I have now reached Level 48! It’s been a long road but I’m now one step closer to Level 50. It’ll probably still take a very long time before I’m there, potentially even years but I’ll keep at it until I’m at the top! This has definitely been the one mobile game where I’ve been in it since the start although at this point Mega Man X Dive is starting to keep up. Go may have finally found its first rival.
I have now reached Level 47! Still going strong as I try to catch them all. Closing in on the max level of 50, that will be quite the milestone.
I’ve finally made it to Level 46! Still going to be a long way to Level 50 but but I just gotta keep chugging along!
It took a long while but I’m finally all the way to Level 45! Definitely a fun milestone to be sure. It’ll probably be a long while until I make it to Level 46 though because I need close to 10 million XP to get all the way over there. Will keep on chugging along one step at a time though!
I’ve finally made it over to Level 44! Now this time it’s probably going to take a while to hit level 45 just due to how long the upcoming quests are. It’s been a fun jump over from 40 though. The journey must go on!
I have now reached Level 43! That gap definitely wasn’t so bad with the challenges being pretty doable. Next up, time to keep on launching to Level 44! At this rate my trainer level has exceeded all of my Pokemon so I’ll need to see if they can make a comeback or who should lead the charge.
All right, now I’m Level 42! That was definitely a much quicker process since the quests weren’t quite as bad. Next up, time to reach Level 43 and keep the roll going!
I’ve finally made it over to Level 41! It’s definitely been quite the journey at Level 40. It could be a while before I hit 50, but one step at a time and this is definitely a great milestone! Time to start focusing on XP more again like the ole days.
What happened to the Mobile update? Well, Pokemon Go is back to being the only mobile game that I’m still playing so I figured I may as well go back to calling it the Pokemon Go update. It’s actually been about 9 months since I’ve done an update so I figured it was about time I do a new one. A lot’s happened so I’ll just stick to the big stuff.
I’ve increased my Pokedex from 372/377 to 463/477 Pokemon that I’ve now caught. I’m definitely close to catching em all but there’s always a few that I’m still missing. I maxed out my bag space to 2000 so I finally don’t have to worry about it getting full. Well…in theory anyway, but it ends up getting full real quick anyway. For Pokemon space I increased it to 1800 which is a little more excessive since it’s a lot easier to clean the Pokemon out. It helps when I’m being lazy though as sometimes I can go weeks without clearing the extra Pokemon out. I’ve caught 10500 Pokemon and won almost 1000 battles since the last time I did an update. I’ve maxed out several Pokemon since then as well although I didn’t really keep track of which ones specifically. I’ll update my Pokemon Go Stats and Records page with that info though. Pretty short update, but that’s it from the world of Pokemon! One day I’ll have caught em all.
It’s time to look at another quick Pokemon manga. This one is about the Let’s Go game and decides to frame the one shot as being about the kids playing it as opposed to taking place in the game. It’s a tactic that Nintendo used earlier with another Pokemon manga so I guess they thought it went well. I do like this approach. I probably wouldn’t want it to happen too often but it’s a good change of pace once in a while to keep us guessing. This is a nice one shot to quickly check out before you play the game.
It starts with two brothers getting their copies of Pokemon Let’s Go. The main character is a longtime Pokemon fan so he’s been waiting for this one while the other admits that he has never played the Pokemon games before. Naturally the lead decides that this won’t do and so he lets the brother play first. As he is playing, the main character shows his bro the ropes. How to land a good catch and stuff like that. As this game takes mechanics from Pokemon Go it is a very different experience compared to most of the classic Pokemon games. A tutorial like this makes sense for newcomers although Nintendo’s always done a great job of making their games pretty self explanatory so I don’t think it would confuse you for long. As they play the two main characters quickly realize that this may be the best Pokemon game yet.
At the end of the day this is basically a glorified advertisement for the Pokemon Let’s Go game. I think it’s a pretty effective one though. The artwork looks nice and it is a very realistic showing of what the game looks like. The screens on the TV in the manga look accurate and all of the advice is quite sound. I never ended up getting the game myself so I had to forego my chance at getting all of those crispy Meltan gifts, but it’s definitely a title I could see myself getting one day once it has been long forgotten by the masses.
Overall, This is another good one shot. It helps that I am just a Pokemon fan in general. I don’t expect you will learn anything new here unless you somehow missed the Pokemon Go boom. Still, it’s a nice enough story to remind you that for some people, Pokemon Let’s Go will be their first big Poke experience. It’s definitely something to keep in mind when playing. It may not be the best installment yet, but if you hadn’t played the others then I think it would rank even higher. I’ll definitely be ready for when the next big Pokemon game comes out.
