Noctis is going to be the main character of the upcoming Final Fantasy XV game. It’s safe to say that his powers will be quite formidable and he will likely gain the usual array of magical abilities that the lead fighter usually possesses. That being said, it’s hard to picture him being able to keep up with Cloud’s speed. In Advent Children, Cloud was able to keep up with 3 different opponents at once and all of them possessed varying degrees of super speed. Maybe he’ll wind up surprising me, but while Noctis may be one of the strongest protagonists yet, he won’t end up being The strongest. Cloud wins.
Bahamuts are some of the most iconic figures in all of Final Fantasy. There has been a Bahamut in just about every title in the franchise. Like Goombas, they come in many different forms. This one in particular was fairly strong in FF VII, but still no match for Cloud in the end. Can a summon ever truly surpass the master? Cloud easily has the speed advantage here and we also can’t forget that his Limit Break is a game changer. It’s hard to picture Bahamut getting around these disadvantages and this will be a complete loss. Cloud wins.
Cloud is a very powerful swordsman and he’s been winning quite a few battles lately. Marth won’t go down easily and his reaction times are certainly impressive, but Cloud still has the edge in raw speed as well as attack options. Cloud’s materia based summons and elemental magics really give him a combat boost here since he can afford to space Marth out and attack from afar. Marth doesn’t have the speed to make up for that. Cloud wins.
Never underestimate Weegee power. That’s why he’s always been such a strong foe. That being said Luigi won’t be able to keep up with Cloud in terms of speed or power.Green Fireballs are great, but Cloud can simply slice and dice his way through all of them. It’ll be too hard for Luigi to try to get in on Cloud and he’ll have to settle for the loss. Cloud can afford to fight up close or afar and he would win either way. Cloud wins.
Link continues to grow stronger throughout the Legend of Zelda series and was most impressive in Hyrule Warriors. That being said, Cloud is no slouch in the power department and I’d consider him to be on a higher level than the Hero of Time. In Advent Children, we saw that Cloud is able to fight against 3 high level opponents at once while in a poisoned, weakened state. This says a lot about Cloud’s quick thinking and experience in battle. I simply don’t see him losing to Link and now we know who the better swordfighter is! (Projectiles would give Cloud the win as well though) Cloud wins.
Villager really got popular thanks to being in the Super Smash Bros game and I will admit that I’m impressed that he got into the club. It’s always good to see a new fighter and while I don’t like to play as him, his moveset is strong. That being said, Cloud would definitely crush him in a fight. He’s faster, stronger, and has more attack options. There’s really no argument to be made for Villager (That I’m aware of) and Cloud would just need one high speed slice to end this. Cloud wins.
Cloud’s limit break turns an already formidable fighter into a terrifying one. There are very few fighters who can engage Cloud in close quarters combat so it’s good for Ursula that she is a long range combatant. Her energy attacks may hold Cloud back for a few moments, but Cloud has some nice shockwaves of his own and his speed is great enough for him to close the gap between them regardless of her attacks. Cloud will be able to get in and end the match with a quick slash. Cloud is truly powerful and joining the Super Smash team should increase his popularity. Cloud wins.
Cloud has his sword skills that he is very adept at using this to his advantage. Gemini Saga can fly and use this to his advantage. Cloud will not be able to keep up and Gemini Saga has more long range abilities at his disposal. Gemini Saga also may have the edge in speed and Cloud’s durability won’t be able to stop him. Cloud may have lost the day, but the war is not over! Gemini Saga wins.
Inuyasha is back, but now he’s up against the mighty Cloud! Cloud is a very impressive swordsman and he knows how to limit break. Inuyasha has some impressive abilities as well, but I’d say that Cloud is easily faster and their power levels are similar. The speed is definitely a deciding factor and Cloud should take this with his epic limit attack. Cloud wins.
Let’s face it..this match had to happen sooner or later! Cloud and Sephiroth are some of the greatest swordsmen of all time! They both have extremely high levels of speed. Their swordsmanship would also rank with the best of them. This is one battle that will go down to the wire, and now we’ll see who wins!
Well, I’d say that Sephiroth may…MAY have the slight edge in speed. It’s extremely close of course, but I think he may have it. Sadly for him, it’s by a pretty small margin so it doesn’t really matter much. Still, in a match like this any advantage helps at least a bit.
Of course, I would take Sephiroth in swordsmanship. His sword skills are second to none, and he always seems to be toying with Cloud. No matter how drastic the situation, you can’t help but feel like he’s not even trying. We’ll most likely never see him at his full power.
Cloud has a variety of swords that he can use and his shockwaves can be pretty deadly. He can even use the aura himself, but it may not be enough in this round. Sephiroth has his legendary Supernova which is incredibly powerful. Not even Cloud could probably make it out of too many of those.
Sephiroth can teleport and fly. Both of those abilities are incredibly useful. They both have other abilitiees to use as well, but I think you get the picture. I think that Sephiroth takes the edge in this round and wins it. This is a very close match, and if either character were to get a power up, the gap would widen or even be completely overturned. Sephiroth wins.
