Shadow vs Brook

Shadow_26
brook
Brook is back, but he definitely does not have a chance against such a quick fighter. Shadow can run rings around Brook with ease. Brook has a sword, but it wont be able to hit Brook. Shadow can even use the powers of Chaos Control!! Brook takes another loss with this round, but maybe he’ll be back. Shadow wins.

Ben 10 vs Iceman

iceman-by-angelt1
ben-105
Ben 10 does have his fire form, but it wont be enough to melt this icy opponent. Iceman has taken many heat based opponents down in the past and I don’t think that he will stop now. Iceman’s battle experience may have been the deciding factor. He has dealt with opponents like the Avengers in the past, so he knows how to handle himself. Iceman wins.

Update 10/25/2022 Ben 10’s forms should be able to even get past Iceman’s ice. His fire abilities and other forms would just melt any of Iceman’s attack options. Ben 10 wins.

Superman vs Luke Cage

Luke Cage is strong in his own right, but he is not at Superman’s league. Superman has strength that is almost beyond comprehension. Luke Cage would be lucky if he could get any damage on him. Superman’s speed is also in a whole other league. This is why Superman is the most skilled comic book character of all time! Superman wins.

Sinestro and The Ring of Fear Review

9781434238993_p0_v1_s260x420

DC has definitely gotten a lot of chapter books over the last few months. This one in particular features Sinestro as the main character, but Hal Jordan still gets a decent role towards the end. (The book is around 50 pages so the beginning is like being near the end, but Jordan gets enough screen time) Could Sinestro hold his own comic as the main character or would the plot get dull fast? It’s time to find out!

Sinestro has decided that the Green Lanterns should be defeated and he becomes the leader over two different races. They put up a good struggle, but can anyone defeat an opponent who can basically destroy an entire planet with a single attack? A Green Lantern attempts to stop Sinestro from causing havoc from planet to planet and he does much better than I would have guessed. I thought that Sinestro would just whack him to the side, but he actually chases Sinestro away. Granted there were circumstances and some may call it a bit of a stretch to say that he “Chased” Sinestro away, but that’s basically what happened.

Sinestro got his partners to terrorize other planets as well. This way they could collect enough fear to power up his giant lantern. Hal Jordan hears about this and gathers up the Green Lanterns scattered across the planet. This is definitely the most ambitious climax that I’ve seen in a DC book. 100 Green Lanterns fighting 100 Yellow Lanterns is nothing to sneeze at. Hal Jordan does a pretty good job and he actually punches Sinestro off of a planet. Would you be shocked if I said that Hal nearly knocked him out of the Solar System? Well, you may want to check this out just to see that.

Well, this was a fun book. I’ve always been a fan of the Green Lantern books since they can use more sci-fi elements and make for good beam fights. The book was short so it definitely didn’t drag on, but at the same time, it would be cool if the books could be longer. If you’re a DC fan, then I recommend checking this out. It only takes around 15 minutes so you won’t even lose much time if you dislike it. Although, I would still be surprised if you did not like the book. It’s so short that it’s hard to dislike it. The ending is arguably tragic or very thrilling. It depends on whose side you were on. So, who will you be rooting for in this book?

Overall 7/10

Kopaka vs Avak

Kopaka_new
Avak
Avak has some pretty powerful stone abilities and his long range abilities are decently good as well. Still, this won’t be enough to stop the mighty warrior of ice. Kopaka has the twin ice blades and one solid hit would be enough to take Avak down for the count. Blades have always been one of the greatest weapons out there so having them is a definite plus for Kopaka. Kopaka wins.

Superman vs Eric Reibel

Now, I’ve always been against Superman commiting murder. He’s the greatest of all comic book characters and he would never do such a thin. MoS and certain comics may try to change this, but the Superman that I know is from the DCAU. At his core, Superman’s a great guy who would never even think to do such a thing. Still, it is funny to see how some of the authors portray Superman. I had to make these guys fight so that you could see Superman and his “Hero” moment. Eric shouldn’t have tried to fight the Man of Steel! Superman wins.

Toon Link vs Peach

PEACH vs Toon Link
Toon Link is a sharp fighter and he has many weapons at his disposal. He definitely won’t go down easily and his speed could prove to be a critical weapon. Peach may be skilled as well, but not even her Shadow Queen form will be enough to win this round. When two powerful fighters have a battle, the faster one tends to be the victor. Toon Link wins.

Wildebeest vs Bass

Wildebeest
Bass_gif_BN_DT_DS_by_MegachimalX
Wildebeest is pretty tough, but I’d never put him at Bass’s level. Bass has his Earthbreaker attack and one good shot would instantly put an end to Wildebeest. Wildebeest doesn’t have the speed to dodge the attack and his durability isn’t high enough to endure it. Wildebeest’s only option at this point is to take a loss. Bass wins.

The BioLizard vs Sin Eater

The BioLizard is back once again, but he won’t be able to defeat Sin Eater….Well fine, he will be able to defeat the Sin Eater! Sin Eater has a gun, but that’s not nearly enough to take down The BioLizard. The BioLizard can shoot beams of intense power that can oneshot most opponents. The BioLizard wins.

Binky vs Iori

Binky is a pretty “Tough” kid, but he cant match up against someone with such power. Iori has some pretty intense sword abilities and he isn’t afraid of challenging a strong opponent. Binky isn’t quite as brave and his resolve isn’t as sturdy. Binky has lost this round, but at least he gave it his all. Iori wins
