Beast Boy vs Superman

11
This is a tribute to the Judas Contract. Beast Boy didn’t handle the Terra situation very well. She wasn’t even trying to be a nice person like in the TV show so that made it all the worse. Ah well, at least he was able to get over it fairly quick. Still, there’s no way he can hope to defeat Superman. Superman can lift whole buildings with 1 finger. Now that’s Power! Superman wins.

Robin (Damian) vs One Above All

This is a tribute to Justice League vs Teen Titans. Robin got a lot of development here and still managed to kick everyone around the whole time. That’s a win-win situation in my book. It’s kind of sad to have to drop the One Above All again, but he’s just the perfect target for these tribute battles. What’s he gonna do to try and stop Robin? He just has no attacks at his disposal that will present a threat to the Boy Wonder and that’s why he is doomed here. He’s just out of his league. Robin (Damian) wins.

One Above All vs Kino

This is a tribute to the Country of Illness. Kino is definitely not one of my favorite characters and she certainly isn’t a hero, but at least she knows her way around a gun. Kino will always shoot anyone who gets in her way and that applies to The One Above All as well. There’s not much that he can do to dodge the bullet after all and Kino’s also a whole lot faster than he’ll ever be. Kino wins.

Beast vs Leader

It’s time for the final round of the tournament. Who can possibly claim victory! Leader and Beast both have super strength that they have attained over the years, but the Leader is superior. He got the Hulk’s power and throughout all of his mutations, the Beast has never grown quite that strong. He is simply outmatched. Leader also has a lot of good inventions to back him up as well. There you have it, the first blog tournament is now over. The Leader has claimed victory and has risen up quite a few ranks on the blog. It is certainly a pretty historic moment for him. Stay tuned for an announcement of the next tournament at some point! Leader wins.

Here’s a link to the first ever tournament bracket.

Leader vs Beast Boy

It’s time for the second round of the semi finals. Beast Boy is a pretty versatile fighter who can turn into any animal that he can think. This means that he can fight in many different ways, but none of his forms are as strong as the Hulk. Leader figured out how to give himself the Hulk’s strength at one point and coupled with his great intellect and many armors…it will be enough to win the fight. Beast Boy just can’t deal with that level of strength. Leader wins.

Tuxedo Mask vs Beast

Tuxedo Mask is pretty strong for a human. His rose can cut through energy blasts and he has been shown to move at high speeds on occasion. It’s not all that consistent though and typically he does not look impressive by any stretch of the imagination. On the other hand, Beast has a decent amount of super strength and speed on his side as well. This round could really go either way which is fitting since a match this far into the blog tournament should be a close one. At the moment, I’d lean towards Beast here, but a re watch of the TV show could change that someday. Beast wins.

Hector Barbossa vs Zuko

Zuko
Suggested by JHG Hector Barbossa is from the Pirates of the Caribbean series. He’s a fairly decent pirate when compared to the others, but he won’t be able to handle Zuko. Zuko is a firebender so it’ll be pretty easy to engulf Hector in flames. Hector won’t survive that and he doesn’t have many counter measures of his own to compete. Swords and guns don’t amount to much when you’re up against a real opponent and that’s the problem for Hector. He’s simply outmatched right from the start. Zuko wins.

Guts vs Warpath

James_Proudstar_(Earth-616)
Suggested by JHG Guts finally makes his debut onto the blog. He’s a skilled swordsman and has a lot of raw power. His speed is also pretty good. Like Guts, Warpath has enhanced physical abilities as well, but I’d say that he’s at a disadvantage here. He doesn’t have the same level of crazy endurance that Guts has and no legendary armor to help him out either. How I see it, Guts is just stronger and more prepared for a fight than Warpath. The twin blades that Warpath uses are nowhere near as useful as the large sword that Guts wields. Guts wins.

Akame vs Kisame

Suggested by Random Kisame is a good swordsman but that won’t be enough to deal with Akame. Her speed is far greater than that of Kisame and she also has good technique with her swings. Kisame just won’t be able to stop her legion of blows and not even his final form will help to save him. Kisame is actually pretty powerful so a few good swings could deal a lot of damage but he is just too slow. Akame wins.

Dio Brando vs Asura

Suggested by Random Dio Brando is pretty skilled and he has certainly generated some intense memes over the years. That being said, he won’t be able to deal with Asura’s incredible speed and strength. Asura can break whole planets with ease and a little ice certainly won’t stop him. Asura even went toe to toe with Ryu which is no easy feat. I don’t expect Dio could do the same. Asura wins.
