Marcus vs Buu

Marcus may be coming off a big win, but I’m afraid that it’s all over here. He doesn’t really have any way of hoping to stop Buu. Buu is way stronger than Marcus and he is also considerably faster. He has absorbed Gohan in the past which gave him a form that can barely even be comprehended. He could end the solar system many times over with a single attack. If that isn’t true power then I don’t know what is. Things aren’t looking good for Marcus. Buu wins.

Lightning vs Kimimaro

Bones probably don’t conduct electricity all that much so that should help Lightning. I can’t say that I know much about bones though. Kimimaro is very fast in his awakened form and he might surpass Lightning there. What will help her fight back is Lightning’s array of spells and elemental attacks. Kimimaro can’t carelessly rush her or he’ll get hit and staying from afar will be dangerous as well. Odin might be a little less useful here than usual since he’ll have a tough time landing attacks but every bit helps. I think Kimimaro just doesn’t have enough attack options here and Lightning certainly has more combat experience. Lightning wins.

Marcus vs Hao

Marcus is the Digidestined of legend. He’s so much stronger than the rest of the humans in the series that you would think he is from DBZ. His Agumon also got some incredible forms like Shine Greymon Burst Mode. (Or was it Rise Greymon? One of those two) Meanwhile Hao is the Shaman King and so naturally he has a ton of abilities. He didn’t get to show them off too much but made up for it with the moments that he did get. In particular his final fight with the rest of the main characters was pretty impressive. It’s a tough pick, but I think Marcus has this. His durability will go a long way here and Greymon Burst Mode is quite fast. It’ll be tough for Hao to stay on top. Marcus wins.

Ms Marvel vs Accelerator

Accelerator is the strongest Esper in Index. He can manipulate vectors in a way that works like Graviton’s barriers. You can’t hope to stop him with direct attacks since they will just be bounced back. The best way to stop him is a bunch of sneak attacks or to just overwhelm the guy. After all, a single good hit will take him out if you get past that since he’s no more durable than your average teenager but that’s a lot harder than it sounds. Ms. Marvel does have a lot of power up her sleeve but I think she won’t quite have the speed to pull this off. Accelerator wins.

Mukuro vs Kimimaro

Both of these fighters couldn’t be any more different. Kimimaro attacks with a lot of physical options involving his spikes. He’s a fast fighter who attacks with decisive blows. Meanwhile Mukuro is an illusion master who has some pretty good physical moves, but that’s not really his forte. His illusions can become very real so it is hard to stop him. Right now I’m leaning towards Kimimaro but as with many matches in this tournament it is one that could really go either way. Kimimaro wins.

Lightning vs Kanda

Kanda_-_battle_damaged
It’s time for a battle of electric sword fighters. Kanda has some nice regenerative abilities on his end which complement his aggressive fighting style. Lightning’s no stranger to aggressive fighting either and has the speed to keep up with Kanda. I’d even say that she may be a little faster. While Kanda’s maximum power output may keep his strength a little above hers, Lightning’s omega weapon can help her block his attacks and her Odin summon should give her the edge. It’s a close match, but Lightning has triumphed once more. Lightning wins.

Zaraki vs Blackheart

Blackheart may have gotten a free pass to the second round, but it doesn’t seem like he will be getting any further than that. While his regeneration is pretty good, he won’t be able to keep up with the hits that Zaraki is inflicting. Zaraki’s power just gets even higher once his eyepatch is off. With that level of aura and speed, Blackheart has no way to prevent himself from being defeated. I’m afraid that it’s all over now. Zaraki wins.

Kanda vs Iori

gamaran-chapter-62-pic1
Iori is an exceptional swordsman. He has pushed swordsmanship to the limits of what is humanly possible. Unfortunately for him Kanda is barely even human anymore. His Innocence has allowed him to transcend his limits and he has access to high speed regeneration in addition to superhuman speed and strength. Iori is a genius, but even he won’t be able to figure out a way to stop Kanda here. Kanda simply has too many advantages at his disposal and Iori would need something supernatural to defeat him. Kanda wins.

Yang vs Zaraki

Yang is a skilled fighter who excels at various forms of combat including close quarters and long range. That being said, I don’t think she could stop Zaraki here. While Zaraki isn’t quite as fast as some of the other high end Bleach characters, he is still fast enough to be a little quicker than Yang. Her semblance will help her keep the fight close but with Zaraki’s iconic defensive abilities she won’t be landing nearly enough damage in time here. I’m afraid that her road ends early this time. Zaraki wins.

Jiren vs Gohan

Jiren’s been on a roll and even Gohan won’t be enough to stop him here. Jiren is easily one of the strongest characters of all time. Aside from characters with fusion as an option I dare say that at this point only Goku can take him down from the DB universe and counting other characters that list may only jump to 3. Jiren is a top contender and while Gohan won’t go down without a fight, it’s hard to really see him dealing much damage here. Once Jiren gets serious then it’s all over. Jiren wins.
