Viewtiful Joe is a pretty quick fighter and his mach attacks are very useful in a battle, but he is a little out of his depth here. Not even Viewtiful Joe is fast enough to keep up with a Cell Jr and a single Kamehameha would vaporize the young superhero. Cell Jr may not look as powerful as some of the other DBZ villains, but he can still destroy a solar system with ease so you can’t count him out. Cell Jr wins.

Jigglypuff vs Pooka

Jigglypuff is back and she is ready for another solid victory. A Pooka can be a pretty tricky fellow to battle because of how they tend to explode if you fill them with too much air. Luckily, Jigglypuff can just fire off a good ole fashioned Hyper Beam, which may prevent this from happening. The Pooka will have lost and Jigglypuff can say that she won without breaking a sweat. It’s a win win situation! Jigglypuff wins.

Balerion the Black Dread vs Alucard (Hellsing)

Balerion the Black Dread is back and he’s up against a different Alucard this time. Alucard’s vampire abilities are greater than the average one and his speed is just about legendary. It would be seriously difficult for Balerion to land a single hit here so his raw power is basically taken out of the equation. Alucard’s hits will tear away at Balerion’s health until he eventually falls. Alucard (Hellsing) wins.

Mermaid Man vs Ridley

The Mermaid Man may have some basic super strength, but Ridley is likely faster and stronger, which will make for a pretty dangerous battle. The Mermaid Man won’t be able to keep up with Ridley’s powerful attacks and a few fireballs should definitely knock the fight out of him. This is why Ridley the dragon is not someone to be trifled with. Ridley wins.

Captain Falcon vs Jigglypuff

Captain Falcon is one tough customer and it never gets old to see him take another win. Both of these characters are a lot of fun to play as in Super Smash Bros although their gameplay styles are so different. Captain Falcon has a lot of punishing attacks that deal heavy damage, but Jigglypuff’s wear and tear game will eventually crush anyone. Jigglypuff’s arsenal of attacks will overwhelm the racer and the crowd will be surprised as they look at the new champ. Jigglypuff wins.

Lucifer (Supernatural) vs Bass

Lucifer has a lot of powers at his disposal and he’s a very skilled fighter. That being said, he’s used to effortlessly defeating his opponents with telekinesis and his other abilities so he’s not prepared for a knockdown fight with Bass. Bass has the edge since his speed is superior and his hand to hand skills are just about perfect. Lucifer’s telekinesis is not strong enough to stop Bass and his durability can only hold out for so long. I’m afraid that he is ultimately doomed to lose in this round. Bass wins.

Peter Venkman vs Fox

This is a tribute to the second Ghostbusters film and Peter didn’t really have a chance at winning this round. Peter really looks the same as he did in the first installment and he’s too unprofessional to take on Fox. Fox is a tactical leader who always assesses the situation before making a move. That’s why he’s always known as such a noble hero and it’s why he isn’t about to lose this battle. He is also officially back to being my main in the new Super Smash Bros so it was time to get him a win. Fox wins.

Bass vs Death (Supernatural)

I appreciate the fact that Death is a powerful foe, but he is outmatched here. He has power over life and death, but destroying Bass will require more than a gesture. Death’s powers seem to be linked to his ring and seeing as how Bass can move a lot faster than Death can teleport…that’s game over. Bass takes away the ring and lands a really satisfying punch in. Alternately, he can just punch Death so hard and so fast that Death can’t regain his composure and launch a counter offensive. Death definitely sounds like a tough fighter to go up against, but Bass can handle him. This is Bass after all! Bass wins.

Balerion the Black Dread is one of the strongest dragons that we have in the mythos and the Game of Thrones has likely increased his popularity dramatically. We can’t doubt the overwhelming power that he has at its disposal. That being said, Alucard has the edge in this round. He is much faster than Balerion and I have every bit of confidence in his flame sword’s ability to pierce the beast. Balerion the Black Dread may have lost the round, but the war is not over! Alucard wins.

Alex Hopper may have seen some success in the Battleship film, but now he’s up against a real alien. Pac Man’s supernatural abilities seem to have no limit as he invents a new form with each berry that he consumes. The classic Pac Man didn’t even need berries as various switches and fruits would give him new abilities. One good hit from Pac Man’s shockwave attack should send Alex flying. Pac Man wins.
