Helena vs Hitomi

maxresdefault
Hitomi and Helena are both very accomplished hand to hand fighters from Dead or Alive. Hitomi is physically much stronger than Helena, but is not quite as quick and athletic. As a Sheik main in Super Smash Bros, I can safely tell you that speed wins most fights. It would be a tough match, but I’d give Helena the edge in hand to hand combat so she will be able to use Hitomi’s strength against her. If only one of them had a projectile, it would be an insta win! Helena wins.

Robin vs Mothra

Mothra _11_
Mothra is tough and while she doesn’t have the same physical strength that most of the Kaiju possess, she has a good amount of long range options. Mothra even has variations of herself like Mothra Leo, which amp up her attack power. Robin had a lot of gadgets, but they won’t really have an effect on this Kaiju. If Robin obtained many powers like Batman it could have been different, but that simply did not happen. Mothra wins.

Bahamut (SIN) vs Blastman

Bahamut SIN is strong, but he is very slow so dodging Blastman’s attacks will be very difficult. The answer isn’t really if he can dodge, but whether he can last long enough to eventually land a good shot in and take the win. I don’t think the Bahamut’s defensive abilities are good enough to win this battle of defense and Blastman will get in enough shots to secure his win. He may have not been too memorable, but he had his moments. Blastman wins.

Cloud vs Natsu

Cloud is back, but I’m not sure if he will really be able to pull out the win here against Natsu. Cloud’s incredibly strong and fast, but Natsu is an opponent who can actually match Cloud in these areas and quite possibly even surpass him. This won’t be a blowout for either side and Cloud will get his hits in, but I feel like he won’t have the stamina to move at full speed for a long enough time to stop Natsu. Natsu wins.

Cloud vs Noctis

Noctis_XII
Noctis is going to be the main character of the upcoming Final Fantasy XV game. It’s safe to say that his powers will be quite formidable and he will likely gain the usual array of magical abilities that the lead fighter usually possesses. That being said, it’s hard to picture him being able to keep up with Cloud’s speed. In Advent Children, Cloud was able to keep up with 3 different opponents at once and all of them possessed varying degrees of super speed. Maybe he’ll wind up surprising me, but while Noctis may be one of the strongest protagonists yet, he won’t end up being The strongest. Cloud wins.

Rerun vs Larry Appleton

I’ll admit that I’ve never heard of Rerun or his show “What’s Happening” before. Well…it seems intriguing, but probably not my kind of program. He’s not a fighter, but neither is Larry so this fight could get close. #LivingLikeLarry may be a meme, but Appleton didn’t create it. Man, I need to get back to this fight as I’ve been diverging off into randomness now right? Okay, I think Larry wins this because he’s a grown up. They both can’t fight, but at least Larry has a measure of strength at his disposal. I believe that he is stronger and likely faster than Rerun. That’s typically all that you need in a fight right? Larry Appleton wins.

David Van Driessen vs Ryu

“The Answer lies in the heart of battle.” “Heart Wins Battles” Notice anything similar in the quotes from Ryu and Cyclops? Heart plays a very important role in a fight and that’s one area where David is sorely lacking. He won’t be able to survive a hit from normal Ryu, much less the bearded version! Ryu is overqualified here and he could probably take on the whole Beavis universe. It feels good to be a powerhouse sometimes doesn’t it? You can definitely expect the legendary Street Fighter to return. Ryu wins.

David Van Driessen vs Tom Anderson

Both of these guys are from the Beavis TV show. Neither one of them can fight so that’s what makes things interesting here. Tom Anderson once knocked a man down, which is impressive, but he is a little old. David doesn’t exactly seem like a weight lifting champ, but I’m willing to bet that he’s got enough left in the tank for a nice win here. It’s a close match and it could go either way here, but youthful energy can give you quite the edge. David Van Driessen wins.

Deoxys vs Plusle

Deoxys can’t exit the day being 0-1 on the blog. Imagine how sad it would be for someone like him to be ranked lower than characters like Oolong and Yamcha? Plusle also can’t quite stay at 1-0. He’s a cool fighter, but not quite ready for the big leagues just yet. Deoxys should be able to win the match very quickly with a quick punch/stab followed up by an energy blast. Deoxys is one of the world’s most powerful Pokemon and I doubt that this will ever change. Deoxys wins.

Mewtwo vs Deoxys

The two strongest Pokemon in the series finally duke it out! Pikachu is a close second, but I believe that these two would defeat him in a fight. Despite the fact that Deoxys has never been playable in Pokken or Super Smash, he’s really close to Mewtwo here. Before Mega Mode, I’d say that Deoxys very well may have had the edge here. His speed is impressive and his instant regeneration would make an anime villain proud. He has several modes, which really makes him ready for any kind of attack, but Mewtwo’s sheer power should be enough to stop in his tracks. It would be a long drawn out battle, but one where Mewtwo ultimately has the edge. Mewtwo wins.
