the featured image for this entry) is how Superman was disappointed in himself over it! The issue opened with Superman noting that his vulnerability to magic was beginning to cause a problem for him, so he sought out some of his magic-using friends to see if they could make him invulnerable to magic. Zatanna could not do it, but she sent Superman to see Doctor Fate on Earth-2. Doctor Fate actually was willing to help him, but first he wanted Superman’s help against a new group of villains.

These magical villains had begun to push the continents on Earth-2 together, with the idea that when the continents finished colliding, they would unleash a great power that the villains could absorb and make them omnipotent. Superman helped Doctor Fate stop them and then Fate gave Superman some magical chains to drag the continents back to their normal place. Here’s the thing, though — Superman had recently lost a sizeable chunk of his power as part of a quasi-reboot of the character when editor Julius Schwartz took over the Superman titles, sort of like how Schwartz had Batman change his costume when he took those titles over. So Superman was disappointed that he could “only” drag the planets around, as he was used to being able to move planets easily.

Superman #220 (by Jim Shooter, Curt Swan and George Roussos) was an odd comic book. Most of the issue involved Superman and Flash suffering from amnesia. Since they were wearing each other’s costumes for some reason, they convinced themselves that they were each other. The Flash created a special Clark Kent mask to deal with the fact that Barry Allen obviously didn’t look like Clark. Superman just remains in the Flash costume during the whole issue.

The seed was about to hit Earth when Superman smashed himself into the planet.

When they finally met up with each other, they slowly regained their memory. They had set off to stop an evil alien race that had shot a special giant seed that was going to land on Earth and quickly grow into a giant plant that would slowly destroy the planet. Superman came up with the costume switch idea because his costume could protect Flash in outer space (because it was indestructible). They were defeated by the aliens, who then gave them amnesia so that they couldn’t try to stop them again. The seed was about to hit Earth when Superman smashed himself into the planet enough that he moved it out of the path of the seed, which instead landed in the sun and was destroyed!

During the crossover event, Our Worlds at War, the whole universe was at risk when the dreaded Imperiex, a giant being with a powerful suit of armor, sought out the destruction of the universe itself because he saw a flaw in the universe that he wanted to fix by creating a new “big bang.” He had to destroy Earth to do so, because Earth is apparently the center of the DC Universe following the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Imperiex would send powerful probes that would destroy whole worlds ahead of Imperiex’s journey to Earth. In some instances, he would destroy entire galaxies in a similar way that he planned to destroy the universe.

Ultimately, the combined forces of Apokolips, Earth and Brainiac’s gigantic Warworld managed to defeat Imperiex. Brainiac-13 then betrayed his allies and absorbed Imperiex’s powers for himself. Superman could not let this stand. He had just been super-charged by a visit to the sun so Superman managed to somehow lift Warworld itself, a planet that dwarfed both Earth and Apokolips and sent it and Imperiex back in time to the original big bang. It was there that Imperiex realized that the flaw he saw was actually his own presence at the first big bang!
During the crossover “Sacrifice,” we learned that Maxwell Lord had slowly been expanding his mental powers to the point where he was able to take control of Superman’s mind. He would cause Superman to see hallucinations of Darkseid, Doomsday and other villains killing Lois Lane. This led to Superman being willing to use methods that he normally would never use, like lethal force. Lord finally unleashed his secret weapon when Batman was getting close to uncovering Lord’s plans, so Superman nearly killed Batman. The only thing saving the Dark Knight was the Justice League’s defense system realizing that Superman was a threat, so they attacked him long enough for the rest of the Justice League to show up and rescue Batman. Superman then turned on the rest of the League.

His strength was so much that he was able to break through John Stewart’s force field easily!

Later, when DC’s continuity was rebooted with the New 52, we saw the first meeting of Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Superman in Justice League #2 (by Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Scott Williams) and Superman easily destroyed Hal Jordan’s ring constructs, just as easily as he destroyed John Stewart’s constructs earlier.

After the power-draining villain, the Parasite, debuted, he tried to absorb all of Superman’s powers. However, he learned that only a Kryptonian like Superman could handle those powers, so it overcharged him and he was defeated. When he attacked Superman in a story in Superman #320-322 (by Martin Pasko, Curt Swan and Frank Chiaramonte), Parasite came up with a clever way to defeat Superman. First, he made Superman think that his powers had increased to dramatic levels. He tricked Superman into artificially reducing his powers through a sort of “red sun cream” he put on his body. Superman thought that he was bringing himself back to his normal levels, but in reality he had dampened his powers to half of his normal levels.

With Superman’s powers now reduced, Parasite safely absorbed most of them without it negatively affecting him. Superman almost died, but he survived and once he removed the cream, he was back to half his normal power level. He then used the sun to charge himself up. He was only at 75%, though, when Parasite launched a laser attack on Metropolis from outer space! Even at his reduced levels, Superman was able to move the Earth so that it was out of the beam of the satellite!

During the 1950s, a common theme in the Superman titles was that they would introduce more and more “super” characters. There was Supergirl, Superman’s dog Krypto, Supergirl’s cat Streaky, Supergirl’s horse Comet, and then, there was, of course, Titano the Super-Ape! Introduced in Superman #127 (by Otto Binder, Wayne Boring and Stan Kaye), Titano began life as Toto, a highly intelligent chimp who befriended Lois Lane. He was sent into outer space for an experiment but his capsule was exposed to strange radiation from a collision between two meteors.

When his capsule landed, Toto mutated into a giant super-ape, now dubbed Titano.

The major problem with Titano is that he somehow also developed the ability to shoot kryptonite rays out of his eyes, which meant that Superman couldn’t even come close to him! The army planned to just kill him. However, Lois came up with a plan that tricked Titano into putting on lead-covered glasses. This allowed Superman to then throw him through time, back to the pre-historic era, where he could interact with dinosaurs. Yes, Superman is so strong that he can literally throw things threw time! He’s also thrown Jimmy Olsen through time before, but that was less impressive than throwing a giant super-ape, we think you’ll agree.

Before Grant Morrison’s JLA run began, there was first a miniseries by Mark Waid, Fabian Nicieza, Darick Robertson and Jeff Johnson that established why the “Big Seven” formed, as they were the only heroes to break free of a spell created by the villainous Know Man. It gave superpowers to a bunch of people on Earth while erasing their knowledge of any previous heroes. When they defeated Know Man, he mentioned that he was trying to prepare Earth against a future threat. That threat turned out to be Mageddon, a giant sentient machine of destruction that made the sun look like a tennis ball.

It had been behind the destruction of the Old Gods that predated the New Gods and it was now on its way to destroy Earth. It first poisoned people’s minds ahead of its arrival, to make the populace weakened. It sort of broke Superman’s mind, while at the same time, forcing him to move the chains that caused the long-dead cogs of Mageddon to move. So Superman helped move a machine that was many times larger than the sun. Later, Superman absorbed the anti-sun energy powering Mageddon and used it to destroy him, along with the people of Earth, who the Justice League had temporarily empowered, as they remembered Know Man’s earlier strategy.
Years before he helped re-define Lex Luthor as a villainous man of industry, Marv Wolfman had done the same basic idea with Vandal Savage in the pages of his Action Comics run. The immortal villain had positioned himself as a titan of industry and fought against Superman from being a boardroom, using public relations to sometimes turn the people of Metropolis against the Man of Steel. One of his plots involved using these mysterious power pyramids that had popped up around the Earth to trick the public into thinking that Superman was working against the Earth.

Superman fought his way through the big bang itself to fix time, itself!

Savage put a bunch of spores onto Superman that would spread throughout Metropolis, causing prehistoric plants to grow quickly and engulf the city, with Superman getting the blame. Superman figured it out and burned the spores away. They then learned that one of the power pyramids was loose in time, set at the big bang itself! It was wreaking havoc with time, so Rip Hunter took Superman back in time in Action Comics #553 (by Wolfman and artist Gil Kane) and Superman fought his way through the big bang itself to destroy the pyramid and fix time! Since we saw that the big bang could destroy Imperiex and Warworld, that was quite a feat!

For many years, one of the most common types of Superman stories was about Lois Lane trying to prove that Clark Kent was secretly Superman. In Superman #110 (a story by a mystery writer with art by Ruben Moreira and Al Plastino), Superman learned that there was another person out there suffering from the same problem! You see, Superman had visited the town of Highville in the past and he dropped a note that he had written to himself and a local man named Hal had picked it up. People saw him with it and assumed that he was Superman.

Hal decided to add some chemicals to a volcano nearby that would shake the town enough to bring out those who lived there into the street. He assumed that they would all see Superman fly out to save the day and know that Hal was not Superman. However, the chemicals he used accidentally activated the volcano. Superman has to save the day, but Clark Kent and Lois Lane were in the town on assignment, so Superman had to also prove that Clark Kent isn’t Superman. So Superman grabbed a man suffering from amnesia and put makeup on him to make him look like Clark Kent and then flew into outer space and threw a planet past Earth so that it would cause an eclipse precisely at the time that “Clark” would be outside and Superman was saving the volcano. As you can see, this was a weird and really confusing story.

In the early 1970s, college student Elliot Maggin got his first story published by DC Comics. He was given the chance to pitch other story ideas. If this failed, he probably wouldn’t have a future at DC Comics. He had a few ideas of his own, but when having dinner with a family friend, he talked with their teenage son and the kid came up with a great idea. Maggin did his pitch and DC passed on all of his ideas. So he used the idea that the kid had suggested and they loved it. Maggin then went on to write for DC for the next decade. That kid? A young Jeph Loeb!

That story became “Must There Be a Superman?” from Superman #247 (art by Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson), which saw the Guardians causing Superman to question whether he was hurting the development of Earth by causing them to rely on him to solve their problems. People forget, though, how Superman got to that point in the story. You see, he had to stop a dangerous pod of spores despite it being next to a red sun. So he formed a planet to block it. He did all of this despite being weakened by the red sun! It was an amazing display of strength, which left him nearly dead when he finished. The Guardians rescued him and then made him question his role on Earth.

An interesting addition to the Fourth World mythology that was not actually part of Jack Kirby’s original stories was the idea of the Source Wall. Kirby had noted that there was a “final barrier” keeping us from the Source, the sort of supernatural unifying force of the universe (some people think George Lucas was inspired by the Source to create the Force). The actual wall was not introduced until Walter Simonson and Chris Claremont featured it in the Uncanny X-Men/New Teen Titans crossover that they did together. In any event, the idea of the Source Wall is that anyone who tried to pass through it to get to the Source itself are trapped in the wall and cannot escape.

Superman managed to pull out the staff from a wall that had trapped old and new gods alike for generations!

In the Superman/Batman storyline, “Torment,” by writer Alan Burnett and artists Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, DeSaad helps free Darkseid from the Source Wall by first taking control of Superman’s mind via a partnership with the Batman villain, Scarecrow, and his mind-altering drugs. DeSaad sent Superman to the Source Wall to free Highfather’s staff from the Wall so that DeSaad could use it to free Darkseid.
Superman has even been able to beat powerful guys like: Wonder Woman, Shazam, Green lantern, Doomsday, and Darkseid. The Conqueror’s Haki may hurt Superman but it won’t finish him off. And Goku’s Kamehameha could hurt Superman but it won’t finish him and also in Justice League: War Green Lantern and Batman fight Superman but neither of them stood a chance against him. We all know Superman would have easily crush Batman if it wasn’t for the Kryptonite. Luffy can’t beat someone like Superman and Goku can only beat Superman with MUI. Superman is way more powerful than you thought.

Spiderman’s spider sense can only warn him of surprise attacks but not every attack. Remember that even though Spiderman can dodge bullets he doesn’t react to everything in time. He has been hitted by many enemies and even slow guys like Kingpin and Rhino and also Rhino defeated Spiderman while Bowser is able to keep up with Culex. Bowser is way too tough and strong for Spiderman and also Bowser has magic in his side. He could turn Spiderman into a brick and he has Giga Bowser that would end Spidey quickly. Spidey isn’t ready for this.

      • Trust me, I’m one of Superman’s biggest fans and know all about the guy. His powers are pretty impressive but that wouldn’t be enough here. The Conqueror’s Haki was even able to make Akainu take notice. Superman wouldn’t last a minute there. The Kamehameha would definitely finish Superman considering he got one shot KO’d by the Tripod in episode 1 of Justice League. Superman’s not getting up from that. I still do say that Superman is absolutely the strongest comic book character in existence though so I would agree to that part.

Spider Sense warns him of all attacks. It’s true that he can’t react to all of them but he is given warnings for each and every one of them. Bowser isn’t fast enough to sneak in any blows which is why ultimately I would say that he is doomed in this round. Spidey would be taking him to the cleaners in this fight

  26. STRENGTH

    Striking:

superman can destroy a planet with a punch
he can destroy a star with a punch he beat the anti monitor and later it declare by a official blog that he can with this punch destroy a star

he can do the IMP with the IMP can he increase infinite and destroy everything but in near light speed he can destroy a solar system

superman destroy the body and cape of phantom stranger his body are invulnerable and his cape indestructible also superman hit him and he bleeding

phantom stranger are on the lvl with spectre

superman destroy the body of emperor joker who have the power of Mr.MXY and are universal and more he destroy the universe with laughing

and later the spectre say superman destroy with this punch not only the universe but all

that exist and in the future exist everything

superman flew trough a nigh omnipotent soul fire darkseid who has the power of the source which means infinite and superman breaks his body he are literally

    multiversal

superman hit god brainiac so hard that other version in the multiverse felt that punch and that this brainiac have multiversal durability and than destroy him

superman shattered the boundaries of space and time

    superman shattered time lines

    superman destroy a dimension

superman destroy infinite barriers and beat death and trough space and time

    Superman destroy infinite dimensions

    Lifting strength

Superman lift eternity by time you see there goes a green light to WW and supes means he lift him by time means infinite weight

also spectre crash on earth with incredible speed from the orbit

and gl lift him at the end but he can do this because he have unlimited power

    Superman lift infinite.
Goku can only beat Superman with MUI and Luffy wouldn´t be able to defeat him.

The Spider sense doesn´t warn Spidey of everything. If it would he could be able to dodge any type of attack but it can´t.

    • Those strength feats for Superman are impressive I’ll agree to that. It’s just not going to be enough against Goku and Luffy though. They have fought guys like Nappa and Enel. Superman isn’t ready for this.

Spider Sense is always active and reacts to everything. Spidey just doesn’t dodge some things because he couldn’t move fast enough but he’s always alerted. Bowser wouldn’t be able to keep up with Spiderman which is why this goes to the comic book hero. Spiderman would be throwing hands here

      • Oh, those feats are definitely impressive and that proves that Goku would need MUI to beat the Man of Steel. Superman has been able to defeat Darkseid and Doomsday who are obviously more stronger than Nappa and Enel. Luffy wouldn’t hope to defeat Superman and Goku would need MUI for this.

Spider Sense may react to an attack but sometimes Spidey doesn’t react to the attack on time. He has been hitted a lot of times by villains so that means he isn’t untouchable. It’s just a matter of time Bowser hits him.

      • The feats are super impressive but nothing Goku can’t handle. Goku’s been beating people for ages and gotten exponentially stronger with each arc. There’s nothing Superman can really do to challenge him. Goku still has the edge in both speed and attack, same with Luffy.

Yeah so Spider Sense doesn’t mean he will dodge all of the attacks but for someone like Bowser it’ll be enough. In a 1 on 1 fight he can’t count on any distractions or such to help him so Spider-Man will be zipping in and out of his combat range pretty easy

  27. How can you think that someone who literally has been able to break reality could lose to Base Goku? Superman is someone unbelievably powerful and obviously Goku would need to use his full power to defeat him. Superman is way faster too than Luffy. The guy has been able to match Flash´s speed like nothing. MUI would beat Superman but the other forms not. Superman has unlimited strength while Goku still has limits.

Spiderman hasn´t reacted in time to attacks of Rhino and Kingpin who are very slow so that means Bowser would be able to hit him. Bowser is able to keep up with Culex. Bowser is way too tough and strong for Spiderman and also Bowser has magic in his side. He could turn Spiderman into a brick and he has Giga Bowser that would end Spidey quickly. Spidey isn’t ready for this.

    • Base Goku can do that too. Remember that Super Buu tore a hole in reality by yelling and Base Goku is stronger than him. Goku’s been getting massively stronger with each arc to the point where his base form is stronger than the old SSJ3. That’s why Goku would crush him in this round. Same with Luffy.

As for Spiderman, he tends to joke around a lot so he gets hit but if he’s being serious then Bowser is really doomed here. He just won’t be able to keep up and will ultimately fall down the chains when it counts. Bowser will end up getting crushed

      • Making a hole to another universe by yelling is impressive but not impressive as breaking reality and able to move a planet. Superman has fought Darkseid who is way more powerful than Super Buu.
        Striking:

superman can destroy a planet with a punch
he can destroy a star with a punch he beat the anti monitor and later it declare by a official blog that he can with this punch destroy a star

he can do the IMP with the IMP can he increase infinite and destroy everything but in near light speed he can destroy a solar system

superman destroy the body and cape of phantom stranger his body are invulnerable and his cape indestructible also superman hit him and he bleeding

phantom stranger are on the lvl with spectre

superman destroy the body of emperor joker who have the power of Mr.MXY and are universal and more he destroy the universe with laughing

and later the spectre say superman destroy with this punch not only the universe but all

that exist and in the future exist everything

superman flew trough a nigh omnipotent soul fire darkseid who has the power of the source which means infinite and superman breaks his body he are literally

        multiversal

superman hit god brainiac so hard that other version in the multiverse felt that punch and that this brainiac have multiversal durability and than destroy him

superman shattered the boundaries of space and time

        superman shattered time lines

        superman destroy a dimension

superman destroy infinite barriers and beat death and trough space and time

        Superman destroy infinite dimensions

means at the end superman have infinite striking strength

        Lifting strength

Superman lift eternity by time you see there goes a green light to WW and supes means he lift him by time means infinite weight

also spectre crash on earth with incredible speed from the orbit

and gl lift him at the end but he can do this because he have unlimited power

        Superman lift infinite.
How can you hope Base Goku can beat someone like that? Goku may be a powerful warrior but no way that he can beat Superman with his base form. Even Death Battle who are very smart researchers have said that Superman is on a whole different level than Goku and that his powers are limitless while Goku will always have his limits. Only MUI can beat Superman and Luffy can’t hope to beat The Man of Steel.

Ok, you clearly don’t know anything about the things Bowser has done in the past. I don’t even know where to start about the impressive feats he has done .
Strength: Able to pull an island and cause earthquakes, stop a train, pull out a giant carrot, push a giant statue while there are many people pushing it too, lift a giant cannon ball and throw it at a long distance, and lift and throw his own castle. Boy, Bowser is almost as strong as The Hulk itself!
Durability: Able to take: Lava, fall to the sun, being stomp many times by robots and castles, being crashed by a train, able to take his entire castle fall to him, able to fall to the sun and a star, can take a supernova, take hits from Culex, resist a black hole, and the Big Bang.
Intelligence: While Bowser prefers fist over brain,he is actually VERY smart,he stated having a IQ of 9800 in mario party advance! 9800 is HUGE!! He also proved it,he made many robots, laser shooting clown cars,a giant mech of himself and even entire space stations! And Neo Bowser city is a proof of Bowser’s technology and intelligence.
Abilities: Bowser can create earthquakes by jumping and shockwaves by doing the same,he can enter in his shell, which is as durable as he is,however,it never even got a scratch! Black holes? Stars? Piece of cake! This shell is nearly unbreakable, and he can even spin on it to attack people while being completely protected. He can also control fire,he can breath fire, fireballs, fire lasers and much more! He can even put his fist and tail on fire to attack. He can also use magic, turning people into bricks by throwing electricity/beams,he can control gravity, time travel, create black holes, create realms, teleport, create portals, become giant Bowser and even create his OWN UNIVERSE!
Power:Bowser created a supermassive black hole by roaring in mario party 9,to create a black hole THAT big, you’d need to blow up a STAR,meaning Bowser can just roar hard enough to blow up stars! In another mario party game, his roars could make islands sink! And in mario party 5,Bowser was powerful enough to CREATE HIS OWN UNIVERSE!
But giant Bowser is even stronger, that Bowser outran a black hole in inside story, making him MFTL,and he was also strong enough to LAUNCH HIMSELF OUT OF THAT BLACK HOLE!
No way Spiderman can beat a powerful being like Bowser!
Bowser could easily beat him even with his base form and even though it wouldn’t be necessary he could just turn into Giga Bowser or Giant Bowser and then crush Spiderman like if he was a spider (Literally).
You have no idea how powerful the Koopa King is.

      • I’ve played almost all of the Mario games and I can tell you that Bowser is completely out of his league here. Knuckles is too fast and same with Spiderman. His spider sense is so good that nobody can hit him.

As for Superman vs Goku. Goku outranks him in every physical stat so that’s why he would have the edge here. Goku can just blast away at Superman with the Kamehameha wave and be done with it. Energy attacks like that are just too much for the Man of Steel.
