Beast Boy vs Penguin

It’s time for the real final match of round 1. The Penguin is a very smart villain although not as smart as some comics give him credit for. One issue actually had Batman admit that the Penguin was smarter than him and we all know that this isn’t true. Regardless, as a result, the Penguin has never achieved a real power up during the comics. There’s a chance that one exists and simply isn’t listed so feel free to let me know if you find something. Meanwhile, Beast Boy definitely takes this round for now as he can transform into some real dangerous animals and is simply a much better fighter. Beast Boy wins.

Grasshopper vs Nemo

The tourney’s first round ends with this round….or it should have. Beast Boy got sick watching too many Teen Titans Go reruns so his round with Penguin has been very temporarily postponed. Here, it looked like Nemo could have had a shot at his first victory, but it wasn’t to be. In the film Beginning of The End, Giant Grasshoppers stormed the capital and dealt major damage. That means that via composite rules, Nemo is fighting a kaiju and he wasn’t prepared for that. I certainly wasn’t either, but the film definitely sounds very intense. Grasshopper will be moving on and maybe he’ll be able to win it all! Grasshopper wins.

Alex Hopper vs Brontosaurus

This was an interesting round. According to some articles I was reading, Dinosaurs are effectively bullet proof. Not all of them, but the larger ones would be because of how thick their skin is and how little blood they would lose from getting shot. After that the question is…can Alex last long enough to do any real damage? It’s also been a while since I saw the film so I can’t remember if he got anything stronger than his sniper rifle towards the middle of the film. I can’t think of anything and the boats wouldn’t be handy here without any other crew. As of now, Brontosaurus takes the win and moves up, but this is definitely one that could change rather easily. Brontosaurus wins.

Diddy Kong vs Leader

The Tournament continues! Diddy Kong is a Smash Bros character who is actually high tier. The problem is that he isn’t a very strong character. His bananna tricks won’t do anything except slow the Leader down and his hand to hand skills aren’t good enough. Diddy Kong would need a significant speed upgrade to deal with the Leader’s Gamma Power and at that point he’d be DK. Diddy ends up dropping out of the tourney rather quickly, but best of luck for next time! Leader wins.

Ungoliant vs Gon

Ungoliant_and_the_Two_Trees
Suggested by iKnowledge Ungoliant is a pretty tough character, but she is completely outmatched against Gon. Gon has the massive edge in speed and I would also give him the edge in strength. His Nen really amps up his physical abilities while also giving him a good long range option in his paper blast. Ungoliant can’t take too many hits from Gon and she can’t catch the kid either. It’s quite possible that Ungoliant is the strongest spider in all of media, but that is just not enough. Gon wins.

Yami Yugi vs Gamera

Suggested by Anon Gamera is pretty powerful but he won’t last long against Yami Yugi’s array of monsters. Yugi’s has his dark magician as well as Slifer. Those 2 monsters have enough power on their own to take Gamera down. You don’t want to underestimate these duel monsters. Keep in mind that Yugi has dozens of other monsters he can use as backup. The odds are just stacked against the Kaiju this time. I’m sure he could take down a few monsters along the way though. Yami Yugi wins

One Above All vs Larry Appleton

Suggested by Anon Is that you Larry? That’s what you may be thinking here since Larry has been defeated more times than I can count. He just hasn’t shown that he can keep up with the big kids when the going got tough. That being said TOAA doesn’t have a very good track record either. This round is going to be a little controversial but I think Larry snags the win here. Let’s face it, at least Larry can throw a good punch and run around a lot. I can’t say the same for TOAA because he has never really fought before. He is an unknown variable. Larry Appleton wins.

Elliot Stabler vs Joker

Elliot_Stabler_in_Law_&_Order-_Special_Victims_Unit
Suggested by iKnowledge Stabler is good at solving crimes and putting criminals behind bars, but he isn’t ready to handle a foe as tough as the Joker. Joker has an array of gadgets at the ready and his hand to hand skills aren’t bad either. Stabler just needs a few good bullets to slow the Joker down, but he just isn’t prepared enough to win this round. He can’t outmaneuver the Joker’s array of tricks. Joker wins.

Kisame vs Darth Maul

Kisame_merged_with_Samehada
Suggested by KOiZo Kisame has a good amount of skills at his disposal and that should make a win easy to achieve. Darth Maul is a skilled Sith Lord so I don’t want to say that this is an easy win or anything but Maul’s Force abilities won’t be too helpful if he can’t catch Kisame. Kisame can run rings around Maul and his own physical strength is very high. A few hits is all he will need to claim victory. Kisame wins.

Bladewing Phoenix vs Kazane

unnamed (1)
Suggested by Sonic Bladewing Phoenix may not be the most popular monster mascot in Buddyfight, but he means well. He knows a lot about pretty much everything and has helped Kazane become a stronger fighter. That being said, she would easily be able to defeat him. It will always be tough for the buddy to defeat the duelist. It’s almost impossible to be honest. This will help Kazane bounce back from her earlier loss. Kazane wins.
