Suggested by Sonic Black Bolt is very powerful but I’ve always considered Nova to be one of the most powerful Marvel fighters out there. This guy was a beast in combat and his power set is perfect for battles. He has strength, defense, flight, energy projection, etc. Black Bolt is really reliant on his voice and that won’t help when he’s fighting an FTL fighter who can launch lasers from anywhere. Bolt will just be doomed here. Nova wins.

Black Canary vs Black Bolt

Suggested by JordyPresto0418 Black Canary and Black Bolt both have powerful vocal abilities. That said, they are in completely different leagues. Bolt is said to be able to destroy entire planets with his voice. Canary is skilled but she certainly can’t do that, it’s hard to imagine knocking out a city with her voice. Her hand to hand abilities are impressive but Black Bolt’s simply a lot stronger so that wouldn’t do her any good either. While their abilities are similar, the scale is just too different for this to end up being a close fight. Black Bolt wins.

Black Bolt vs Medusa (FF)

Now Black Bolt is facing off against Medusa! Medusa is one of the most loyal members of the Inhumans and recently she has inherited Black Bolt’s arrogance towards the humans. I have never found her abilities to be very impressive though and they are definitely no match for Black Bolt’s. One word would likely be enough to end the match. Black Bolt wins.

Black Bolt vs Gladiator

Now Black Bolt is facing an opponent who is really in the same weight class. Both of these fighters have battled powerful opponents. Looking at their fights against Thor as an example, we can see who wins this round. Of course, that’s not really how I would judge the match, but I still believe that Gladiator would be able to win. He can overwhelm Black Bolt with his speed and his defense is high enough that he would likely be able to withstand Black Bolt’s vocal attacks. Gladiator is pretty underrated compared to his rivals in Hyperion and Sentry. He may not be quite as powerful as those two..maybe, but he’s still a very powerful fighter. Gladiator wins.

Crystal is a powerful elemental fighter, but she won’t be able to defeat Black Bolt. Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans because he is the most powerful and it is by a pretty large margin. He can augment his physical strength or he can defeat her from a distance with his voice. Either method works and she really has no defense against these abilities. Black Bolt wins.

Star Lord has had it pretty rough these last few days and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better. He would go down in a single shot to Black Bolt. These two really aren’t in the same league at this point in time and Star Lord’s gun just won’t cut it. Black Bolt just needs to say the word and Star Lord will be down for the count. A solid punch will do the trick as well. Black Bolt wins.

Update! Star Lord got some extra power when he got a gem in a recent comic and he was even able to take Thanos down. I’m not sure if I agree with the outcome, but his extra powers definitely score him the win here. Star Lord wins.

Black Bolt is back, but now he’s up against Thor the Thunderer! Black Bolt’s sonic abilities have been shown to carry a great risk to Black Bolt. If the object on his forehead is destroyed, then his abilities go out of control and deal great damage to him. That’s how Thor won when they clashed in the comics. I do not believe that Thor would need to resort to breaking the object though, as his power is enough for him to clash with Black Bolt on equal grounds. Black Bolt’s sonic abilities can shatter planets, but so can Thor’s god blast. Thor’s got the edge in firepower. Thor wins.

It’s time for Black Bolt to finally make his debut on the blog! It’s pretty good timing since it seems like the Inhumans film is coming out after all, but Marvel still has time to quickly make a deal with DC to replace it with a Shazam vs Black Bolt film! Until then, we need to see what Black Bolt can do. He’s fairly powerful and while I don’t really care for him…at all, I will admit that he’s skilled. I definitely don’t think that he’s as powerful as the comics would suggest, but he is skilled enough to give the Hulk a good fight. (Seriously, the comics made the Sentry openly fear Black Bolt and then the Beyonder couldn’t speak up against him either…too much hype folks) I’d say that he has the edge against Ronan since he’s a lot more mobile and it’s really hard to dodge his vocal abilities. Those definitely have a pretty huge range! Black Bolt wins.
