Detective Chimp makes his debut on the blog, but he won’t be able to defeat the Dark Knight! Batman’s far too clever and his hand to hand abilities are pretty potent. I’d also say that Batman’s a better detective in the longrun. Detective Chimp may have lost this round, but he’ll be back. Batman wins.

Vandal Savage vs Darkseid

Vandal Savage is immortal and his durability is pretty impressive, but when you’re up against someone as powerful as Darkseid…durability won’t win you the match. Darkseid’s Omega Beams should do the trick to win this round, or he can just use the classic hand to hand combat strategy. Darkseid wins.

Wildcat vs Batman

Wildcat may be good at hand to hand combat, but I’ve always considered Batman to be far superior. Wildcat’s a decent fighter, but he just doesn’t have what it takes to defeat an opponent of Batman’s caliber. Batman has a lot of gadgets at the ready and even without prep time he can win this round. Batman wins.

Batman vs Darkseid

Batman has his gun at the ready. He usually doesn’t use firearms, but he is pretty skilled with them. Darkseid has the omega beams, but Batman’s speed should allow him to dodge them while delivering some powerful GL ring blasts. Batman’s composite abilities are numerous and give him the edge. Batman wins.

Human Flame vs Green Lantern (Stewart)

The Human Flame is a pretty powerful opponent, but Green Lantern (Stewart) can defeat him. John Stewart has his GL Power Ring which can be used for many different forms of battle. Long range is always the best way to use it and he will defeat the Human Flame in this round. Green Lantern (Stewart) wins.

Gorilla Grodd vs Darkseid

Gorilla Grodd has his telepathy which can be useful against those who do not possess minds strong enough to stop it. Unfortunately for Gorilla Grodd, Darkseid would be able to resist the mind abilities. Darkseid could also just end the match with his Omega Beams nice and quickly. Darkseid wins.

Boodikka vs Green Lantern

Green Lantern is back and he’s up against Boodikka. Boodikka easily has one of the best designs from the Green Lantern corps, but it won’t be enough to defeat Green Lantern. Hal Jordan has had more experience than most other fighters can even dream of having. He’s not the type to be defeated. Green Lantern wins.

Darkseid vs Joker

The Joker has a lot of gadgets that can let him take on folks like Batman and Robin, but he can’t take down someone as powerful as Darkseid. Darkseid has speed and power that are far greater than anything that the Joker can dish out. Darkseid takes this win pretty quickly. Darkseid wins.

Yuichi Aizawa vs Train

Yuichi Aizawa may have some mild sword skills, but they won’t be enough to defeat an opponent of Train’s level. Train has his gun at the ready and his speed is also uncanny. Defeating him is something that isn’t easily done. Yuichi Aizawa may have started his blog career with a loss, but he put up a brave fight. Train wins.

Harry Potter vs Teridax

Harry Potter has some spells at his disposal, but he wouldn’t really have time to use them. Teridax would quickly defeat him with a single hit, and even if Harry Potter managed to fire off one of his spells, it wouldn’t be enough to win. Teridax is just far too durable. Teridax wins.
