Metal Sonic vs Sally

Mechasallyupgrade
Sally may have gotten mecha powers of her own, but that doesn’t mean that she can match up against someone as powerful as Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic has taken on beings as powerful as Sonic and Shadow in the past. There are few who can even give him a challenge on the planet. Sally lacks Metal Sonic’s speed and overall power. Metal Sonic wins.

Sonic vs Mega Man

sonic-and-mega-man-in-comic-book-crossover
This is one of those battles that make debating fun. I can easily root for either character since this match is so intense. Sonic is extremely fast and he outranks Mega Man in that category. Once Sonic activates his Darkspine form, things will get deadly for Mega Man. On the other hand, Mega Man has over 100 powers at his disposal and he’s no slouch in the speed department. He could easily take someone like Superman down, which shows how strong he is. Sonic has fought similar opponents to Mega Man on the blog already and this will mark his 3rd win against the Mega Man characters. Still, this is definitely a battle that I can see going either way. When two high tier opponents duke it out, things get exciting! Sonic’s speed and destructive power proved to be the difference in this round. Sonic wins.

Captain Whisker vs Sonic

SsWhisker3
Captain Whisker is back, but he won’t be able to stop Sonic. Sonic has the massive speed advantage in this round and he can also access the powers of the Chaos Emeralds. This is definitely not a good sign for Captain Whisker and he may be out of his league in this round. He just won’t be able to compete with this Blue Blur! Sonic wins.

Eggman vs Tails

320px-Tailsvseggmanii
Eggman and Tails have both built pretty impressive machines. Eggman has his Egg Emperor from Sonic Heroes, while Tails has his large jet from Sonic X and his armor vehicle from SA2B. Tails has an advantage in his Super Tails form, which should help him take the win. Eggman may have the stronger mechs, but they won’t be enough to overcome this disadvantage. Eggman takes a loss in this round. Tails wins.

Antoine vs Metal Sonic

Antoine234
Antoine has a sword, but swords don’t always win battles. Metal Sonic is far too quick for Antoine and one good blast should end this. Antoine won’t be able to penetrate his barrier and Metal Sonic’s punches can deal some intense damage. Metal Sonic is definitely crawling up the blog ranks with these wins. Metal Sonic wins.

Sonic vs Ben 10

Sonic-X-sonic-x-1463362-1280-960
Ben-10
Sonic is one of the faster guys out there. One good punch is all he would need to deal some serious damage to Ben 10. Ben 10 has a lot of transformations at his disposal, but they wouldn’t be able to take down Sonic, once he transformed into his Super Sonic form. Ben 10 takes a hard loss in this round. Sonic wins.

Sonic vs Mighty

MightyPuppet
Mighty is a pretty brave fighter, but he lacks the speed that Sonic has. Sonic is known as the Blue Blur and you can definitely see why. Even if they were both moving at the same speed, Sonic’s a better fighter. I just don’t think that Mighty could last in the ring against Sonic. Sonic has defeated far stronger opponents in the past. Sonic wins.

Metal Sonic vs Amy

amy_vs_metal_sonic_by_smsskullleader-d598zur
Amy is skilled with a hammer, but she doesn’t stand a chance against Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic can reach some pretty incredible speeds and he’s not the type of opponent who will go down so easily. Metal Sonic has taken on powerful opponents like Sonic in the past and he’s one of the strongest characters in the universe. Amy has a good amount of speed on her side, but it just won’t be enough. Metal Sonic wins.

Superman Prankster of Prime Time Review

9781434227638_p0_v1_s260x420

You’ve probably already seen some of my other Superman reviews in the past. So far, Superman’s books have been pretty fun and they keep things at a nice pace. The books are very short, but that just makes you wonder how much damage the villain will end up doing. The Prankster isn’t much of a fighter, so can he hold his own book!?

Well, the plot is that the Prankster has his own TV show. The TV Show is about pulling pranks on your friends and it’s supposed to all be in good fun. Has the Prankster turned over a new leaf? Surprisingly, Superman doesn’t give him the benefit of the doubt and thinks that he’s up to no good. Jimmy Olsen goes undercover to find out, (Which is a nice homage to the old comics) but can he get away with this!?

Well, that’s the plot in a nutshell. I’m afraid that Superman doesn’t look so good. Not only was he a little out of character near the beginning, but he was unable to track the signal that Jimmy tried to send him. It was short, but he definitely should have been able to track it. Not to mention that he let a crook get away towards the beginning. With his speed, I don’t think that should ever happen to Superman. Perry White looks pretty good and he makes sure to keep everyone in line.

I will give the book props since they used the Prankster. He’s hardly Superman’s most popular opponent and he’s decently obscure. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that he’s actually a good villain. I suppose that you can’t win them all, but this does bring in some hope for other obscure characters. (The Shadow Dragon maybe!?) Let’s just hope that the Prankster can think of some new pranks for his next appearance!

All in all, this was a decent Superman book. It was pretty short as per usual, but there wasn’t a really powerful villain involved. Superman never had to break a sweat and I thought that the ending was a little cheesy. Superman, (Completely in character since he loves to mock the villains back in the classic days) decides to pull a prank on the Prankster, so that he can add humiliation onto defeat. I recommend this book if you’ve always been a big fan of DC or if you just wan’t to read a fun book. Of course, if you want a true Superman book where he gets to fight, check out Superman’s battle against Cyborg Superman!

Overall 6/10

Tahu vs Gahlok Kal

Gahlok-Kal
tahunuvawallpaper
Gahlok Kal seems to be more of a defensive fighter, which can be good, but it won’t be enough. Tahu’s swords will be able to penetrate Gahlok Kal’s defensive field and then the match will be over. Gahlok Kal doesn’t have the speed or the resources to keep up with Tahu’s quick attacks for very long. Tahu also has a lot more battle experience. Tahu wins.
