Dio Brando vs Shadow

Supershadow_2
DioBrando_ASB
Shadow has abilities that are beyond most people’s comprehension and his speed is immense. Dio Brando’s been on a roll, but he’s finally met his match. Dio Brando has some pretty high levels of super strength and his ice abilities are good as well, but Shadow’s raw speed will be the deciding factor in this round. Dio Brando has taken his first loss in this battle. Shadow wins.

Graves vs Flash (Barry)

Flash (Barry) is very fast and Graves will have a very tough time keeping up with him. Graves just doesn’t have the light speed reactions needed to take down the Flash or even the durability to stay in the fight. Flash (Barry) takes another win and he shows why the Justice League should definitely not be underestimated. Flash (Barry) wins.

Living Tribunal vs Ant

An Ant is a tricky creature who can definitely put up a solid fight, but will he have what it takes to defeat the Living Tribunal? The Living Tribunal is a cosmic being and all that he has to do is step on the Ant to win this battle. The Ant may have a giant form thanks to THEM, but it just won’t be enough to stop this being. Living Tribunal wins.

Superman vs Graves

Graves is tough, but he’s no Superman! Superman is the Last Kryptonian alive….or at least he thought that was true for a while. His power is enough to shake whole planets and Graves just won’t be able to survive a fight against him. Superman’s speed is tremendous and he just can’t be stopped by this opponent. Superman wins.

Lego Marvel Superheroes Maximum Overload Review

title

Lego Marvel was such a success for the video game industry that they brought it back in time for an animated short. It is split up into 5 episodes and the plot is pretty similar to the game. Will the Heroes be able to unite and take the villains down or will they fall against the onslaught of powerful villains!?

Loki seems to be pretty bored and he wants to start wrecking some havok in the city. That’s when he gets a neat idea on how to make things tough on the heroes. He uses the Cosmic Snowballs (Well, that’s how they look anyway) to amp up the powers of the super villains. He uses it on Doctor Octopus and it’s up to Spider man! Along the way, Loki also amps up the Mandarin, Venom, and more.

Spiderman gets a pretty big role and he’s the main reason why Loki doesn’t end up causing major damage to the area. With his quick thinking and fast moving puns, Spiderman is able to completely overwhelm Doctor Octopus and Venom. They’re tough, but just not tough enough to take on Spiderman. Spiderman is portrayed pretty accurately in this special, but some people may wonder about the New Jersey reference. Lately Spiderman’s been taking a lot of shots at New Jersey in the animated universe. (Just check out Ultimate Spiderman) It’s all in good fun, but you do have to wonder why Spiderman always takes a shot at that state in particular.

Other heroes appear as well including Ironman. Ironman gets a decent sized role as well and it’s up to him to stop the Mandarin. He gets most of the epic facial expressions and is never fazed by all who stand in his way. The Falcon gets a cameo which will have to satisfy his fans for now. Thor and Hulk also arrive for battle as the Hulk takes on Abomination and Thor leads two of the other heroes to Loki for the ultimate battle.

It’s an entertaining short. Everyone is used for comedy, but the lines can be pretty good for some of the jokes. Spiderman is portrayed more accurately in the short than in his own show which is very ironic. It’s only around 15 minutes not counting the theme songs, so you’ll be done with the special in no time. Considering that the animation was lego related, it had some decent fights..for lego. I’d recommend this to big Marvel fans and people who just want to watch a happy video.

Overall 6/10

Clockman vs Nami

450px-ClockMan
Nami has her weather staff and she’s pretty quick, but in the end she won’t be able to take down Clockman. Clockman can shoot energy blasts of intense power and he’s got some arrows as well. Nami is strong, but in the end it won’t be enough to take down Clockman. Clockman finally rises up the blog ranks. Clockman wins.

Cyborg vs Flash (Barry)

2654737-barry_and_vic__2_
Cyborg is tough, but he was always more of a Teen Titan than a Justice Leaguer. Barry Allen easily outranks Cyborg and he could win this round via massive speedblitz. Cyborg’s energy blasts won’t be able to land a hit against the Flash. The Flash is far too fast and his attacks have a solid level of power to them as well. Flash (Barry) wins.

Sonic vs Olimar

Sonic and Olimar are staring at a spaceship...I hope
Olimar may be a pretty brave guy when he’s in outer space, but he’s a little out of his league in this round. Sonic is much faster than Olimar and he could easily crush him. Olimar doesn’t have the speed needed to outrun Sonic and he lacks physical power. Sonic is his superior in each of these areas and that is a significant advantage. Sonic wins.

Taskmaster vs Spiderman

TASKMASTER, SPIDER-MAN
Spiderman is a pretty light hearted fellow, but he knows when he needs to win. Taskmaster is an experienced hand to hand fighter in his own right, but he lacks Spiderman’s natural abilities. Spiderman has obtained the Power Cosmic in the past and he has a very large edge over Taskmaster. Taskmaster may have lost another round, but this isn’t the end of the road for him. Spiderman wins.
