This is a tribute to The Invisible Man! The Invisible Man is tough of course, but he is hopelessly outmatched against Bass. Bass is the strongest being in all of media and he doesn’t need to see his opponent to win a fight. He merely needs to power up and the entire island will be destroyed. Now that’s what I call a lot of power! The Invisible Man came close to winning his tribute match, but his ending was pretty sad. Bass wins.

William Cage vs Bass

This is a tribute to Edge of Tomorrow. William Cage is not a guy who wanted to become a fighter, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter and now he’s on the blog as well. If not for a select few scenes, he would actually be a pretty solid character. He still beats the average lead, but I ended up giving him the loss here. He didn’t have what it takes to avoid a confrontation with the blog’s king. Bass wins.

Charlene McGee vs Tsuna

This is a tribute to Firestarter. Charlene McGee has a pretty high level of ability within her, but it shall not be enough to defeat Tsuna. He can absorb any heat that she admits and he has a lot of battle experience as well. Charlene could have made a case for winning her tribute, but she didn’t see through the villains’ plans in time. At least we now have a possible planet buster from the 80s on the blog! Tsuna wins.

Deadshot vs Batman

This is a tribute to Assault on Arkham. Deadshot is actually a pretty good character for the most part, but I can’t say that he was very good in this film. He didn’t have his usual get up and he didn’t strike me as an epic character. Batman could easily defeat Deadshot since guns don’t scare him. Not to mention that Batman has a GL Power Ring as well. Batman wins.

Silver Surfer vs Hulk

This is a tribute to Ironman and Hulk: Heroes United. Hulk didn’t look as tough as you would expect him to look since minions quickly took him down for the count. He’s typically a lot stronger and one could even argue that he would crush the Silver Surfer in a fist fight. I wouldn’t deny that, but the Silver Surfer is a long range fighter and he would use his cosmic board to his advantage. The Hulk would have a hard time keeping up with this herald and the Surfer’s cosmic bolts would eventually defeat him. Silver Surfer wins.

This is a tribute to Chronicle. “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” This is a saying that has been proven to be correct on many occasions and we can add Andrew to the list. His abilities made him a serious fighter, but he decided to use it for destruction instead of for world peace. Well, Oga has obtained a great deal of power as well, but he always kept true to his ideals. Oga is just the more likable character here and he’s on a different level than Andrew. Oga surpasses him in speed and strength, which is enough to win this round. Oga Tatsumi wins.

James Marshall vs One Above All

This is a tribute to Air Force One. The One Above All may be a being who cannot be fully comprehended by most opponents, but that’s okay. James Marshall doesn’t have to understand the One Above All to defeat him in a fight. The classic three hit combo will be enough to take him down for the count. James Marshall also has a gun and he’s not afraid to use it. James Marshall wins.

April vs Nemo

This is a tribute to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. April did a pretty decent job repelling the flirting from her co worker and Michelangelo, which plays a large part in her winning the tribute match. She may not have done a good job of convincing the general public that there were monsters afoot, but I guess I’ll just have to say “better luck next time” and continue. Nemo is a bold fish, but April only needs one good kick to take the win. April wins.

John Anderton vs Bass

This is a tribute to Minority Report. John Anderton definitely wasn’t as hardcore as his counterpart from the video game and he would be no match for Bass. His bullets wouldn’t be able to get through Bass’ defenses and he’d really be fighting an uphill battle. Bass would be able to zip around the battlefield with ease as John tries to comprehend what is going on. Bass wins.

This is a tribute to Van Helsing. Van Helsing is a legendary vampire hunter and he known as the best of the best. After watching him get beaten up by a fairly average meta human…I had to take a few steps back. He wasn’t as legendary as his reputation would have you believe and that’s why he’s no match for Bass. Bass wins.
