Zanya Kisaragi vs Magoroku Shido

unnamed (3)
Suggested by Sonic Zanya Kisaragi is a fairly skilled Buddyfighter who even has his own Omni Lord. The collections of spells and monsters that he has is formidable, but I don’t think it will be enough to match Shido. Shido has many monsters of his own thanks to the fact that he fought in many duels during season 2 and kept switching up his deck. The fodder don’t amount to a whole lot, but he got quite a few size 3 monsters which would be enough to overwhelm Zanya’s Omni Lord and secure the victory. It’s not an easy win, but one that I think Shido should have rather handily. Magoroku Shido wins.

Zanya Kisaragi vs Rouga Aragami

unnamed
Suggested by Sonic This is actually a reasonably close battle as both fighters got themselves an Omni Lord. Rouga’s is more powerful but the gap isn’t all that big. I’m also inclined to believe that Rouga would be able to beat Zanya in a close quarters duel. Zanya has the better spells and trap cards, but Rouga’s army of monsters is superior. I do think that Tsukikage would cause a lot of damage to Rouga’s ranks before going down, but in the end Zanya will be unable to avoid a narrow defeat. This is simply one Buddyfight that he won’t be able to win. Rouga Aragami wins.

Stein Blade Joker vs Zanya Kisaragi

unnamed (4)
Suggested by Sonic Stein Blade Joker is a decently strong buddy since he has his dark mode as well as his ice abilities. Still, it won’t be enough to defeat an opponent as experienced as Zanya. Zanya once had 2 ninjas at his disposal but now he can top that by fusing them into a new ninja legend. Stein Blade would probably lose to this guy in 1 on 1 combat so you can imagine how lopsided the fight would be once Zanya calls in all of his other monsters to come and help. Zanya Kisaragi wins.

Kanahebi vs Zanya Kisaragi

unnamed
Suggested by Sonic Kanahebi is a ninja who takes his career seriously but he never became all that much of a threat in the series. Zanya may not be a top tier threat at the moment but I do think he could handle this guy rather easily if they were to have a rematch. Zanya is just more experienced and has the better cards. It’s hard to get past that. Zanya wins.

Duel Sieger vs Zanya Kisaragi

unnamed (4)
Suggested by Sonic Duel Sieger is a very powerful monster. He is one of the toughest of them all and has multiple super forms as well. Couple this with the fact that Zanya isn’t one of the strongest fighters anymore and we have quite the match. It’s a fairly difficult one that could go either on way. The question is, Can Zanya’s array of weaker ninja monsters handle this Behemoth? I’m going to have to lean on No for that one. None of his cards have ever looked all that impressive and he doesn’t even have a great final phase card. I think he needs a power up. Duel Sieger wins.

Zanya Kisaragi vs Jin Magatsu

unnamed (2)
Suggested by Sonic Zanya may have effectively given up on the game of Buddyfight but that doesn’t mean that he has lost his skills. Jin was never quite as good as Zanya although he came in handy once in a while. Both characters were phased out of the show but I could at least see Zanya returning one of these days. His ninja cards come with a lot of tricks and are generally stronger than Jin’d counterparts. Throw in the fact that Zanya is the better human fighter as well and it’s no contest. Zanya wins.

Zanya Kisaragi vs Luffy

This is a tribute to One Piece Film: Gold. Luffy may not have looked all that tough this time around, but he scored the win when it counted and was as determined as ever. Zanya could use some of that determination as he’s all but quit Buddyfight lately. He really needs to put in the work if he wants to continue to get stronger as a duelist and he’ll need to get much stronger to take Luffy down. Right now, Zanya would lose almost as soon as the match has begun and none of his cards are strong enough to take this rubber man down. Luffy wins.

Zanya Kisaragi vs Totsuo Doai

unnamed
Suggested by Sonic It’s a double debut in this match. Doai is fairly skilled as he managed to become the second in command of one of the fiercest Buddyfight Schools on the planet. That being said, it won’t be enough to stop Zanya. Zanya was one of the strongest Buddyfighters in the first season and his skills have long since surpassed Doai’s. While neither one of them have been relevant in the show for a while, it’s clear who the victor here is. Zanya would also win if it came down to a hand to hand fight.
