Veemon vs Chansey

Veemon will steal Chansey's eggs
Chansey is a pretty skilled Pokemon and she has a lot of special abilities, but Veemon will surpass Chansey in the long run through Digievolution. Veemon can turn into Imperialdramon and then one good shot from his cannon will be enough to end the match. Chansey just won’t be able to compete with such overwhelming power. Veemon wins.

Kuroyukihime vs Asuna

Accel World 01
Asuna is a veteran when it comes to sword fighting and her speed is legendary. She earned quite a rep in Sword Art Online and she’s easily one of the strongest fighters, but will that be enough to stop Kuroyukihime? Kuroyukihime’s reputation is even more formidable than Asuna’s and she has a lifetime of combat experience. Kuroyukihime’s speed surpasses that of Asuna’s and she has a lot more durability at her disposal. Kuroyukihime can also use long range abilities to her advantage and this is one fight that she won’t lose. Kuroyukihime wins.

Hayley Fischer vs Meg Griffin

Gal_hayley
Hayley Fischer and Meg Griffin are both about equally matched which should make this match pretty interesting. That being said, Meg doesn’t seem to be as tough as Hayley and she usually loses the fights. Meg loses her debut fight and Hayley will probably take a loss at some point in the future as well. Hayley Fischer wins.

Kirito vs Haruyuki

Accel_World_Volume_10_Chapter_3
The Sword Art Online vs Accel World battles will now begin! Kirito is a far superior character to Haruyuki in personality, but can he match Haruyuki’s fighting abilities? Kirito is a master swordsman and his speed is at a very high level, but Haruyuki has his Silver Crow mode and in that form he’s a very intense fighter. Silver Crow is much better at flying than Kirito and his speed is on a whole other level. Kirito’s sword attacks could prove to be deadly against Silver Crow and his healing abilities are very useful, but I believe that he is outranked in this match. Silver Crow has his super kick and his flying speed is unreal. Haruyuki wins.

Runaways Volume 11 Homeschooling Review

9780785140856_p0_v4_s260x420

The Runaways are a pretty obscure Marvel team and they are typically in obscure areas. No matter where they go, other heroes are never around to help them which can be pretty sad for them. They’ve been on their own for a while and things are getting to be pretty tough. I haven’t really cared for the previous comics so will this one be able to surpass the others?

The plot involved one of the members making a giant forest and then there’s a lot of tension and drama. If they cut down the plants, will it end up hurting her? They don’t think that it will…but can they take the chance!? Meanwhile, there’s also a pretty intense plot at the end that involves a super villain who may be the strongest Marvel character ever!

The Runaways is definitely not my favorite comic series of the bunch and this collection reminds me why. The main characters are all very unlikable and keep on getting into fights. There’s a lot of drama among them and things continue to escalate in this collection. I would go into the characters in more detail, but most of the names aren’t very memorable and it’s hard to place the names for each of them. Nico is the one with magical powers and they are mostly used when it is convenient. She doesn’t seem to have much of a limit as far as her powers are concerned, but she hasn’t mastered them yet which comes back to bite the team more than once. She has her own drama that is basically the same as the rest of the crew. It’s just impossible to actually like any of them and you wish that the Avengers would come in and switch up the lineup.

Luckily, that’s where the final comic comes in. It essentially saved the collection since it was pretty fun and a step up from the rest of the comics. Iron Patriot has assembled the Runaways since they are the only ones that can stop Victorious. In the future…Victorious has wiped everyone out and he may be the strongest being of all time! Pretty impressive hype considering that he’s very unimpressive in the comic. I think that Marvel tried too hard to keep the Runaways relevant, but Victorious made for an intriguing villain. The comic was definitely the best part because we got some good fights and a real plot. The Wrecking Crew are definitely pretty tough and it’s nice to see them get some props.

One final negative is that the art is pretty bad. It’s not incredibly awful, but it suffers from the same problem that Accel World had in the humans. The humans tend to have random blushes, but it’s not even limited to their faces which is just weird and pretty bad. The final comic had good art, but the rest of it was pretty underwhelming. They definitely didn’t hire the all star cast for this one.

Overall, this comic is not Marvel’s best showing. It was very light in the action department and there wasn’t really a villain until the very final comic, which is never a good thing. The plot really dragged on and there wasn’t even much of a plot since it just involved the plants for the most part. The cast can definitely be pretty bad and none of them are likable characters. Let’s not forget the underwhelming art either. It’s a very good thing that they included that final comic. If you want to see teenage superheroes, then I recommend checking out one of the Teen Titan comics.

Overall 4/10

Captain Kirk vs Naruto

Captainkirk
naruto-sage-mode-fotoku.info
This is a tribute to Naruto Shippuden The Lost Tower! Naruto was pretty fierce in this movie and he showed us what a true main character can do against an immortal opponent. Captain Kirk would have turned tail and ran away during the opening sequence and he’s completely out of his league in this round. There’s no way that he can defeat Naruto. Naruto wins.

Gallantmon vs Hawkeye

avxhawkeyecyclops-426x268

Hawkeye has his arrows, but they just aren’t enough to take down Gallantmon. Gallantmon has fought stronger opponents in the past and his durability is pretty high so Hawkeye won’t be taking him down anytime soon. Gallantmon only needs one good hit to win the match and take Hawkeye out of the fight. Gallantmon wins.

Superman vs Captain Kirk

CaptainKirk
Superman_powers
Captain Kirk has been losing a lot today and it doesn’t seem like that will be stopping! Superman is vastly superior to Captain Kirk in all areas and there’s no attack in Kirk’s arsenal that is capable of hurting Superman. We’re just going to have to accept the fact that Kirk is out of his league in this round. Superman wins.

Rainbow Dash vs Nemo

Rainbow-Dash-my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic-20416585-555-375
1000px-Nemo-FindingNemo3D
Nemo is a pretty tricky opponent, but he won’t be able to defeat Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash possesses a high level of speed and not many can hope to defeat her. Rainbow Dash can fly rings around Nemo and one good hit is all that she needs since she’s a casual building buster. Nemo takes yet another loss with this round. Rainbow Dash wins.

Mega Man vs Captain Kirk

Captain Kirk is back and he’s back to lose! He can’t keep up with an opponent as devastating as Mega Man and he’ll be soundly defeated. Mega Man has many attacks in his arsenal including a couple of nice Mega Buster shots! Captain Kirk has definitely met his match this time and I’m not sure if he’ll be able to bounce back from this loss. Mega Man wins.
