This is a tribute to Ghostbusters and Peter Venkman definitely isn’t in a position to win. He may know how to deal with the supernatural, but operating a computer is simply beyond him. He won’t be able to turn the switch to the wifi off in time to stop Bass from materializing in the human world and that will be the end for him. Peter will take a loss here, but maybe he’ll win next time. Bass wins.

Captain Falcon vs Shaggy

This is a tribute to Scooby Doo Adventures and the Mystery Map. I wasn’t really sure who to give the tribute too since everyone basically gets equal screen time and it came down to Scooby Doo or Shaggy. I ended up giving it to Shaggy since he seemed to have more of an influence on the special. That being said, he wasn’t brave enough to tackle the parrot so he’s definitely doomed against a true warrior of grit like Captain Falcon. Captain Falcon is much faster than Shaggy and he should be able to end things with a single Falcon Punch. That attack is legendary and with good reason. Captain Falcon wins.

Lina Inverse vs Slur

This is a tribute to Slayers Perfect. The accent may have been a nice twist for Lina’s character, but this definitely wasn’t her best appearance. She was fooled by one of the hypnotists in the film and she also believed an old man who sent her to a cursed pool of water. She was more inexperienced back in those days so it’s to be expected, but those tricks wouldn’t work on Slur. Lina won’t be able to use her stronger spells since Slur would hit her before she could finish the chants. Speed is Lina’s big weakness and Slur has a lot of that. Slur wins.

Bryan Mills vs Nemo

This is a tribute to Taken 2. Bryan may have been kidnapped this time, but he still handled the situation well so that called for a victory here. Bryan is experienced in hand to hand combat so he should be able to quickly overwhelm Nemo. Nemo is quick, but he is sorely lacking in attack options and a single good hit would KO him. Nemo will have to add another loss to his total, which could hurt his blog rank. Bryan Mills wins.

Naruto vs Buu

This is a tribute to Road to Ninja. Naruto seemed to have forgotten his character development as he lamented the loss of his parents and he couldn’t take down the villains when the going got tough. This wasn’t the Naruto that I was used to seeing so he couldn’t win this tribute. Buu would have no trouble speedblitzing Naruto all day until he won the match. A simple blast would end the planet and that would put Naruto in a pretty tough spot. Naruto can’t keep up with Buu’s speed or strength so he’s effectively doomed. Buu wins.

Bilbo Baggins vs Bass

This is a tribute to the final Hobbit film. Bilbo didn’t look very good as expected although he tried to fight. He just wasn’t strong enough to really impact the battle and that’s where Bass comes in. If the overlord of Darkness had been there, the battle would have been over in an instant. Bass has powers beyond comprehension and Bilbo would lose before he could even grasp the fact that he was facing Bass. Bass wins.

Naruto vs Bass

This is a tribute to the OVA where Naruto fought Konohamaru and he didn’t look quite as good here. He had a pretty good start, but the ending made him look bad. (Assuming that they told him the rules in the first place) It was bad enough for him to get matched up against Bass here and that always means certain defeat. Naruto will have to hope he rebounds in the next film to keep his tribute W/L record up. Bass wins.

Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon vs Naruto

Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon makes his debut with this round, but he’s outmatched against Naruto. This serves as a tribute to Blood Prison as well. Naruto looked pretty good there so it’s no surprise that he will be getting a quick win here. Tachyon Dragon is pretty huge, but Naruto has faced giants in the past and he always comes out on top. Sage Mode should lead him to victory! Naruto wins.

Katniss vs Vegeta

This is a tribute to Mockingjay Part 1. Katniss is a pretty good archer and her skills definitely can’t be denied, but she still won’t be able to stop Vegeta. She lost her fighting spirit at some point during her journey and she has yet to regain it. That’s just one of the reasons why she is no match here. Vegeta wins.

This is a tribute to the classic Mummy film as well as a tribute to the latest Pokemon film. You could call it a double tribute and these are pretty rare since it’s pretty tough for one character to lose a tribute and then have the next character win one. Luckily, Ash looked pretty impressive in the current Pokemon film and his only unfortunate moment may have been when he was concentrating on the food a little too much and let Diancie get kidnapped. The Mummy had a lot of power and yet he still couldn’t best the humans….he definitely wasn’t going to win here! Ash wins.
