Eel (DC) vs Aquaman

Thanks to a fun comic book site by the name of Arousing Grammar, I became aware of a DC villain who calls himself the Eel. He’s an Aquaman villain and we don’t have a whole lot of them over on the blog so I thought that it would be nice to have this match. The Eel (DC) may not be a great character, but his design is certainly great and his telepathic abilities make him a dangerous fighter. Of course, he’s no match for Aquaman’s super strength and underwater abilities. Aquaman wins.

Saltwater Crocodile vs Shark

The term Shark is used loosely on this site to mean the Great White Shark species and that also means that good ole Jaws is a part of the character. The Saltwater Crocodile is one of the largest creatures out there and they can grow to be around 23 feet, just two shy of the famous Jaws creature. Size isn’t everything though and both of these creatures have tremendous power at their disposal. One bite from either of them could be fatal and it’s a tough choice, but I’m going to have to lean towards the classic Great White. It’s pretty quick underwater and I believe that it would win a biting battle. Shark wins.

Sir Grodus makes his blog debut and it’s time for him to face off against the King of the Blog. This is a pretty tricky thing to do and there aren’t many fighters who can face such a foe and live. In fact…there hasn’t been a single fighter who’s been able to defeat Bass so far and this isn’t likely to change anytime soon. Bass is just too formidable at this point and his speed is beyond description. Bass wins.

Zavok vs Bowser

Both of these fighters have some pretty good super strength at their disposal. Zavok can turn into a giant and likewise Bowser can transform into Giga Bowser. Zavok does have the edge in long range ability since he can fire a giant laser while Bowser will have to rely on his fireballs. Zavok is also a master at hand to hand combat, which is certainly enough to give him a decent edge. I’m afraid that Bowser may be doomed this time. Zavok wins.

Bonetail vs Mario

Bonetail may be a powerful creature, but this is Mario that we’re talking about so Bonetail is out of luck. The plumber is always ready with a hammer and his trusty cap. Mario has many forms including his Tanooki suit, which will allow him to fly out of harm’s way and then come back for the win. Bonetail loses his blog debut match, but I’m sure that he’ll be back. Mario wins.

Red Hulk vs Bowser

Bowser and Red Hulk are both known for their strength, but it can easily be argued that Red Hulk has the superior brawn. Bowser has his Giga Bowser form, but Red Hulk can counter with the Power Cosmic and his super heating ability. It will be tough for Bowser to overcome this technique and he will be forced to concede defeat. Red Hulk wins.

Gloomtail vs Sonic

Gloomtail may be a large dragon, but Sonic’s dealt with many foes like that. Gloomtail just won’t be able to match Sonic’s killer speed and few can accomplish such a feat. Gloomtail can try to land a solid blow on Sonic, but he’ll already be eating a chili dog in Mexico by that point. Once Sonic gets the 7 Chaos Emeralds, then it’s over. Sonic wins.

Bowser vs Squirtle

Squirtle is a surprisingly powerful fighter and especially once he transforms into Blastoise. Bowser may have his flames at the ready, but they wont do all that much to someone like Squirtle. Squirtle would speedblitz his way to victory. Bowser just doesn’t have the speed feats or long range techniques necessary for a victory in this round. Squirtle wins.

Rawk Hawk vs Mario

Rawk Hawk is a pretty tough guy and he was the champion of a certain fighting arena for a very long time. That being said, Mario knows a thing or two about fighting battles as well and he’s made a name for himself at the Smash Bros arena. Rawk Hawk may have a lot of physical power, but Mario can shoot giant fireballs while staying far away. Mario’s also a lot quicker than Rawk Hawk. Mario wins.

Martian Manhunter vs Luigi

Luigi may be a plumber and he has a lot of good acrobatic skills at the ready, but it simply won’t be enough to stop the Martian Manhunter. Martian Manhunter is one of the stronger members of the Justice League and his skills are pretty sound. One good punch would likely prove to be too much for Luigi to handle and the Martian’s speed will ensure that the blow connects. Martian Manhunter wins.
