Thanos vs Eternity

675224-thanos_takes_on_eternity
Eternity may seem like a very powerful being, but he’s pretty abstract. His abilities just aren’t that impressive and he would go down pretty quickly against someone as powerful as Thanos. Thanos has taken down opponents who were far stronger than Eternity could ever be. Eternity takes a hard loss with this round. Thanos wins.

Rainbow Dash vs Lubba

Rainbow Dash is back and she’s up against Lubba! Lubba may seem like a pretty tough guy, but can he hope to defeat someone as powerful as Rainbow Dash? Rainbow Dash has the massive speed advantage and one good hit should be enough to take Lubba down for the count. Lubba drops down the blog ranks with this loss. Rainbow Dash wins.

Phineas vs Bass

This is a tribute to Mission Marvel! Phineas wasn’t a team player in the film and hurt the team’s morale. He may have helped to fight the villains, but he didn’t do so well. Bass is the strongest being in all of media and I dare say that he would have done better. One good shot and Phineas is down for the count. Bass wins.

Altair vs Ezio

Char_ezio
ACR_Altair_Render2
Altair is a pretty good fighter and he would give Ezio a solid fight. They’re more or less equal in hand to hand combat, but I think that Ezio’s equipment is a little better. He has armors that will help to lesson the damage from Altair’s attacks and his fighting skills should do the rest. Of course Altair has the Armor of Altair which will provide him with a lot of defense as well. It’s definitely a close battle and it could have gone either way. Ezio wins.

Phineas and Ferb Mission Marvel Review

Mission_Marvel_DVD_Cover

Phineas and Ferb is a pretty popular show, but who would have thought that they’d end up meeting Marvel’s biggest heroes!? This would be considered an Avengers crossover, but with the inclusion of Spiderman, (Who is a part time Avenger, but felt like a loner in this one) I’d just call it a Phineas and Ferb and Marvel crossover. How epic was it?

Well the plot is that Dr Doofenshmirtz has developed a new weapon that will rid you of your powers. It’s full proof and not for the faint of heart. Dr Doofenshmirtz uses the device, but things get a little dicey when it misses its target and hits the Superheroes! The Heroes had been defeating the villain organization led by Red Skull, but this brought the battle so a sudden halt. Now the heroes must regain their powers and save the day! Meanwhile Agent P, has to uncover the villain’s true plans and save the world.

Since this is a comedy, everyone is nicely out of character. Spiderman’s portrayal was pretty good since he was basically toying with everyone the whole time. The Hulk didn’t seem so smart, but at least he tried. Thor forgot how to fly without his hammer which made me take a step back. Ironman still got his share of lines in, but it’s too bad that the armor short circuited. Phineas and Ferb tried to be pretty smart, but you can tell that they’re just trying to impress the Marvel Heroes. Agent P was the truly hardcore character and he always has a solution to every problem. He’s definitely not a fighter who should be taken lightly. The villains…are there. They definitely know when it’s time to call it quits!

The special is pretty short, but also fun. The action scenes were decently good considering what the special was and the action was fast paced. The Phineas and Ferb characters could be pretty hard to watch at times, but the Superheroes were epic. The heroes also had a good rock theme going during their fight. Phineas may have overreacted a few times considering that he wasn’t much help in the fights, but in the end, Agent P showed the world why he’s the agent. I’d recommend watching the special, but watch out for the songs. If you want a true superhero adventure, then check out the Static Shock meets Batman episode.

Dino Piranha vs Mario

Smgimpressions-1-
Dino Piranha is back, but now he’s up against everyone’s favorite plumber! Mario has taken on many fighters in the past and he’s known as a pretty balanced guy. Not only is he good for defense, but he can throw a mean punch. I don’t think that Dino Piranha could take on Mario’s fire mode. Mario’s just too powerful in that form. Mario wins.

Dr Neo Cortex vs Eggman

CortexTitans
Eggman-eggman-club-29301647-640-479
Dr Neo Cortex makes his debut onto the blog with this round! He’s a pretty smart guy, but can he match wits against Eggman? Eggman has built many tough machines of his own in the past. He has his good ole Egg Dragoon and he’s a tough guy. I don’t think that Dr Neo Cortex will be able to match up with him for long. Eggman’s just too determined! Eggman wins.

Superman Last Son Review

2701678-last_son

I never get tired of reading Superman comics. Superman is always a solid protagonist and this comic is fun to read. It goes by quickly and we do get some nice Superman action. Some of Superman’s most memorable villains appear as well. Is the comic rushed or is it one that will be remembered through history?

The comic starts out with a meteor preparing to hit Earth. Superman quickly stops it, but he sees a kid inside. The Government quickly gets involved and they decide to take this guy into custody. They take him to a secure facility, but Superman quickly finds out about it and takes the kid home. The name’s Christopher Kent and he’s not an opponent to be taken lightly.

Superman tries to give the kid a normal life, but it’s not meant to be. Luthor sends in Bizarro to cause trouble and General Zod breaks out of captivity along with the other Kryptonians. Superman’s going to need the Justice League to get involved with this fight, as well as Christopher Kent. This time, Superman needs to save the world and defeat an army of beings who could shatter the planet…this looks like a job for Superman!

Superman is a pretty solid main character as usual. He’s always ready to make the world a better place and he does a pretty solid job of defeating all opponents who stand in his way. I didn’t like Lois or Chris Kent in this comic. Lois was very apprehensive about raising Chris and Chris…I just didn’t like him. He wasn’t my type of character, that’s for sure. Lex Luthor is pretty good and he continues to show everyone up as he wins battle after battle. His fight against the Kryptonian is very….inaccurate or hard to believe. You get to make your pick. Metallo and Parasite were pretty fun villains and easy to root for. The Kryptonians and Bizarro were less likable, but they made for good villains.

That’s the problem with Kryptonians. If they’re all at around half of Superman’s level, they should still be able to crush most of the people on Earth in an instant. I just couldn’t believe some of their losses, but the stakes definitely felt high, so I still give the author points for the attempt. Batman lost pretty quickly which is also a little tricky. Could an army of Kryptonians take on the Justice League? The only threats would be Batman, Wonder Woman, GL, Flash, Supergirl, and Powergirl. Probably a few more, but those are the big problems. They were outnumbered, so maybe it’s feasible, but still pretty sad for the League.

This was definitely a fun comic book. We got to see what it would be like if Superman wasn’t actually the last Kryptonian. Getting the League involved was pretty good as well. The art inside the Phantom Zone was definitely intriguing, but for those who don’t have 3D glasses, it could be annoying. The ending is pretty sad for some characters, but for the most part, it had a solid ending. The only negative might be the short length, but that’s barely a negative and won’t hurt the comic. I’d recommend this comic and I’m sure that all comic fans will have fun with it. Superman will always be a cool character.

Tournament Smashers Episode 55 Robin (Animal) vs Robin

The next battle is now here!

Robin was looking through some files in the Batcave. “Phoney Baloney! If I don’t get these files to Batman’s desk by morning, I won’t get to go to the arcade!” Robin complained as he shuffled through the files. “Whoops,” Robin said as he dropped one of the papers to the ground. He reached out to grab it, but then a bird grabbed it and flew away.

“Running Raptoids! A Robin has stolen the files!” Robin yelled as he chased after the bird. The Robin flew off into the sky and headed for Metropolis. “No you don’t!” Robin yelled as he gave chase. He wasn’t going to let this Robin outshine him. Robin shot out a grappling hook and hurled himself onto the Daily Planet. He reached for the paper, but the Robin did a barrell roll and evaded him. “Not bad,” Robin said as the Robin elbowed him as he flew past.

Robin was falling to the ground, but he quickly shot out another grappling hook so that he could swing to safety. This bird was obviously a mastermind and if he was given enough prep time…it would be over! Robin quickly shook his head and cleared out those thoughts. “He’s just a Robin,” Robin exclaimed as he jumped into the air. From behind, the Robin pecked him.

Robin fell to the ground and reached for a bird cage, but the Robin was too fast for him and flew back into the air. Robin gave chase, but the Robin went into a store. Robin jumped in, but Security Guards quickly grabbed him. “Don’t even try it,” they said as Robin reached for his staff.

“I can’t lose!” Robin yelled as he swung at one of the guards and knocked him over. “That was a pretty impressive swing,” the 2nd guard said as he took out a baton. He swung at Robin, but Robin parried and punched the guard to the ground. “Fight’s over son,” a voice said as the Justice League appeared. “Not….quite…yet,” Robin said as he threw a smoke bomb.

He heard the JLA coughing and he quickly exited the store. “This just got personal,” Robin said as he took out a giant bazooka. He pointed it at the sky and fired. A bird cage came out and grew wings. “It’s time to capture a Robin!” Robin yelled as he put on a booster pack. “Robin go!” Robin yelled as he zoomed around the world.

Hours later, Robin saw the Robin. “Eat this,” Robin yelled as he opened the cage. The Robin dodged and tackled Robin. They fell into a barn. “That was some tackle,” Robin said as he shook his head. The Robin hit Robin in the face with a frying pan. “Snap!” Robin yelled as he hit the ground. The Robin started throwing a lot of plates and straw at Robin. “I can’t take much more!” Robin yelled as he pressed a button.

From behind the Robin, a cage appeared and closed around him. “I finally captured him,” Robin said as he picked the cage up. “Nice try, but you’re going to Arkham,” Robin said as he headed there. On his way to the prison, Robin was grabbed from behind. “Hey!” Robin yelled as the Robin took this opportunity to break the cage open and fly away. “Chase him,” Robin’s attacker said as someone flew after the Robin. “This can’t be!” Robin yelled as he took out a bomb.

Mephisto vs Thanos

2612854-thanos_strangling_mephisto
Mephisto is strong to be sure, but he won’t be winning this round. Thanos is far stronger than Mephisto and he’s a better hand to hand fighter. Mephisto is good from long range, but not quite as good as Thanos. Thanos has attained many abilities over the years and they have given him a solid edge. Thanos wins.
