Wii Fit Trainer vs King Dedede

Dedede is sleeping on the job. Poor Wii Fir Trainer
The Wii Fit Trainer is one of the newest members to the Smash Bros group and is already one of the toughest characters on the block. Her reputation is pretty legendary and she can definitely land some lethal blows against any fighter. King Dedede has the edge in power and his hammer shouldn’t be taken lightly, but he just won’t be able to win very quickly. Still, King Dedede will end up winning in the end and that’s what counts. King Dedede wins.

Zazz

Zazz is a pretty chaotic opponent and it’s tough to get a read on him. Is he deliberately messing with the heroes or is his power beyond comprehension? We don’t really get to find out for sure, but it’s safe to say that he’s deadly. Sonic actually seemed to be a little startled at the sight of him and Zazz isn’t your average brawler. This guy has definitely got what it takes and he’s not someone who will be deterred. Zazz is an all around fighter and he definitely has strong abilities. He can fire energy blasts and also fly with ease. One simply does not count Zazz out of a fight until it’s all over. He has massive amounts of super strength and he could physically overpower just about any fighter. His speed is also considerable and that is why his opponents should beware. Zazz should not be taken lightly and he probably has a bright blog future ahead of him. Who could possibly defeat him!?

Rainbow Dash

Rainbow Dash is from the new MLP Friendship is Magic show and she’s a pretty popular character. She has many fans and that is likely because of her amazing abilities. She’s faster than you may suspect and she could likely give Sonic some competition. Sonic is fast, but I dare say that Rainbow Dash could outspeed just about anyone. She can fly as well so this gives her an edge over most speedsters. Rainbow Dash also became a Zapping superhero which helps her out as well. Rainbow Dash knows that true friendship is magic, but she also knows that she is very strong on her own as well. Many fans may believe that Goku and Superman could take Rainbow Dash down because she’s a pony, but Rainbow Dash is just as fierce as those two fighters and she could quickly take them down if she plays to her speed edge. Having super speed means that she’s excellent in close combat, but she can also make a quick escape to long range. Her opponents better beware!

JP

JP is one of the main fighters from the Digimon Frontier series. He may look like a joke upon first glance compared to the intense Takuya and the cool Kouji, but he’s tougher than he looks. He’s always armed with a few chocolate bars and he proved that he has the strength of character needed to keep on fighting. When he was up against his shadow double in the boxing ring, he ever gave up! He may not be a big threat in his human form, but what about his digital forms? As Beetlemon, he proved to be every bit as tough as the other heroes and that wasn’t even his final form! He uses a lot of thunder attacks so that will keep enemies from getting too far away. This means that they will have to engage in close combat battles and that could also prove to be deadly. JP’s physical power is staggering and I don’t think that his enemies will survive for very long. His Beast Mode also has a cannon that can do enormous damage in an instant. With all of this knowledge at your disposal, I’m sure that you’ll quickly agree that JP could very well be the strongest character that we’ve ever seen! We will likely be hearing a lot about him throughout the blog in the future.

Takuya

Takuya is the main character of the Digimon Frontier series and he definitely has some serious leadership qualities. He is a fire type as with most main characters (Debatable I suppose) and his forms can be quite lethal. He may not have many abilities in his human form, but he can transform into Emperor Greymon and even Susanoomon. While he is in his stronger forms, Takuya possesses great amounts of strength and speed. He would make DBZ fighters proud as he breaks the sound barrier and was also able to endure a large fist barrage without taking any notable damage. Takuya has a lot of endurance is he is usually able to stay conscious after taking a lot of punishment. His attacks include giant energy balls, fire blasts, tackles, fire dragons, and many others. Takuya is definitely not someone that you will want to fight and he’s highly proficient in both long and short range combat. If one had to name an opponent that they would want to avoid..many would probably say Takuya’s name. He’s the perfect fighter because he can adapt to any situation. You do not want to fight this guy!

Piranha Jones

Piranha Jones isn’t your average villain. He does own a penthouse after all and while he has not appeared in a bunch of comics, he isn’t someone that you’ll forget. The first time that I ever saw Piranha Jones was in the Avengers EMH show. He seemed to be pretty cool and while he definitely underestimated Luke Cage, considering that their rivals and all. He was still someone that you could root for. He doesn’t have a large array of super abilities at his dipsosal, but he makes up for that with his quick thinking and razor sharp teeth. One bite could be fatal to just about any character in media. It just depends on where Piranha Jones gets his bite, but his opponents should beware. Their only chance is attacking him from afar, but an opponent like Piranha Jones will quickly close the gap. Nobody will be able to defeat him at close range and they are just doomed! This is only the beginning for Piranha Jones!

Mewtwo Prologue to Awakening Review

pokemon mewtwo
The latest Pokemon movie was easily the greatest of all time so a prequel special would definitely be fun. Usually, when a film has a prequel episode it can be tricky since the main characters may be absent. I don’t think that Ichigo got to appear when the anime did an episode on the final movie. Luckily, Ash manages to appear in this film and it’s a pretty epic cameo. Let’s just say that Ash will be going places! Could this prequel episode manage to live up to the movie and prove to be better than the average Pokemon episode? Let’s find out!

The plot is pretty simple and I’ve been saying that a lot lately. It’s just the way that the cookie crumbles or how the mashed potatoes is serves I suppose. Mewtwo is fighting three powerful Pokemon when a mountain shatters from the power and hits all of them. Mewtwo is now gravely injured and someone is still hunting him. Meanwhile, a Pokemon Ranger crash lands when he forgets how to properly use a plane and didn’t notice that he flew off in one that was broken. This guy’s a natural expert on plane mechanics and goes to work. An old man his grandson own a cabin on the land and go to help the guy. They meet a very suspicious Pokemon Hunter who says that Mewtwo saved him, but his Pokemon are injured. The Ranger must now help the guy’s Pokemon and also find Mewtwo to recruit him for the cause!

Virgil is the main character of the special and he’s pretty intense. It may make you wince when he forgets that his plane is damaged and when he can’t bluff his way through a sandwich, but it can be worse. He’s an Eevee user and he owns all of the different types. He’s pretty impressive since he became the champion of the Pokemon League in his region. It’s too bad that he couldn’t face Ash since Ash got knocked out during the early phases of the tournament, but it’s how it goes I suppose. Ash always manages to lose the battles that really count. Virgil doesn’t usually take things in stride and he can get shocked very quickly, but he’s still a good guy deep down. He just doesn’t have the natural leadership qualities that Ash possesses and he doesn’t have quite as much experience. His team wasn’t able to put out a simple forest fire, but they gave it their all!

Dirk is the Pokemon Hunter and he should not be underestimated. He was nearly able to defeat Mewtwo in a fair fight and that’s nothing to sneeze at. I did have to question the accuracy of such a feat, but for now I’ll just take it in stride….nah. That was pretty inaccurate and I just didn’t buy it. Dirk isn’t really a great character since he’s a little bit of a one shot and he wasn’t very impressive. He managed to outsmart the main cast, but that’s nothing to brag about. At least he was taken to the proper authorities so that they could put him behind bars.

Anna and Oscar are also in the film, but there isn’t much to say about them. Anna tries to show Mewtwo that Friendship is Magic and Oscar tries to make sure that Virgil doesn’t have a great experience during his stay there. They team up to give Vergil a really spicy sandwich and Vergil doesn’t take it too well. One bite is enough to take him down and he just wasn’t able to stop it. That was one spicy sandwich!

Mewtwo is the main Pokemon of the film, but she isn’t portrayed too well. The problem is that she’s very depowered so that the villains can actually have a chance. I don’t mind that the villains can get some props since I’ve always liked Tyranitar, but that was a little too much. Mewtwo couldn’t use recover and her speed was very inconsistent. I would have liked to see Mewtwo just take out the planet and go from there. At least Mewtwo will be ready for the movie and she was definitely powerful in that film.

Ash also gets a cameo and it’s a pretty intense one. He doesn’t seem to have fully recovered from his humiliating loss in the Pokemon League and watching his rival Vergil win it all must have been devastating. Professor Oak tells them that they should go visit a town that’s not too far away. He’s likely telling Ash this so that Ash can take his mind off of his big losses. Ash continues to lose in the big championships, but at least he gives it his all! Ash came across as a winner in this special and I like to think that he would have won in a rematch.

The only problem with this episode is that it feels like they were trying to make everyone look bad. The voice acting was definitely over the top and they felt as if they were talking in slow motion for some scenes. I hope that this isn’t the case with all of the current episodes, although it could be a little funny I suppose. The only problem is that good scenes won’t sound as hardcore and bad scenes will sound even worse. It’s a risky gambit so I hope that they know what they’re doing!

Overall, this was a fun episode. It’s pretty nostalgic to see the gang once again and Ash will always be an inspiring hero to all! I wonder if he still plans to catch them all, but he probably just wants to become the Pokemon Champion. It’ll be fun to finally see him fulfill that objective in the Kalos region. It’s also good to see Mewtwo again and the mega transformations never get all. It’ll be awesome if Pikachu learns how to do that in the anime. The soundtrack and animation were great and it felt like they were aiming this at the movie crowd. They probably grabbed some movie animators as well, for better or for worse. I definitely recommend checking this special out, but if you are watching the anime then you’ll come across it in time. I also recommend checking out the film right after you watch this episode so that you can watch as Ash’s Pikachu takes on Genesect!

Overall 7/10

Shang Chi vs Thing

798054-marvel_two_in_one_029_08
Shang Chi is back and he’s a pretty solid hand to hand fighter, but the Thing is just too powerful. One good punch would probably take Shang Chi down for the count and the Thing can definitely take a lot of punishment. Shang Chi can weaken him through his attacks, but the blows just won’t be enough to stop him for long. Thing wins.

Marth vs Thor

MarthSSBBTrophyCriticalHit
2098224-thor_standing_what_are_your_favorite_marvel_heroesvillains_s550x834_60854_580
This is actually a pretty close battle since Marth is very quick and he’s an excellent swordsman. One good swing and then his opponents will fall like a bowl of mashed potatos! That being said, Thor still has the edge in power and he has a lot of battle experience as well. Both of these fighters can unleash a lethal attack when they clash, but Thor is most likely the one who’ll come out on top. Thor wins.

Shang Chi vs Spiderman

810612-spiderman3
Shang Chi is tougher than one may expect, but he still doesn’t have the abilities needed to defeat Spiderman. Spiderman is physically stronger than Shang Chi and he’s also more skilled. Shang Chi doesn’t have the proportional strength of a spider after all and he’s not quite as experienced. He won’t be able to win this round! Spiderman wins.
